Sarina Momonaga Steps Into Director's Shoes After 9 Years In JAV

Catch up on the most trending gossip that we had our eyes on in October

Sarina Momonaga is the latest JAV pornstar to surprise her fans and to what extent!

The blonde-haired baddie recently took to X to reveal a major deal. After nine years as a JAV actress, she’s decided to make the switch and take on a new challenge: Sarina wants to become a JAV director!

And no, before her fans start worrying, this is not a retirement announcement.

In her tweet, Sarina explained that she has spent almost her entire career shooting JAV porn from the performer’s side. But now, she wants to see what happens when she steps behind the camera and starts creating her own adult content.

By the way, she isn’t simply announcing that she has already become a director. Sarina decided to move a step forward to give a sneak peek to her fans with her documentary series on YouTube titled Sarina Momonaga: The Road to Becoming an AV Director.

I think that’s a pretty interesting idea.

She is armed with nine years in front of the camera, learning how JAV productions work, meeting different directors, and experiencing the industry as a JAV pornstar herself; that’s a culmination of experience one can’t simply get. But does everything simply become easier because you already know the industry? Not necessarily!

Sarina herself admitted that she still has plenty to learn and feels anxious about whether she can actually succeed. But she also believes that her nine years of experience have given her a perspective that could help her create works only she can make.

Whether she succeeds in her new role is for some other day. I’m eager to watch what sort of JAVs she will eventually make. Even Sarina doesn’t know the answers yet. That’s why she’s asking fans to stick around and watch the whole process unfold.

And as is with social media, this announcement quickly attracted attention on X.

One fan wondered whether Sarina would continue balancing acting and directing, or whether she might eventually retire from performing altogether.

Another expressed full support for her new challenge, saying they respected her willingness to try something different and wanted to support her not only as an actress, but also as a director.

Trying something new after nine years in the same profession takes courage, especially when you’re stepping into a role where you can no longer rely only on your experience as a performer.

But now I’m curious about something else. Could she develop a signature style and create works that stand out even among the established names in the industry?

Some fans might even wonder whether she could one day reach the level of a legendary director like Masaki. That’s a very high bar, of course! But we won’t know until we see what she produces going forward. For now, I think the best thing is to watch her journey and give her a chance.
