Best of JAV 2025: Milking Rookies, Busty Starlets, Top Milfs, and more

Popularity isn’t everything, as our next pair shows. Getting dropped by their studio can be a fatal blow for many new debuts, but for Kaho Hanamori, that was just her beginning. After Idea Pocket dropped her, Kaho quickly came back with a fury, dropping videos all over, looking like a red-hot freelancer. This toothy Yaeba cutie is spunky, packs a surprisingly big butt, and I believe her 2026 should be even better. Faleno has quietly been crushing it with their newbies, and Yayoi Hamabe has been the most impressive of the bunch. Adorable, healthy figure, and performs fantastically for a rookie. Faleno is rising, and Yayoi is part of that rising tide.

SOD dropped their big guns in the latter half of the year, but they were worth the wait. First was Sora Arakawa, and one look at her tells you all you need to know about her appeal. She pulled a strong face card and has the type of looks that JAV fans love. Then there’s Nano Ogasawara with her sweet, busty chest and slim figure. Hard to beat the combo of busty and a narrow waist. SOD continues to build on its strong roster.

Yu Tano only got a shoutout from me last year in the Best Debut category, but I see the light now. Yes, she is packing a truly hefty set of huge and droopy tits, but she’s also cute as a button and has the personality for this job. She won over a lot of fans at the big fan event, TRE with her charm and charisma. Away from the S1 lovefest is Miyu Aizawa, who was dropped by them late last year. She returned the favor to make 2025 hers, working like a maniac to drop nearly 100 films in the year. She’s said she wants to be number 1 in JAV, and I see it in her work ethic, and I see it in her body. A fantastic figure that she’s toned up in the gym. Miyu is only be getting started and only in her second year.

Only a few girls can say they have worked more than Miyu, and that includes Konatsu Kashiwagi. When I first saw her, I thought she was cute but didn’t make a strong impression. How things have changed in just a few short years? She has been on a tear of releases in the past few years with tons of content out. And she didn’t have this at the start, but her ass has gotten bigger, firmer, and so much more fun. Proof that you can’t count out people just from first impressions. Special mentions go to Niko Kawagoe, another S1 girl with serious performing chops and a limber body. There’s also Emika Shirakami, who has won over a lot of fans with her pure and innocent looks.

This year, Tameike Goro elevated its game. Their videos, especially their Dramas, took a jump up in quality. Their lighting looked like something out of Madonna and S1’s playbook. However, it was their roster that was the standout. Ladies like Futaba Otani, Ururu Jun, and Kanae Yumemi are hidden gems, and then we have their usual rotation that includes Ai Sayama and Julia. For variety, however, it’s hard to beat Moodyz and harder to deny the good year they’ve had. They loaded up on freelancers, nailing some big names into contracts like Waka Misono, Hinako Mori, and Ichika Matsumoto. They also double down on collabs and big Group Sex projects. With all the talents they’ve consolidated plus their love of collabs, I would be interested to see what they do in 2026.

Uni Shiokawa came back reloaded as Futaba Otani with new guns in the form of bolt-on tiddies. Big and round tits fit for a pornstar. While her new hardware is nice, Futaba is just as good as Uni. A slutty actress who goes hard in the bedroom. Since coming back with Tameike Goro, her titles aren’t as hardcore as before, but they are still filled with quality performances. The freelance rookie nabbed an exclusive contract with them this year, and for good reason. Ururu is a fantastic performer out of the gate, while looking and acting unlike most rookies. While Uni likes to show her more sensual and slower side, Ururu is louder, wilder, and looser.

If Koharu Miike left after her first couple of debut videos, I wouldn’t have been surprised. So, I am pleasantly surprised to see that she’s not only stuck around but has come into her own in 2025. This plain-looking Milf has been going on strong this year while taking part in her first Lesbian and real Creampie videos. However, it’s her submissive side with her love of Deepthroating that has been Koharu’s preference. Koharu’s plainness isn’t really her strength, as she surprises you with what she likes.

Ai Sayama has called it a career after 17 long years in porn. I remember the days when Ai wasn’t considered a Milf at all. Her mature transition has been great to see and seemed to fit her more and more as time passed. No more paizuri’s with her hefty tits or hearing her seductive voice whisper sweet nothings. She might’ve bowed out, but not before giving us one more good year. Kanna Fuji can only hope to have a career as long as Ai, but she’s already rounded into form. You won’t go wrong with picking a Kanna Fuji film from this year.

I challenged myself this year to watch for Mature talent outside of Madonna, and I was pleasantly rewarded with Asami Mizuhata. A fine and slender mature lady who first started with Madonna but has since become a freelancer. A ham and egger type who works with middle-tier studios, but you shouldn’t pass over Asami. A quiet beauty with a terrifically toned and muscular ass. Also outside the Madonna empire is Yui Hatano. Yui has not only slid into Milf-dom naturally, but she also does so with a body that is thicker than a $5 milkshake. My favorite Milf of 2024 continues to make great videos even in Year 17. I don’t know when Yui’s career will lose steam, but I’m not betting against her.

Some comebacks don’t go the way fans hope for. Their looks and bodies might change, or the fire just isn’t there anymore. For Meguri, her return has been a return to form. She’s an exclusive now, but that hasn’t stopped her from giving her classic Meguri performances. I can talk about her looks and body, which have held up, but it’s her acting and enthusiasm that still amazes. Special mentions go to Ayano Kato, who has found new energy in her long career with her recent stint at Madonna.
