SOD Actress Makes A Comeback After Battling Illness!
Well, that explains the silence! If you've been wondering why Yotsuba Kominato hasn't been as active lately, she finally shared the reason herself, and it's probably not the update fans were expecting.
For those who may not remember, Yotsuba debuted with SOD in 2022 as Rikako Inoue before later rebranding as Yotsuba. Since then, she's remained part of SOD and quietly built a loyal following of her own.
Recently, she posted a message to fans explaining that she had been dealing with a pre-existing medical condition.
According to Yotsuba, both her symptoms and test results began showing signs of worsening, which ultimately led her to temporarily step away from JAV filming so she could monitor her health.
What stood out to me was that she admitted she wasn't sure how things would develop. In fact, she said that uncertainty was one of the reasons she delayed telling fans what was happening.

You can understand why. When you're still waiting for answers yourself, it's difficult to know what to tell everyone else. Fortunately, the update wasn't entirely bad news.
After spending time monitoring her condition, Yotsuba says her symptoms have eased somewhat, allowing her to return to work gradually, and that's an update I think most fans will be relieved to hear.
But she was also realistic about the situation. Yotsuba explained that, moving forward, she'll continue to discuss her schedule with her agency and prioritize her health, which may mean longer gaps between releases than fans are used to. But you don't have to wait!

Because while reading her statement, one thing became very clear: She's not trying to rush anything. She's trying to make sure she can continue doing what she loves for as long as possible. What surprised me most, however, was her attitude. Despite everything, she sounded remarkably upbeat.
In fact, she described her spirits as being "sky-high" and promised to continue approaching each JAV carefully and in her own style, and that optimism is hard to miss.
And if you've been following Yotsuba recently, you'll know she's already been making changes.
Just last month, she participated in a fan-collaboration JAV that attracted plenty of attention. Around the same time, fans also noticed something else... her hair.
Gone was the familiar dark-haired look many people associated with her. Rather, she chose a striking blonde transformation. Honestly, it took me a second to recognize her.
The new look feels completely different from the image she debuted with, but somehow it suits this current chapter of her career surprisingly well.
So while the past few months may have left fans worried, it sounds like Yotsuba is gradually finding her footing again.
