JAV Sales Report - July 2025

Welcome to the July Sales Report. We're now half way through the year officially with data so let's go see what's going on. Is Kanna Seto still on top? Can anyone dethrone her actually?

I feel like the entire SOD roster is up on this list. Mana Sakura, Suzu Honjo, Riko Hoshino, Yotsuha Kominato, Hikari Aozora, MINAMO, Momona Koibuchi, Rei Kamiki… that’s eight different actresses on their roster in the top 25. That basically never happens, I’m not even sure if it’s ever happened. I think we’re seeing the impact of SOD shutting down their own distribution platform. If anyone had any doubts as to how popular SOD’s roster was, this is the proof.

Suzume has been doing well for herself and stuff so far is just the tip of the iceberg. September has a release that looks pretty solid alongside Sayaka Nito (who is freshly transferred to Dahlia). Sure, I expect them to be a bit bland and for the video to be worse than others I’ve seen in this hot spring kind of video (especially with the NTR theme), but there’s just something about double the actresses that’s nice. I think especially as they seem to stack up well to each other, I expect Suzume and perhaps even Sayaka to keep up this trend for a little bit longer.

Emika Shirakami has been extremely impressive to me. Her early career is blowing past any expectation I could reasonably have for an S1 debut, breaking grounds I didn’t even think were possible. She’s also got this innocent schoolgirl vibe that feels like it suits her. That works for me if they want to keep giving her those releases.

I always keep wondering if I sell Waka short a little because homegirl is everywhere. From Squid Game parodies to a lesbian with Jun Suehiro, she’s just always finding herself in the hottest films. Especially with how good she is at squirting and deepthroating, feels like I really need to watch her more. It’s kind of unsurprising to see her way up high with these releases, and really feels like more people are thinking what I am.

1, 2, or 3? Personally I’m camp 2 but I feel like you can do no wrong with any of them. Or better yet, how about all three like this Madonna release has. It’s fun watching Nao Masaki take some generic milf theme and turn it into something wild like this. Sure, go ahead and tell me Hana and Non don’t seem like milfs, I’m going to ignore you as I watch their lovely boobs.

It’s always nice to see veterans like Hibiki doing well against all the newcomers. And honestly, I don’t even blame people when Hibiki looks incredible to this day. I find she’s teetering into that milf territory, where my brain keeps wanting me to not call her a milf even though she’s in her mid 30s. I still find she has a lot of so-so videos, and this one certainly feels that way. I guess it helps when you look fantastic that you can get by with such mediocre content.

Have you ever seen something so perfect? A bright winter’s day with an adorable busty woman out in the cold. That’ll perk those nips right up, perfect for the fun we’ll have! Yu Tano throws me for a loop sometimes because I’m not used to these busty women having such playful personalities. They tend to just accept that they have big boobs and put in minimal effort, or maybe they’re the milf kind that is kind of timid. Yu just seems so lovely and adorable and I’m here for it all. If they ever figure out a way to properly capitalize on it she’ll be unstoppable. I mean, she’s already got three releases in the top 10 here, but who knows how popular she can get.

People have been saying good things to me about Rui Shido. I looked at her at first and went “she’s no Kanna Seto and certainly no Yu Tano”. But on second thoughts maybe she’s not as bad as I pin her. She has 90I cup boobs which are certainly on the bigger side. Again, not that she’s competing with the biggest S1 has to offer but she’s certainly got a nice pair.

Kanna is just on a constant tear, just look at any list and she’ll be at the top. Top of physical sales? Check. Best physical and digital releases? Check. Top of Bookmate? Check. I don’t even need to look to know this is the best a debut has ever done and there’s no signs of slowing down. It’s absolutely insane to think she’s leaving Saika in the dust. If anyone was wondering who the new it girl for S1 would be you’re crazy to think it’s not already Kanna. I’m really hoping she’s worth the hype when I finally watch her, which will most likely be in the very near future. If anything I’m glad S1’s prime star has some nice 101J tits, it’s about time their ace was my kind of actress.

Sometimes I look at Noa and think she’s doing really well for herself only for them to pull another random masked video and pretend like she’s a butterface. I mean, I guess I do somewhat agree but my word are those boobs something magical. This one isn’t even a new video which just sort of shows you how she can randomly pop up like she’s doing well. Turns out boobs do solve all problems

Miu Shiromine (白峰ミウ) has baffled me for a while because dropping out of IP always felt like a blow to her career she wouldn’t recover from. She’s been surprisingly popular as a shared exclusive between Attackers and Premium. Now she’s at Wanz Factory? Doesn’t even look like exclusive, maybe the beginning of a freelance career? I guess we’ll just have to watch along and see how it goes.

Miyu Kinohata (清原みゆう) feels like she’s overshadowed a bit at S1. There’s certainly nothing wrong with her, she’s plenty attractive and has a nice figure. But when she isn’t the strongest performer then I just always find myself reaching for bigger boobs. I guess to some degree that’s universally true with her often scoring far lower than others, but this is a good month with her rising up to 17th place. I mean sure, she’s still below several others at S1 with bigger boobs (Kanna, Yu, and Ako), but it’s still good to see she’s got it.

Julia is like this ever-present actress that will always have a steady following. Sure, I think 44th place is a bit low, she also usually isn’t high if even at all on Bookmate. Gone are the days she’s at the top, lost to time as she’s fully blossomed as a milf. For me, I still love her and will keep watching her even when she’s 50. I’m honestly getting a bit tired of them still calling her boobs 101cm J cup, feels like they’re afraid to measure those puppies again. I mean, I guess I would too if they were going to drop a couple of sizes. Fans know so it’s not like it changes anything, and they’re still quite nice even if they’re no longer peak boobs as she once had.

So the cat’s out of the bag now with Ai Sayama’s (佐山愛) retirement film being listed. What an incredible run she had, 18 years as one of the best around. She’s long since been a favourite of mine and has often placed in my top 10 actresses. I was wondering why she decided to film again with Moodyz recently and I think it might just be her picking them as the retirement studio. I mean, she’s filmed more videos with them than any other studio by my count so it’s not all that surprising. It’s honestly a little surprising the back cover of films has stuff that isn’t for Moodyz on it, though she only has around 50 videos with them and the wall has quite a bit more than that. Either way it’s sad to see her go and it’s a void I won’t soon fill.

When Madonna dropped Sayuri Hayama (葉山さゆり) I thought for sure she would just fade into oblivion. I am genuinely surprised to see her as popular as she is. I look at so many of her videos and go “oh, and this is supposed to be good?”. SYKH, MOON, HALE… these are not codes you see because they’re relatively obscure studios. She’s basically filming with whatever random milf studio there is. Which, okay, I get it, a job is a job. But I’ll be damned if these don’t look so mediocre that I can’t figure out what she has that makes her popular.

Momoko Isshiki (一色桃子) is like the textbook definition of underrated milf. I don’t know many people who like her, she’s never really spoken about in the circles I’m in. And yet here she is casually in 74th place. She’s quietly racked up a surprisingly good career hitting her 100th release with Madonna in July. That’s close to 9 years with a once a month release schedule which is rather surprising. I only started watching her myself half way through her career but she’s been pretty nice all things considered. Glad to see her getting some well-deserved appreciation, and here’s to another 100 videos!

It’s really interesting to see actresses push the boundaries on how attractive you can remain as you become older. 30s? Sure, in my mind even better than 20s. 40s? Okay we’re starting to push it, but there are plenty of nice women. 50s? Is that even possible? Maki Tomoda (友田真希) is really trying to prove it, which maybe is happening from so many fans she’s had through her illustrious career. Or at least I’d be saying that if she was the only one doing well. There are several others on the list that look like they’re Maki’s age and doing every bit as good as her. Maybe all us milf lovers are on to something…

Remember when Aika Yumeno (夢乃あいか) was one of the best and brightest newcomers to S1? What a long time ago that was, way back when they were still using the SOE code for their videos. That’s honestly about the earliest I go back, I wasn’t watching JAV all the way back during ONED days. Anyway, more on topic, Aika doing well is a nice change of pace. I feel like these days so much of S1 is focused on the huge boobs or like the one Saika at the top of the industry. And it’s not like Aika’s boobs are small, but because she’s so petite they don’t quite feel as big. And of course, her H cups don’t quite compare to the Ks and Ls of the roster. That’s especially true when the theme is boob bukkake because I don’t know about you but there’s at least 5 if not 10 pairs there I’d rather enjoy. Aika also feels like she’s past her prime, which I suppose is par for the course when you get to 10+ years. That’s not to say she’s bad but sometimes you need to make way for the new.
