BREAKING: Rino Sakurano DISTANCES Herself From JAV!

Catch up on the most trending gossip that we had our eyes on in September

I bet our readers skipped this, but here’s news that is not worth skipping. Rino Sakura recently updated her X bio to " Looking for a New Name!”, and you know something is going on!

For the unversed, Rino Sakura, who made her AV debut with S1 last year, has publicly started asking fans for suggestions for a completely new stage name.

Which is quite uncommon for a fan to hear; why does she need a new name anyway? Apparently, she’s walking away from both her agency and current studio.

Rino recently revealed that she left T-Powers, the agency she had been affiliated with for roughly two years. But apparently, she didn’t know how to explain everything to her fans, so she waited until now to finally talk about what happened. Looking back, there were already signs that things weren't right. She had essentially no activities throughout August and barely updated her social media.

So I’m sure some fans had already started wondering: “What’s going on with Rino?” Well, now you know.

Rino explained that she wants to meet and interact with fans more frequently and on a more personal level than before. Apparently, that’s one of the reasons she’s decided to make the switch. Rino says she’ll switch to being a full-blown freelancer from now on, taking on different kinds of projects without signing with another agency.

And perhaps that’s why she is looking for a new name. Rino’s basically starting over!

But what does that mean for her AV career? Well, this is where things get a little complicated.

Given how the Japanese AV industry currently operates, working in JAV without agency representation isn’t exactly a piece of cake, so unless she decides to work independently as her own content creator, it seems unlikely that we’ll be seeing many, or possibly any, new JAVs from her. Rather, Rino is open to direct collaborations.

Rino admitted to all this in a tweet she later deleted.

If independent producers have a project they’d like to work on with her, they can contact her directly through social media.

In other words, while she hasn’t necessarily announced a traditional “retirement,” it certainly looks like she’s graduating from the mainstream JAV, at least for now. I don’t think she left because she simply couldn’t handle filming. Remember, she said that she resigned from her agency in August?

If she had continued down the same path, there likely would have been releases lined up for months afterward, potentially taking her all the way to around February and giving her roughly a full year in the industry; if she had remained with S1 for that entire period, that’s actually a pretty impressive run.

Not every newcomer gets to spend a full year with a major studio like S1, but I'm glad Rino lived up to it.

Recently a number of US states and a few countries of note have enacted age verification requirements for adult sites. On the US front at least, legal experts both within and outside of our industry do not believe any will pass a constitutional test. However, since these laws currently are on the books and thus have the ability to be enforced, we are choosing to comply with them at this point in time.

ZENRA uses Bluecheck.me, a third party verification service, to perform this important task easy to install filtering software does infinitely better.

Information used in the verification process is not stored on our servers. Phone number and address verification is instant and uses database cross referencing (no calls, no SMS messages, nothing mailed to the address). ID verification takes about one minute and is performed 'blind' on Bluecheck's side where the ID is reviewed by someone unaware of what service the submitter is attempting to access.

Regardless of what method you choose, it costs you nothing, but does increase the cost of our operations in order to somehow make the internet a 'safer' place.
