BREAKING: Ai Uehara Is Coming To Bangkok This June!

Here's a rundown of some of the top stories we had our eyes on in May
Ai Uehara's Set To Host A Wrestling Tournament In Bangkok, But What Happened To Her Voice?
What began as another night of doomscrolling through the wild west of JAV Twitter turned into a startling revelation as I stumbled across this clip from none other than Ai Uehara. And trust me, this wasn’t something I could ignore.
In the viral video that has caught the attention of more than 30k fans, Ai appears to stand in front of a masked background of AI-generated visuals. In her voice, oddly robotic, rings out with the kind of theatrical flair you'd expect from a WWE commercial as she narrates, “Hi, I’m Ai Uehara from Lemon Bar. I’m so happy to be here with all of you tonight. The lights, the energy, the excitement. Can you feel it? Are you enjoying the show so far? Well, don’t blink because things are just getting started this June 2025. I’ll be stepping into the 'setup' ring not just to fight, but to thrill, to dazzle, and to give you a night you’ll never forget.”
Perhaps, as you could’ve already made up from this, Ai is slated to appear in a professional wrestling event later this June in Bangkok, in collaboration with a local Thai promotion called SETUP.
The venue is still under wraps, but I believe they could end up hosting it in Lemon Bar, the neon-soaked venue in the heart of Bangkok’s club scene owned by Uehara herself.
Now, before we imagine her performing a piledriver, it’s unclear whether she’ll participate as a wrestler or play a glamorous MC, proud host, or even a ring girl for that matter. The latter could be accounted for by consideration.
The idea seems brilliant. Imagine a crossover between nightlife and fight night. After all, who better to pack a room than a JAV actress turned influencer?

But wait, throughout the clip, a particular detail I couldn’t miss was her voice in the video. Not hers. Longtime fans will recognize that Ai’s natural voice has a soft, distinctly Japanese touch that we've witnessed in her shoutout (clip attached below), not the oddly polished, generic accent heard in the promo clip as if it was straight outta 'siri’s throat. Let’s just be honest, nothing could’ve convinced us that it was not AI-generated.
“The pronunciation is really good, maybe it's processed using AI?” mused one skeptical fan.
View Spoiler
It’s not the first time we’ve seen stars dabble with voice dubbing to bridge language barriers, especially when engaging international audiences.
It was evident that she was masking her growing discomfort in the guise of AI to reach her targeted audience (read, international)
Lately, Ai has been keeping herself busy with multiple business ventures. It’s almost like she’s donned the hat of a savvy Silicon Valley startup founder. She opened a male beauty salon in Tokyo, catering to the rising trend of grooming-conscious men in their 20s and 30s. That venture is flourishing, now this bar she set up in Bangkok is hosting events trying to catch local attention.
Her SNS feed tells a more intriguing story. She’s been making frequent trips to Dubai, and while many assumed they were for leisure, one eyebrow-raising tweet hinted otherwise: "I'm in Dubai!! It's a glittering world, and I feel like the security itself is good for actually visiting and sightseeing. But I felt like it was a country where a lot of dollar moves around! I've been in the adult industry since I was 18 and was an AV actress for 5 years. Before joining the agency, I also did what we now call sugar dating. But I felt scared of the world where I wasn't protected, so I made up my mind and joined an agency to protect myself!"
Could there be a mysterious sugardaddy bankrolling her entrepreneurial ambitions? Whether or not she steps into the ring next month, she’s already pinned the internet to the mat with this tweet.
The wrestling event at Lemon Bar Bangkok is scheduled for late June 2025, with promotional posters already circulating on various platforms like her Instagram. And you certainly won't want to miss it. So this might be your sign to book that flight to Bangkok, after all!
And who knows? Maybe the next tweet won’t be about a wrestling ring at all, but a nightclub opening in Dubai.
Here's What Asuka Momose's Countdown Was All About!
After mysteriously retiring in December 2023 and leaving fans devastated, Asuka Momose made a low-key return to social media earlier last year, around the same time. But it was not until last week that a cryptic countdown on her official X account caught my eye. And honestly, I was stoked to learn what she had in store for us.
And much to the surprise of her fans, Asuka just pulled off the ultimate move by surprising them with her latest career development. For the unversed, she dropped her previous name and signed exclusive contracts under three new studios.

Now that the cat’s officially out of the bag, let me introduce you to Oguri Misao, Asuka’s new moniker for her second stint in the industry. Let us know what you think of it in the comments down below.
To confirm the move, the 25-year-old retweeted Honnaka’s post, as she confirmed the rumors, "I'm Misao Oguri, and I'm now a triple-exclusive!"
Mind you, she has become a triple exclusive, something not many actresses have the privilege of being (in this industry), and this is the first announcement of its kind. That means fans can now expect three new films a month, one from each studio. Wonder what a packed schedule it’s gonna be for her!
"I'm very happy to be able to leave another work in this form," she wrote in her latest tweet. "From now on, I'll be releasing three films every month. I think you'll enjoy each one in its way, so please look forward to it!"
I believe having opted for studios like Honnaka, Das, and ROYAL, all having distinct plot themes and fanbases, will give her the freedom to explore a variety of niches and enhance her performance without leaving her exclusivity behind.

In my opinion, this particular move will certainly shake up the release calendars of all three studios, with June poised to be the month she makes a comeback under Honnaka. The studio is reportedly betting big on her debut title, which is expected to headline their summer lineup.
On the other hand, fans have reacted to the tweet with X and “Asuka is gone, long live Misao!” showing full support for the 25-year-old.
Asuka has undoubtedly engineered a launch worthy of a blockbuster film premiere, but it remains to be seen if she has the X factor to pull this off this time, and rather not disappear like she did last time.
This is perhaps one of the most sought-after comeback headlines of 2025 and how the JAV fairs, remains to be seen in the coming weeks.
"I Can't Even Go Out Alone" Yui Tojo Abruptly Retires From JAV, Citing Health Crisis.
Kawaii AV has a knack for finding cute talents. One such name is Yui Tojo, a very cute JAV actress with pale skin and almost doll-like aesthetics who broke into the scene in early 2023. But just as she was on her usual trajectory, Yui seems to have made a shocking exit from the spotlight with serious health concerns that have made it impossible for her to continue filming JAVs and even leave the house alone.
Through a heartfelt letter posted on X on May 17, 2025, the 23-year-old actress dropped what might be a gut punch for fans who had hoped to see her reemerge with a new JAV after what might’ve been a few months of radio silence. Rather, she chose to apologize and possibly deleted her account, citing. "I, Yui Tojo, will retire from being an AV actress... I can't even go out alone, so I have decided that I can't return to work," she wrote. "I love working in AV. I love all the fans who support me."
Yui was no ordinary rookie, she had that distinct look that set her apart. When she made her debut with Kawaii* on May 2, 2023, the JAV cover must’ve grabbed a few eyeballs. Her bio read, a supposed kindergarten teacher with dreams of becoming an AV star before tying the knot. It was a narrative tailor-made for fantasy, and fans ate it up.
Then there was her petite 161 cm frame, D-cup charm, and innocent looks that made her an overnight sensation. Yui Tojo wasn’t just another pretty face; she was marketed by the studio as the kind of girl next door who could light up screens with her almost doll-like characteristics.
Backed by her agency, Krone, she quickly built a fan following across platforms, especially on X and Instagram.
For the first few months, everything seemed to be on the upswing… until it wasn’t.
Around late 2024, Tojo’s SNS activity began to dwindle. Her last Instagram post was uploaded in November, an adorable selfie with no hint of what was to come. Then came the silence, which gave room to speculations, was she changing agencies, or secretly working on a side project
Instead, on May 17, 2025, she reappeared on X with a message that likely no one was expecting. "I was looking forward to meeting you all in person... but my health has been unstable since last fall."
What I could make from her message was that Yui has been grappling with an undisclosed illness that has progressively worsened to the point where she cannot safely go out without assistance. The decision to cancel fan meets, something she seemed genuinely excited about, was not taken lightly.
What surprised fans is the deletion of her X account shortly after the announcement.
Though her X account is gone, Yui’s Instagram has remained up, albeit dormant since November 2024. The question now is: why?
Is she keeping it alive to lurk or possibly make a comeback? There’s always a likelihood of that happening
Industry insiders are staying tight-lipped, and Krone has not issued any official statement, fueling even more speculation. Some fans believe she might reemerge under a new name, while others worry her condition may be more serious than she let on.
Tojo’s sudden departure has triggered a wave of tributes from fellow performers, directors, and especially fans. Many have reposted clips, screengrabs, and personal messages, remembering her most iconic moments and gentle personality.
One fan commented: "She wasn’t just beautiful. She had this shy but warm vibe like she really cared about the people watching. It never felt like she was faking it."
In a corner of the internet known for brutal turnover and even harsher critics, Tojo’s farewell is being treated with rare tenderness. Perhaps it’s because she represented something different, a purity in performance, an honesty in presentation, and a vulnerability that now feels tragically prophetic.
Will we ever see Yui Tojo again? For now, it seems unlikely. Her message was clear: this isn’t a hiatus or a break. It’s goodbye.
And yet, some fans are holding out hope. Maybe she’ll return in the near future, under a different moniker like Asuka. After all, the AV world is full of stories of reinvention. But for now, Yui Tojo has chosen to close her chapter with grace, sadness, and gratitude.
“Thank you so much for everything up until now,” she wrote. “I love all the fans who supported me.”
So do we, Yui.
Wherever you are, we hope you’re healing. And if this is the end, thank you for everything. You were a ray of light in an industry that sometimes forgets how much its stars shine outside the studio.
SOD's Yuu Sasamoto To Retire With Eight JAVs To Her Name
This breakout JAV star’s career took a nosedive, thanks to her pulling the plug early on her JAV career. In a carefully worded statement tweeted on May 23, Yuu Sasamoto announced her exit from the industry, sans any mention of a possible farewell JAV or event for that matter, but with a low-key SNS tweet.
“This is a sudden announcement…”

— 笹本ゆう (@yuuu1116ura) May 23, 2025
That’s how Yuu began her retirement message. After less than a year in the industry and just eight officially released works to her name, fans had been bracing for something big. Many hoped it would be a milestone project that she landed. Instead, all they got was a ‘goodbye’ tweet.
“I had originally planned to shoot a retirement work and have the opportunity to express my gratitude to my fans directly, but I am truly sorry that my retirement has come in this way.”
Phew! There goes your possibility of a farewell JAV in thin air but perhaps, her final appearance, a JAV with a plot that comprised of a steamy trip to Ishiwa Onsen released in January 2025 might retroactively stand as her final work as she noted, "I will be retiring from adult film after her final work was released in January 2025. Although it was a short time, it was a very valuable experience in my life, and I am truly grateful for the fun times we had."
But strangely, such a quiet exit from someone who had been positioned as SOD’s next big thing and the absence of a farewell JAV, combined with her decision to delay the announcement, has only fueled online rumors.
Back in the day of her debut, SOD introduced her as someone who's set to marry her fiancé. Before being used to one d*k for the rest of her life, she wanted to do something bold and memorable.
In an Instagram follow-up, Yuu clarified that the decision wasn’t due to the usual JAV retirement rumors, no boyfriend, no pregnancy, no secret marriage. But she admits there are things she can’t say.
“Because of contractual obligations with my agency and the production company, there are some things I’m not allowed to disclose.”
Still, she dropped some hints regarding her exit: she found a new dream, a career path she genuinely wanted to pursue. But the catch is that a new dream isn’t exactly compatible with on-screen intimacy.
“Life is limited… and although I'm 23, I’ve thought deeply about what I want to do. I found a job I truly want.”
Moreover, she revealed that she has long struggled with her health, and that ultimately played a significant role in her decision. She’s been prone to illness, and her condition has deteriorated enough to halt filming for an extended period, like her fellow actress (mentioned earlier), Yui Tojo. That alone would make any return to production risky, if not impossible.
“My health has continued to decline. I’ve been unable to shoot for a long period.”
Behind the scenes, it appears that her management had been scrambling. If sources are to be believed, SOD Group invested heavily in Sasamoto’s debut pushing a made-up “cram school teacher” narrative that helped her early videos go viral on X. Heck, she even had specially coded releases under the label which not many actresses enjoy
It’s now reported that SOD even crafted a character background for her... a supposedly “independent” debut without an agency when in reality, she was being carefully cultivated by one of the group’s most experienced teams.
But sadly, all that effort went into vain as her entire AV career lasted just seven months. Eight videos with not even a proper send-off.
While some fans have taken to social media to express their disappointment, most are surprisingly supportive.
“We barely had time to get to know her,” one commenter wrote on a fan forum. “But you could tell from her work that she was special. She deserves to follow her dreams.”
Others are less forgiving. “SOD invested so much in her. Eight films? That’s it? She ghosted the entire genre.”
For agencies, the early retirement of a promising star like Yuu isn’t just emotional, it’s financial. “In this business, the actress is the boss. It’s no longer the era where contracts can force compliance.”
Although an exit is impending, her Instagram account remained online for a while, though she’s hinted she’s undecided about whether she’ll keep it active. Yuu wrote, "As for whether I will keep my various social media accounts after my retirement, I have not yet decided, so I will let you know at a later date."
The possibility of a return under a different name, as other actresses have done, is also prevalent.
But despite her short stint, Yuu made a lasting impression with those I-cup racks and a small but impactful body of work that leaves something for the fans to revisit. So what now?
At the end of the day, it’s a loss for SOD, but Yuu seems content with her decision. In an industry where fame is often fast and fleeting, she steps back, not embroiled in scandal, but in search of a purpose. For those hoping for a miracle comeback, Yuu Sasamoto has made sure it ends on her terms.
