FC’s Best JAV Titles of 2023: Top 10

We kick off the Top 10 with the glorious return of Karen Kaede. She’s had a notable 2023 with her first return as Lemon Tanaka then later coming home to Idea Pocket. I’ve wanted to include Karen in my Best Actress list for two years now but her name changes and hiatuses have made that hard. Even though Karen/Lemon has been jerking fans around with her changes, she still brings them in. Her supposed final compilation with Idea Pocket shot up on the monthly charts which she soon followed up with her Faleno debut which also brought in the eyeballs. Whatever she does fans still love her for her gorgeous model worthy looks and fine performing. 

Karen’s stint with Faleno as Lemon was not half bad at all. Faleno gets a bad reputation as an off-brand S1, which isn’t too wrong, but they can make some stellar smut. Karen comes back looking finer than ever in this blow job focused title. A great vanilla title with an emphasis on her kissing, tongue, and painting that pretty face in facials. And as a bonus this was directed by former actress Rena Aoi and if this is any indication of what Rena is possible of making then count me in for her future videos. Rena puts together a bright and colorful video that's easy going and light hearted; it’s one of the best Vanilla titles I’ve seen all year. It was hard picking out which Jun Kasui video to pick onto the list because she made so many great videos this year. The underrated actress with S1 has become one of the best performers in JAV; a decent actor on script but where she really shines is in bed. My only gripe would be the lighting which is a little too bright at times and washes out the image a bit. Beyond that this is a fantastic title by a star that is running under the radar.

I really hope the rumors about Yuu Shinoda retiring are untrue. At the time of writing it’s in the air but if this title shows anything it’s that Yuu still has a lot to give to JAV. Even after all of these years she still looks incredible and delivers in her performances. Our video is an adult Doujin adaptation of NTR Midnight Pool. A pretty good adult manga about a married woman explore the carnal delights of the nightlife. The video is also done by Kitorune Kawaguchi who specializes in adaptations as do the makers of the video Ure Komi the Madonna sublabel who make some of the best hentai/doujin adaptations in JAV. 

Our video tracks Yuu as she goes from reluctant housewife to sex loving slut in her everyday life. It starts with a beautifully lit scene in the iconic Pool at night which also features the fakest party in the background. A great title with nice costumes, settings, and a typically great performance from a future legend. Hopefully it’s not the last we will see of her. 

Next up we have eye candy galore with SOD’s Rei Kamiki. A simple title about Rei in hotel rooms having sex, it sports some of the best visuals of the year. A large part of that thanks to the gorgeous Rei Kamiki. The red hot rising star is one of, if not the, prettiest actresses in JAV today. A gorgeous face with the body to match and her performing has gotten even better since her early days. A video like this that tries to convey her visuals first and foremost makes it a great fit. Rei’s model good looks and body make for a delight for the eyes.

Aside from all the pretty in-between inserts and montages the video is just filled with pleasing sights. Be it from the red lingerie scene where Rei gets tied up and blindfolded and behind her is the city backdrop all lit up in lights with her shimmering oiled body. Her red lingerie darkening in color from the wetness of the oil. Or in the final scene where she gets pressed up against the balcony glass and fucked. Her marks and juices staining and marking the glass for the rest of the scene. The video is just filled with great visuals and great sex to boot. This stunning angel is all into her porn career and her scenes are showing it. Watch this for some of the best visuals and eye candy in the year.

This one came out of nowhere and blew me away. A fantastic title starring two relative unknown freelancers with Nozomi Arimura and Hitomi Honda. These two ladies give a heck of a performance in this nearly hardcore title. A simple duo title that includes some power play fun with the girls playing scenes both as the sub and the dom. Leotards a plenty, we also get lesbian with strap-ons, and some rougher sex that reminded me of porn from abroad. So many foreign fans complain about JAV wishing it were more like western porn so here you go a western style JAV. And it rocks.

This video is a lot more like something you’d see on Pornhub with rougher sex with guys slapping ass and pulling hair even Nozomi does some of her own spanking and pulling too. Yes the girls also get it on with each other and there’s even a full lesbian scene with strap-on sex. Even from the makeup and styling with the hoop rings and hairstyles remind me of western porn. All of which make for one of the best videos of the year. All the three scenes are top notch. Finally the last scene is a lot rougher for the ladies with Nozomi and Hitomi giving great performances while giving the greenlight for a lot a rough fun for the guys. Speaking of coming in out of nowhere. I checked out this video on a total whim and it was amazing. Maki Hojo plays a hotel attendant whose bored at her job and decides to have some fun with her latest guest. A super typical Madonna plot but one that’s played with fantastically by the long time legend. Still even after all these years Maki is putting on a great show. Now with Nao Masaki helming the best Duo title of the year with two great freelancers in Yui Tenma and Ena Satsuki. These three come together for a great JAV stew. Nao is great at getting slutty and candid performances from her talents, something that won’t be much of a problem with the hyper Ena and Yui. The girls are cuties with great asses who are both down for a lot of things. The video is your standard Nampa affair with the two girls going out on the city to find some ass to play with. We finally close out our Top 10 and entire top videos lists with Premium and their best star Aika Yamagishi. She nets my top spot largely due to her amazing performing. Alongside the likes of Miru and Minami; Aika is one of the best performers in JAV today. Few match her passionate performing and acting. The video is a well-made and shot drama by Premium and by director Sapporo Taro who makes great slut content.
