Physical

Facially I wasn't really a fan of Kaoru. She had a rather plain face, and when coupling that with her resting bitch face I couldn't get behind it at all. I suppose her lack of enthusiasm also contributed, because that kind of default expression isn't as nice if you always get it. I think especially with her hairstyle, I'm just not a huge fan of those short cuts that are very neat like hers was. She looks a lot better when she's smiling and he hair isn't so uniform, as you can see above. As much as I'd like to believe she could look nice, the video I watched didn't inspire any confidence in that happening regularly.

Her boobs were just solid, I thought. I didn't think they were as nice as covers make them out to be, and there was just so much hype for her and her boobs that I was a little let down. They also looked a bit smaller than I anticipated, which you noticed during paizuri. They stilled looked nice enough and jiggled well, so I can't complain too much. That being said, I think when comparing to a lot of other S1 debuts we've seen in recent months and years, like Aka Asuka, Mahina Amane, and Konan Koyoi, I just couldn't really find myself wanting Kaoru's over the others. Middle of the pack at S1 is still pretty good in the grand scheme of things, I just think that there was way too much hype for them.

Her ass was not really good at all, she's definitely someone you want more of from the front. Especially with her being in great shape, you definitely wanted to watch her from the front and couldn't have cared less about her ass.

Performing

As a performer Kaoru was pretty mediocre. She moaned a lot, far more than anyone would be comfortable watching. She also just didn't have any nice expressions so the whole time it was hard to enjoy her. You can see from the clip above but it's not pretty. Yes, that clip is while she's having sex, but even during the plot parts she wasn't great either.

Kaoru did get nice and sweaty in the end but I couldn't see anything that suggests it's a common occurrence for her. It looks more like they did it artificially, which is a shame because it could have been something nice. I'll at least take what I can get here cause it definitely looked nice, and S1 has another series or two where this would do well.

Video Review

Kaoru plays a glamour idol who is best friends with the guy's girlfriend. More than that, she's actually got a thing for him, and there's a bit of sexual tension between them. When her best friend goes out of town, the tension boils over and the two of them have their fling.

Kaoru's performance was quite awful. I mean seriously, she could barely even smile and it made her come across quite stoic. I felt like it hurt the fling aspect because her inability made it feel more like a drama than a fun and lighthearted video. Even as they tried to interject with things like the girlfriend calling, Kaoru just didn't do as good of a job as you would have liked to see.

The content was equally not very good. These types of videos tend to be rather weak and rely more on the actress performing to sell the content. That's not to say this sort of cohabitation type stuff can't be good on its own but it's difficult to vary the content well enough. We got two sex scenes in the bedroom and none of them had particularly good lighting. Some of the shorter scenes in between were much better but I don't think they made up for the rest of the content, especially when the sex scenes were overwhelmingly the majority of the video's content.

Career

Kaoru's career is definitely the highlight for her. She was a gravure (non-nude) model turned porn star, which meant a fair number of people knew her already. Debuting at Muteki was a huge deal when it happened. For those that don't know, Muteki is basically a farm studio for debuts. They focus only on debut releases or the first few videos from a debut they've had. What made it a really big deal is that Muteki hadn't released anything in a while, and people thought the studio was dead. It was a pretty big shock, and made a lot of people pretty excited because a ton of huge names have come through them. Notably we've seen names that have moved on to S1 like Miu Nakamura, Nanami Matsumoto, Yuri Oshikawa, Miharu Usa, and Yua Mikami, so people definitely have high opinions of Muteki debuts.

Kaoru moved to S1 for her second release and has been there since. Like I mentioned above, this is a very common path for Muteki debuts, so I think absolutely nobody was surprised. She's been having a lot of low-effort releases at S1 that hasn't been too inspiring for her, though it's not uncommon for actresses to have quite a few low-effort things around their debut. We've seen that happen with other S1 debuts as well and Kaoru isn't really outside the norm here. I wouldn't really look at it to think that her career is off to a bad start, especially with how popular she has been.

Speaking of her popularity, Kaoru has been very popular. She started off right at the top and slowly moved down the rankings. She's still been on the chart every month but I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't make it sometime in 2022. The trend line already supports exactly that, so in 2022 I don't really expect her to be a big name.

Verdict

Rating - D

It is unlikely I will ever watch her again and I won't be paying any attention to them.

Giving a D rating to someone from S1 feels wrong but I really don't like Kaoru. It feels like she was definitely overhyped, just the fact she came from Muteki blew a lot of people away. It seems like she's settling more into a high top 100 position (80-100) rather than a top 10 like when she debuted. That seems about right to me and I wouldn't be surprised to see her fall off the list completely if nothing changes. If you're one of the many that disagree with me and think she's worth checking out, make sure to give her a follow on Twitter.
