I suppose that her body not being as nice is a contributing factor but I also don't think her body is bad. It might not be what it was before or compared to perhaps some names on the list, does that make that big of a difference? A lot of actresses on the list are particularly slim though and I did point out how much Japanese tend to dislike BBW. Maybe that's a reason Asahi might not have success, since I'm told she's put on a few pounds during retirement and have heard talk about some other actresses being asked to slim down.

Definitely agree on picks 8, 5, and 1. Meguri is really great in that video and it's my second favourite video of hers, also one of my top 25 of all-time; I cannot recommend that one enough. For Minami I found that video quite nice for the exact reason you described, that it was hot seeing someone so innocent be so naughty. I find Minami's appearance sells that exceptionally well since she looks so innocent. And then Minori's was great as well, I can't say that I'm a fan of Chika but the video speaks for itself.

I would say I disagree on the Anri choice (although not her as a pick) and would have instead gone for something like SOE-808 or JUFD-285.

Very surprised at some names that don't appear on the list. Chitose Saegusa, Asahi Mizuno, Touka Rinne, and Ai Uehara all come to mind. I think the most notable exception is Kurea Hasumi, who I think is probably the best dominant actress out there. That's especially true this year when she has had quite a number of very good dominant videos. I'm very curious to know if you aren't a fan or just decided the others are better.

Actresses seem to take vacations whenever they feel like it. Touka Rinne is taking one now, Meguri is taking some time off again, etc. I don't think you want to beholden actresses to coming back, let them make decisions on what they think is right for them. Data does show that returning to JAV after short hiatuses (even a month or two) does improve sales. I don't know that it's better than consistently releasing or not though.

With respect to Chitose I haven't seen anything that shows her comeback has been a success, at least from the sales. She hasn't made the DMM top 100 yet, not that she was making it when she retired. She hasn't seen any numbers on r18 reflect her comeback either, not that she was very popular on r18 either when she retired. I know she has sold well on DMM in the past but the domestic market seems to heavily favor new actresses, and her popularity definitely decreased as time went on.

So I heard. A shame, I think there's a high potential she ends up somewhere pretty awful. I can only hope that if she does go exclusive that she leaves shortly after.

I can't even tell if Touka is taking a break considering that she has three releases in November. I suppose that December might be the first month we see her taking a break manifest in no videos since it usually takes 3-4 months from filming to release. As far Aka can't really say. S1 actresses are very fickle, they kind of come and go and it's very common for them to leave S1 fairly early on. In fact, Sakura Kageyama already left S1 after debuting there earlier this year. Aka, along with Riri Nanatsumori, don't seem like the type to stay in the industry for years, but then again actresses like Miu Nakamura don't seem like they would stay as long as they have either.
