However, there are times when the production does something that piques your curiosity or makes you scratch your head. Today’s head scratching curiosity is by Director Kimura Hiroyuki.

Who is Director Kimura Hiroyuki?
A veteran director who has been around since 2009. He has been a Jukujo/Milf specialist since the very beginning, working with much older talent in mature labels. Which explains his natural progression to Madonna later on. In the 2020s, he got his break and began working with bigger studios like Attackers as they developed a cinematic style favored in Dramas.
Great lighting and high quality studio shooting with attention to blocking and framing. They’ve made some great smut in the past few years. Just look at some of their work in JUQ-864 or JUQ 912, beautiful. And yet something has changed recently for the long time adult maker.

The Change
In the past few years, Director Kimura has begun experimenting more and more. I first noticed it in JUQ-531, where they used an overhead shot as a gimmick for the film. A novel idea, even if it didn’t work out too well. Since then, they’ve only gone deeper in the bag and experimented more to…poor results. Here are some stills and clips from recent films from FSDSS 982 and JUR 292. Gone is the steady hand behind the camera and the clear and set angles, for more nonstandard ones. Off-center shots, cameras placed on the floor, just odd angles. Dutch angels as far as the eye can see.

Morning intercom ~The frustrated housewife next door suddenly comes...~ Meguri Minoshima
This change is seen best (or worst) in JUR-288. An experimental video where Meguri Minoshima plays a housewife who starts an affair with a neighbor. The door mirror plays a big part in the presentation, and there are some emulated shots using it and the fish eye lens. It’s a pretty decent drama if you can make it out, that is. The camera is angled in such awkward places that don’t capture the action, the lighting is far too dark at times, and then we have some of the oddest camera work I have seen in a long while.
Why the Change?
What happened to them? Is this a case of an old pro trying to shake things up and try something new? Are they chasing a trend as the style is very similar to fellow Director Samoari, who is quite popular now. I can appreciate taking a swing at things, but this is just hitting air. Madonna has been criticized for being too samey, so this could be a reaction to that. I hope this is a phase, though, because this Kimura is not working out.
