Biggest Losers in JAV of 2026 (so far)

Nene Tanaka is easily one of my favorite actresses so including here her really hurts. Unfortunately, I can't deny the sad reality that her 2026 so far has been utterly forgettable. She was already showing signs of slowing down going back to the tail end of 2025 and that trend only continued into the new year. You can practically count all her new releases on one hand, that's how sparse it's been. She had a few with mostly low budget studios that weren't anything of note. In April, she did have a doujinshi adaptation that seemed promising but ended up as a complete dud and one of my biggest disappointments of the year. The only film I liked was a collab with Reika Takeda courtesy of GloryQuest. I realize she's not exactly built for mainstream appeal and won't be garnering many opportunities, but still. I'm hoping we see an uptick for the second half of the year although it's not likely.

While Yu Tano is still charting well and maintaining her popularity, I can't say the same for my personal rankings. Unfortunately, Yu Tano has fallen way off for me. There are two major reasons for this. One is her weight loss. I don't wanna be too harsh on this subject as I know she's had a rough time dealing with it and fans criticizing her for it. So much so that she's just recently taken a break from SNS. That said, it did really turn me off from her. She became way too skinny. The other reason is that her releases were just flat out mediocre and repetitive. Many felt like she was always playing the same type of roles over and over with a submissive stance. The only slight variety we got was SNOS-184 which was just an utterly painful generic titty play/massage film. I do think Yu can rebound if she gets back to a healthy weight. The rest falls onto S1, which is a different story...

Here we have another S1 exclusive who also suffers from a similar fate. While Miyu did see slightly more variety, I can't say any of it was really that enjoyable. Her first release of the year, SNOS-063, was okay but really nothing more. She had a nurse film next although it did little to excite me, and that's coming from a huge fan of nurse themes. After that it went downhill fast with a staple of S1, the ol' titty play/stimulation theme. I can't stand it. It has no spice and is just a complete bore. She then followed it up with a couple submissive type films which seems to be the trend for her. I'm not a fan of those personally so they were a huge skip. And physically, I'm sorta falling out of favor with her. I think it's due to there being a bunch of busty actresses that have popped up and have taken the spotlight. I hate to say it but I'm almost completely checked out on her. Unless she drops a major banger soon, I'm moving on.

It pains me to put Hana Kurosaki on here but I can't deny that she's had a lousy first half of the year so far. Now unlike some others on this list, she's not here due to some wild weight loss or any other physical change. It's just that her output was extremely lackluster. I was hyped at first upon learning that Hana was becoming a freelancer at the end of 2025. I really thought she could blow up going into the new year but that couldn't be farther from the truth. Sadly, a good chunk of her films have been with lower tier studios with a clear middling budget. Beyond that, she's had a few sparse releases with mainstream studios such as Das! and a collab through Moodyz but none of which were all that great. Even worse is that a fair share of her playing a submissive role. It's maddening as she's at her best when she's in control. There was not a single release from her this year that I can recommend. I sincerely hope she can turn it around but I'm not holding my breath.

Ren Gojo's placement here is less about her film output and more about her physical transformation. That being said, her releases still weren't all that great. I was very eager to see what would be next for her after she transferred over to Moodyz from S1. However, the results are pretty underwhelming. You had a few NTR videos which really aren't my cup of tea, a bland sex worker/soapland film, and a lousy captured secret agent video. The only release I enjoyed was a paizuri focused film but even it wasn't anything mindblowing. The worst part through all this though was her slimming down. She lost a good bit of weight sadly, along with most of my interest. It's affected her face and stomach clearly but worst of all is her chest. Her tits have not only shrunk but gotten saggier as a result. It's such a huge downgrade. Until she puts some weight back on, she's likely off my watchlist until further notice.
