What JAV Can Learn From Hentai

The most obvious way in which hentai differs from JAV is by way of the story. Most JAV in general don't have a story of any sort, instead focusing more on individual scenes with the female actresses - but there are some movies out there that try to have some sort of plot. JAV about cheating wives are a common example, but here's another major downside of story in JAV: the fact that they're usually highly predictable and overdone. A thief sneaks into a building and she gets caught, or a futanari student tries to hide her penis from her classmates - it goes exactly where you think it goes, and while I value the fact that such a movie has a story at all, I think these can usually be improved.

JAV plots/stories are usually off the wall bizarre or over-the-top, and this helps make them not only stand out more but also gives the creator more material to work with in terms of delivering erotic service to the watcher. One of the strangest hentai stories in recent memory involved a patient at a hospital who had a rare condition that required him to ejaculate frequently or suffer, however, both his hands were broken so all the nurses had to commit to pleasuring him. The hentai also simultaneously catered to the fetish that is "women looking down on you" with scowls and foul expressions. Some strange ideas were even implemented into the sex scenes, such as attaching a fleshlight to a drill.

With weird stories come weird environments, and a lot of hentai have settings and visuals that are just as weird as their stories! While a fantasy world is the most common setting in hentai that you don't see often in JAV, it's one that JAV could possibly most easily adapt. Fantasy worlds full of fantasy creatures, different races of women, magic, sorcery, treasure, dragons - this is all great material for implementation in a JAV! There are JAV that have been set in fantasy worlds before, but they aren't seen very frequently.

Other strange stories I've seen in hentai that also help set up some good sex scenes or scenarios include a random guy getting a special card that allows him to request sex from any student he desires, a club of students who are developing an eroge that then have sex with the only male member to help them get ideas, and one where all sorts of different women get brought to a goblin cave. A lot of hentai I've seen also tend to deliver more than just sex as well, as story-heavy works sometimes have several meaningful dialogue scenes or maybe even fight scenes, giving them worth beyond just sexual gratification: take Kite or Taimanin Asagi for instance.

Of course, it has to be said, that while hentai has a much easier time of delivering wildly bizarre ideas, JAV is not as capable of this due to budget constraints. It's one thing to easily implement a fantasy world into any hentai, but for JAV, creating a believable set and costumes costs a good amount, and sometimes JAV can't really deliver on that front, or at least not on a level that is satisfactory. Even still - I think it's completely worth it. If you could take the utterly bizarre situations of hentai and effectively employed them into JAV, I think JAV would gain significantly more popularity.

I touched on this briefly when talking about the hentai with the protagonist who needed to ejaculate regularly, but while hentai have great stories, they also execute some pretty intense fetishes or ideas that you won't see anywhere in JAV. Leaning on the fantasy world aesthetic again, you can see things like naga girls with snake tails. Imagine the naga girl coiling around the guy during sex, or a slime girl with a semi-transparent body and you can see the guy's dick when it's inside her - ideas like this are wholly unique and I'd love to see similar in JAV. I guess something like that would be very hard to pull off in reality, but imagine if you could! There's no way anyone would forget a JAV that had something like that.

In general, just fantasy world women as a whole are really unique and cute, and arguably pretty simple to implement in JAV. Elf girls, cat girls, cow girls, even unique ideas like satyr women who are all hair from the waist down - these are indescribably cute and would be awesome to see more often in JAV.

A lot of hentai make clever use of their story and setting to implement fetishes. Take for example "Majo wa Kekkyoku Sono Kyaku to", a hentai where the main heroine is a witch. In the hentai, there is a scene where the male character plays with the witch while they're both riding her broom in the sky. This is a perfectly lewd scenario and it's an incredible visual, not to mention something JAV could learn from.

Following in the same vein, while most hentai focus on making erotic sex scenes, some creators want to see just how much they can weird out their audience with the power of animation and the human mind. While I'm not particularly a fan of the idea, you never know when someone might discover a new fetish for themselves. Take for instance one hentai I've seen where the male protagonist can fly by helicoptering his dick around - it's definitely unforgettable, even if it doesn't exactly serve any sort of purpose.

Talking about weird ideas, how about one that's actually decently erotic? I remember one scene from a hentai where a woman approaches this building where a bunch of guys are hanging around outside. She strips naked and starts masturbating - so what do the guys do? They start masturbating as well, of course. Then they all cum at the same time and it all manages to land perfectly on the woman. The idea is completely ridiculous and seemingly impossible on a physical level, yet it's an erotic idea all the same, and JAV loves weird ideas. An idea like this would be pretty easy to replicate too with a jump cut.

Classic staples you see in hentai are also great material for JAV - take for example the classic "clothes explosion", where an anime girl's clothes just explode off her body. It's not realistic in the slightest, and the pure comedic factor plays a big role in the idea being entertaining. Clothes in hentai tear off easily in general, and that alone is also a great idea to implement into JAV. Imagine a scene where the guy just rips the actress' clothes off effortlessly - it'd be both sexy and hilarious!

Even the way scenes are handled in hentai can seem like an art form. Take any scene done by Teruaki Murakami - this individual is known for depicting fast-paced orgies where multiple men take on one or a few women at once. Every other second it's a different position or camera angle, and there's semen flying out everywhere. For those not familiar, Murakami has done works such as the 2007 Taimanin Asagi hentai, Kangoku Senkan, and Mashou no Nie 3, to name a few. I highly favor the way Murakami does such scenes (even if the animation and art quality isn't exactly the greatest), and if the coordination of such scenes could be implemented in JAV, I feel like the medium could easily attract tons of newcomers.

Hentai's imaginative nature can also help to make certain fetishes less gross and more appealing, which could be a great way to ease a newcomer into a specific genre or niche. While this in turn might simply make a watcher only like the fetish from a hentai standpoint, it at least still allows them to open up and experience more things, which I feel is never a bad thing. Conversely, I've seen hentai actually have the opposite effect, making things that are palatable appear gross - that's simply the nature of animation, after all.
