Almost two years to the day we showed ROCKET's first iteration of EXTREME BARREL CHALLENGE.  The question you're eager to know:  is the wait worth it?  Well, that will be answered shortly.  Before that, let's talk some about this odd duck of a JAV series that only got two titles before ROCKET decided enough was enough.  EXTREME BARREL CHALLENGE technically is not part of THE PRIVATE PARTS GUESSING GAME series, but since the theme is so similar and the setup (including the big airy studio that they no longer use, unfortunately) near identical, we're considering this a proper spin-off.

The biggest difference beyond the absence of glory hole panels is the massive barrel recreation.  Just like THE PERVERTED BOX GUESSING GAME, this is another great example of a JAV really going the extra mile.  You can tell ROCKET worked extra hard making a real game show vibe and they pulled it off!  Even the ladder used in one of the scenes had pseudo wood stripping to mimic the main set piece.  Good on them for giving it their all.

Like the first one, the biggest issue Japanese reviewers found with this series was the "geezer host".  I agree--almost wholeheartedly--that RIRI KOUDA or any other slightly mature and commanding woman would have done a better job.  The fact that they could hire five actresses and not an extra one (who would remain clothed thus not needing to be paid as much) is perplexing.  On one hand, the male host isn't bad.  I haven't seen him in other titles, but he did what he had to do OK.  Still, if I was a contestant on this incredibly taboo game show, I wouldn't want another guy looking down at my shaft commenting on its stiffness while I have raw sex with--alright, getting carried away here, but you get the idea.

The rivalry element was somewhat missing in the first edition of this series.  This time around we still get a relatively quiet title compared to the absolute insanity of THE PRIVATE PARTS GUESSING GAME, but I felt there was a wee bit more going on.  Perhaps it was because more outgoing actresses were cast?  One can wonder, but the end results are great.  This is a picture-perfect title that also has fantastic sound.  No big names were cast though that's almost standard fare for ROCKET and one of the reasons they can go all out.  Famous JAV stars cost more money whereas new faces can be corralled in bigger numbers for some really zany movies.  I sure as heck can't complain about that!

As noted above, ROCKET has not filmed any more titles in this series, but there are more GUESSING game show releases on the way.  Some from everyone's favorite series and even more spin-offs.

Pro's:  Crazy JAV game show done right.  Superb props and production quality.

Con's:  I'm near certain realistic dildos were used during the guessing insertion segments (but the penalty game sex is all real!).
