JAV Battle: Talking During Sex or Staying Quiet?

When it comes down to it, the main general appeal to JAV is the female actresses - specifically their bodies and the sex acts they perform. It's often why a lot of JAV doesn't have any form of talking during the sex, since the sexual delight is primarily a visual thing. That said, there are more subtle things that can help to boost a scene, things like facial expressions, body language, or tone. Since there isn't a lot of talking during sex scenes in JAV, that means there's tons of room for experimentation to see what works.

For example, take news anchor JAV - this is a very specific fetish that involves the actress pretending to be a news anchor and delivering news whilst being penetrated or played with. While a niche fetish, it's one example of how talking during sex scenes can be a great tool. Whether the actress is describing what's happening to her like it's a "latest news update", or she's just pretending nothing's happening and she's talking about normal generic news while getting fucked, there is a lot you can do with the idea and it's an incredibly thrilling concept. The talking is a big part of this fetish, and examples like these are a great way to push out JAV with speech during the sex moments.

Talking is another way of giving the actress more charm. Sure, a woman can be cute through her expression and actions, but speech is just a whole new dimension. Like I've said previously, dialogue is usually rather limited during sex scenes in a lot of JAV, but I feel like it can be a great way for the actress to express herself more. Cute giggles and laughs are sweet, but her talking about how she "thinks you look cute when I do this or that", or that "she thinks you deserve this or that", can help to make her more adorable, on top of giving her a more distinct personality.

Speech can also help add a little more realism to a scene. When having sex with a woman, you might ask if she's okay or if the position is right just so that she's not uncomfortable during the experience - doing the same in a JAV sex scene can help to make it more relatable to the watcher, and relatability is not only a strong element, but a common one that JAV often tries to produce.

It can also help to guide a scene, even when watchers are likely more preoccupied with the lewdness and nudity. If the JAV in question has story elements, talking during sex scenes could make things more interesting - sure, a movie could deliver exposition, OR it could deliver said exposition while the girl is titty-fucking a dude. Yeah, maybe watchers won't listen all that well, but it would help keep the JAV from taking itself too seriously, not to mention, I don't think I've seen many movies talk exposition during sex, so it'd earn points for originality, at least.

Of course, there are ways to fail at implementing dialogue in sex scenes. Acting skills and charisma are vital to good dialogue, and there is such a thing as just way too much talking. If an actress is talking excessively, sometimes it can just feel annoying. It comes down to mood for that sort of thing, but speech can be irritating if it's not arousing in any way.

Dirty talk in general is somewhat an art too. There are some ways in which an actress can produce ineffective or weak dirty talk that makes the watcher wonder "why even bother?" or just end up laughing instead of experiencing pleasure. Naturally, this comes down to preference, but I find that being overly vulgar or obscene makes for weak dirty talk. Good dirty talk paints a more vivid picture in the mind, and helps to convey the specific fantasy that is being presented. Dirty talk often revolves around "can you feel my tits wrapping around your dick", "give me your cum", etc., all generic things, which aren't necessarily bad, but can get repetitive really fast.

I touched on this slightly before, but if the talking during the scene doesn't have any real purpose, it can end up feeling rather pointless. For most JAV, the speech is either just the actress being cute, or it's dirty talk - there usually isn't any other purpose for the talking. Because of this, speech during sex scenes ends up turning generic, predictable, and repetitive - to some, that can be a bit of a downer. I mentioned before about news anchor type JAV - that's a perfect example of unique dialogue. You don't hear that sort of thing in a normal JAV, and the whole movie is essentially built around that talking. Unique and creative concepts like that help to make a JAV feel more exciting, and strays away from the more usual ways in which speech is used.
