Yea, you know why. If you know the flow with these reviews for JAV series, then you know that given how we only have so many slots a month for updates and so many great movies to show, sometimes sequels just fall through the cracks again and again. For a salient example, look no further than today and Wednesday's near bursting almost four hour update, the fifth in a popular series by PETERS whose last update on ZENRA was almost 1.5 years ago (!). So yea...we're sorry. We know this series and this concept is popular and dammit, we so wish PETERS would bring that van out of retirement because to my mind at least, the concept shown in PEOPLE MONITORING - INVESTIGATING IF REAL FRIENDS AND COWORKERS WILL HAVE SEX seems both simple and relatively low cost to pull off. After all, no need to rent a pricey studio when a possibly out of inspection mid 2000's gutted out van in a coin parking lot in Kabukicho will do the job!

And yes, I say Kabukicho because while I may be intimately familiar with certain parts of Japan, this update also brings something new to me at least: not counting JAV movies that feature some extremely recognizable landmarks, this may be the first one where in two of the scenes at least, I immediately knew exactly what random alleyway in Kabukicho they shot the outdoor 'street approach' part in. I only know it, by the way, because now facing the street is a budget hotel whose dining room looks directly out at the exact same buildings and I just happened to stay there only a few months ago...let's just say it was a strange surprise.

But of course, for the few reading these prolix reviews, the question is less my own personal Japanese adventures and more about the movie itself. Obviously, the promotional material on this page should be more than enough to satisfy one's visual (and aural if you watch the trailer!) curiosities, but is the movie good or not? Also obviously: we try to avoid licensing duds because these releases take a lot of time to subtitle right so no, this movie is far from bad. In fact, it's excellent. In fact, there has been no bad movie in this series. Sadly (if you can even use that word here), the format remains identical. The only difference is four pairs of new faces. Nevertheless, the flow is where it's at. Yes, all four pairs bang or we wouldn't have a movie, but going from friends/coworkers to then and there sex-mates is the journey that makes these amazing and unless you speak Japanese, you're going to need our subtitles; rapid fire lines, word-play galore, and some unexpected innuendo wedded to well-timed humor makes this series a gift that keeps on giving.

We will try hard to get the sixth (and final with this specific theme) iteration out sooner than 1.5 years from now. We can't promise the world, but when it comes to JAV movies with the tried-and-true never-gets-old "people monitoring" theme, I dare say that while far from a single studio does it, PETERS seems to have a knack for it that puts them pretty much at the top.
