Japan has had a long history with tattoos stretching back all the way to the Stone Age. Through the centuries, the practice has developed a more negative connotation with seedier elements. Today, that negative attitude lingers with many discriminating against tattoo wearers. Employers may not want to hire people with visible tattoos, and businesses like public baths or gyms may turn you away. While the stigma still lasts today, attitudes have been softening on tattoos. Recent polls have shown a trend, especially among the younger generation, of being more accepting of tattoos and the people who wear them.

Non Ohana

Starting us off is a big name in recent years with Non Ohana. The red-hot freelancer is hiding one big secret on her well-rounded figure. Viewers have noticed that she usually has quite a bit of cover up on her left thigh with a very clear skin tone difference in the area. With this photo uncovered of Non before JAV days and during her modeling days, we can see it. Quite a big tattoo to hide in all of her videos in the early days.

Kaho Imai

This beautiful Gal burst onto the scene in 2019 with her pretty looks, well-proportioned body, and terrifically tanned skin. A really beautiful Gal with a great body, but she didn’t stay for too long. Eagle-eyed viewers noticed a usual discoloration on the underside of her arm during her videos. Marin Hinata

Next, we have Marina Hinata of S1 and Premium. She retired after a solid 4-year career who was a cutie with a small face but a rather tall figure. A cutie face that hides a pair of tattoos on her wrists; a heart and a musical note, I believe. Seen on a livestream with her not caring to cover it up.

Ayame Nogi

Coming up is Ayame Nogi, formerly of Prestige in 2021. Since leaving, she’s been freelancing and doing good work under the radar. It hasn’t shown up much in her videos, however, in my quick look.

Konan Koyoi?

I can’t find any other instance of it, but there’s a bottom inner lip tattoo that you can clearly see in SSIS-500 on Konan Koyoi while she kisses the camera. It reads some numbers “895” with a heart symbol at the end. The big busty broad of S1 is hiding quite a wild tattoo; an unusual place for a tattoo and one that’s uncommon to see even in tattoo friendly countries like America. It’s been hard finding any other pictures of Konan’s lip tattoo, as the inner lip isn’t something you see often.

Nana Ogura

Now, this one, I am unsure of if she had them during her career. We are onto Nana Ogura of the 2010s, who was a star with MAX-A for a few years. Nana was much loved for her casual and loose attitude and her usually tanned figure. Some old fans of her noticed the same skin discoloration you see in tattoo cover up but it’s hard to say. Her tan also might have helped to cover it up, and she could’ve gotten them afterward. Nana has been retired for ages now and has quietly stayed in the public eye with her socials. Now we can see her with some big tats and looking more beefed up from the gym. Her tattoos are of a dog with hearts on her arm and a flowery design on her front thigh.

Nina Nishimura

More not quite hidden and not quite out in the open with Nina Nishimura. The heavy-set, curvy blonde has an open secret with her little tattoo. A lower back tattoo, also known as a tramp stamp of a blue humming bird of sorts. Now, some videos hide it and some don’t; I was surprised to learn about it, but fans of Nina knew about it. On her Only Fans, which she is quite active on, you can see it regularly as she flaunts it more freely.

Chisato Shoda

Next is Chisato Shoda, aka the Milf I always mistake for Yumi Kazama. She has a small tattoo on her outer bicep, some sort of red circular design, as we can see here, where she’s with two other well-known Milfs. It stays hidden in most of her videos, but in one old uncensored IR video, they didn’t even bother to cover it up.

Rena Fukiishi

Another open secret is Rena Fukiishi, with her two tattoos: a rose on her inner thigh and some sort of tribal knock-off designs. In her mainstream JAV or photoshoots, they are usually covered up. However, in her uncensored videos, they usually doesn’t care to cover them up, and she has quite a few of them. She’s recently returned to more mainstream porn with Madonna and now freelancing but don’t expect to see these tats. Milfs in JAV, after all, can’t possibly have tattoos.

Maria Ozawa

Finally, we have a star from the 2000’s Maria Ozawa and I wasn't sure if she belonged here or with the out and proud Tattoo gang. That's because many of the JAV works hid her tattoos however I think many fans recognize tattooed Maria the most. Maria had a four-leaf clover tattoo on her upper left arm, as well as a large tiger tattoo on her lower back. She is quite known for her tats however she rarely showed it in her mainstream JAV works and had to cover it up most of the time. However she was more free to show them in her uncensored works and modeling. In line with her atypical background as an English-speaking Canadian hafu who came up from the amateur scene first and did uncensored work, Maria was not like most typical JAV stars and one of a kind.

AIKA has a tattoo behind her ear, cursive writing that’s hard to make out but I believe it says Honey. AIKA having a tattoo is both a bit of a surprise and not really at all. Not a surprise at all to see that Sumire Mizukawa would show up on here with a tattoo. She’s never fit the traditional box of what a JAV actress or any normal person is like. What is a surprise is that I can’t confirm if she has a tattoo or not. You would expect the freewheeling and free spirited Sumire has tons of tats but the case is a muddled one. She was seen with a butterfly tattoo awhile back but that could’ve been a temporary mark.

Alice Nanase

Very on brand for having ink is the Hot Girl Alice Nanase. Alice has quite a few smaller tattoos littered throughout her fine figure. A pair of moon and hearts on her arms and some symbols on arm and behind her ear She also has some Chinese text behind her neck and colored tats in, I believe, Thai script. She’s been steadily adding more ink which you can see on her personal socials but rarely in her JAV works except for when they slip up.

From her videos I wouldn’t have expected Kaoru Yasui to be sporting ink at all. However, looking into her socials and you see Kaoru is not the usual chick. Off the clock Kaoru seems chill as hell. She has a flower tattoo on her arm and some faded tattoos on her body. Some faded numbers on her upper chest and some below her boobs. Most likely tattoos she’s getting rid of as I’d be surprised if they are fading away already.

Now for a name that revealed her tats only after they retired. Now I’m not sure when they got them but a few actresses uncovered their ink only after they were finished with porn. A cute little red cherry tattoo on her ankle but not as cute is a sort of cherub tattoo on her arm.

More Tattoos

Some more quick mentions of tattooed actresses. Iroha Isshiki and Sui Mizumori are some other small-time freelancers who were inked up. An older name, but An Kitajima can be seen with her back tattoo in an old Maguro release. Right around the time Ayaka Mochizuki disappeared from JAV, she also unveiled some new tats. A flower design on her arm and some cursive script on her clavicle. Mitsuki Nagisa showed off her guns and arm tattoo after retirement.
