It's no secret that 2020 was a very challenging year all around. While the threat of Covid-19 has derailed many industries the JAV train kept rolling on. The virus may have kept us from enjoying many of our regular activities but you can always just safely stay at home and watch some of your favorites. The production of JAV may have taken a slight hit but we were still treated to some incredible videos. I'm here today to break down my personal top 20 favorites from 2020. Tomoko Kamisaka was a new actress I just discovered this year and after checking out this film, she's definitely on my radar now. PPPD-886 casts Tomoka as a busty waitress at a cafe. She enjoys going to work braless and as a result, her male coworker cannot help himself. Soon enough he starts to fondle her big tits before eventually going all the way and fucking her. As the film progresses she begins to enjoy it more and more until the final scene where she fully gives in. It's not a wholly original plot as this has been done many times before but it's executed fairly well. Part of the film's success is the production quality, especially the wardrobe. Each outfit emphasizes her bust very well and she'll often leave it on during the sex which is a nice touch.

Camerawork is on point as well capturing some really nice shots of her body doing a brilliant job at framing it as a whole. Now regarding the action as a whole, it's pretty great. There are several full sex scenes that are all great bolstered by strong position variety and terrific lighting. In addition to that, there are 2 paizuri scenes that are decent but nothing particularly memorable. Lastly, we have her performance which is, unfortunately, the weakest aspect. She's not that great here as she's quite submissive with lackluster facial expressions and energy. Even when she's a bit more proactive she's not entirely convincing. All that said I was still impressed by this film and she's definitely on my radar now thanks to this excellent film.

Starring "Yua Mikami"

Every once in awhile S1 knocks it out of the park with an original premise. Often times they can be rather lazy putting in absolutely zero effort. But credit to S1 as this is a refreshing film with a fun concept. Yua takes on the role of a manager for the school's soccer team. However, she's very lewd and devilish as she engages in various sex acts with her team throughout the course of the film. Also, there's a subplot of sorts with some creepy virgin who always watches her. It's a unique plot to say the least that is handled pretty well and gives Yua something new to try. She's never taken on a role such as this and she does a commendable job. Yua takes the lead in nearly every scene with solid enthusiasm. She makes a good fit for the role overall.

The sex as a whole is fantastic with three sex scenes and two blowjob/outercourse scenes. Now my only complaint is that the outercourse scene is entirely forgettable. However, the blowjob  scene is terrific featuring her relieving a group of guys and taking all their cum on her chest. And the full sex scenes are all equally amazing. Each scene sets the mood brilliantly and is paced extremely well. Each sex scene feels distinct and memorable. All of this is backed by some outstanding production values. Everything from the camerawork to the lighting and just the overall tone of the film is spot-on. Just goes to show that when S1 puts in the effort, they can knock it out of the park. By far one of her best films of the year.

18. JUNY-021

Starring "June Lovejoy"

June Lovejoy has definitely become one of my new favorites from 2020. Her performances could use some work but that booty of hers is ridiculous and she's a very unique face for JAV. This film features a fun and varied setup putting June into a wide range of situations such as a waitress, masseuse, and a hopeful new worker at a job interview. Each one centers around her showing off her massive ass, as you could probably guess. This results in some very entertaining scenes. With each scene encompassing a different occupation, it keeps the film from getting stale. However, I will say that the pacing is a bit off. The last scene takes up 50 minutes of the 136 min runtime leaving a few scenes feeling underdeveloped.

The rest of the production values are a slightly mixed bag. The camerawork for example is solid with some angles of the action but they do rely on the fish-eyed lens quite a bit. Lighting is hit-or-miss too as some scenes are lit well and others are way too damn bright and oversaturated. On a positive note though her wardrobe is superb and she looks fantastic. I can't really say much about her acting. It's mostly just an average performance. Facial expressions could really use some work. And lastly, the action as a whole is good with some excellent sex scenes that showcase her phat ass quite well. However, the solo masturbation scene is really underwhelming. Despite a few flaws, JUNY-021 is still one of her better films and a favorite of mine of 2020.

17. HND-883

Starring "Akari Mitani"

Akari really had a strong year in 2020. Shooting multiple films with the great Kurea Hasumi and becoming exclusive to Das! and Honnaka, both of which are very fine studios. This particular film almost went under the radar for if not for someone recommending it. It turned out to be one of her best films yet. HND-883 features a very simple premise centered around her having sex and quickly getting off and giving him a blowjob, hence the title. There's no plot or scenarios for the scenes beyond that but it's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. Letting Akari just go to work and have her way with the actors is breathtaking on its own. Which leads me to her performance. Her acting talent is on full display here as her raw enthusiasm is off the charts.

She's incredibly engaging with fantastic expressions. There's never a dull moment here. She gives Kurea Hasumi a run for her money at times. Beyond that, the sex of course is the main attraction and for the most part, it's amazing. My only gripe is the middle sex scene that uses static cameras. I personally HATE it and it ruins the scene for me. The other sex scenes fare extremely well with some high intensity, outstanding position variety, and lots of creampies. As a whole, it's a well-produced film with adequate lighting, pacing, and set design. Nothing that will blow away but doesn't get in the way of your enjoyment. If you haven't given Akari Mitani a chance yet, this is the film to watch. Simple, action-packed, and brilliantly performed.

16. DASD-685

Now if you fancy something with an actual plot then is the video for you. Akari Mitani plays a slutty schoolgirl in various situations all revolving around seduction and allowing Akari to flex her acting skills. The scenarios for the scenes are varied enough to keep the concept fresh. Such as a POV scene of you as a teacher while she seduces you. Or when she steals a guy away from his girlfriend in the locker room and fucks him right then and there. This is a role that fits Akari perfectly and it's executed brilliantly. She takes plot here and just runs with it delivering an incredibly enthusiastic and dominant performance. She takes the lead in a believable fashion and making for an entertaining film from start to finish.

Production values across the board are nothing short of perfection. The lighting feels natural and subdued which fits the video wonderfully. The camerawork is on point too and the set design is remarkable as each scene features an entirely different room and setup. This certainly helps with the pacing as each scene moves along at a well-executed pace never leaving you feeling bored. And lastly, the sex is fantastic with 3 full sex scenes and a nice outercourse scene in the library. It's super intense and the variety of the scene scenarios keeps the action fresh. However, one flaw is that there's only one position really used which is cowgirl. It makes some sense given the plot but still gets a tad repetitive. But it's not enough to ruin this otherwise fantastic film.

15. IPX-474

Starring "Minori Hatsune"

Minori's return to JAV had me skeptical at first. Especially with her first few releases being quite bland and dull. But this one blew away my expectations completely. The plot follows Minori as your boss who catches you looking up her skirt. So of course she decides to have some fun with you and fucks you silly. The rest of the film features Minori seducing and having sex with you all over the office. Also, the whole thing is shot in POV with Minori constantly whispering dirty talk into your ear. It's a fantastic setup that throws Minori into a new role that she's never really had before and the results are stupendous. One reason for this film's success is her excellent performance. She’s quite lively all around with terrific facial expressions and energy.

She’s super engaging too which is always important when it comes to POV. And lastly she does a fine job at playing her role and making it believable. She never comes across as fake or trying too hard. The action here is just as good with 3 full sex scenes alongside a paizuri scene. The sex scenes are terrific with some nice position variety and creampies(albeit fake but still). Plus the addition of POV greatly enhances the experience and makes them much more engaging especially since there's an element of risk involved in a few scenes. Couple all this with some very well rounded technical aspects and you've got one of the best POV videos you'll see all year. This is exactly what I wanted from Minori's return and she delivered.

14. WANZ-929

Maria Nagai had a pretty great year in 2020. She had plenty of solid releases and deciding on a favorite was a bit tough. But I ultimately chose WANZ-929 for a variety of reasons which I'll get into later. Maria Nagai plays a flirty and lewd boss who is on a business trip with one of her employees. She can't help herself and proceeds to come onto him before fucking his brains out. I believe he's in a relationship too which is where the NTR aspect comes into play. It's a popular premise that seemed to be the big fad of 2020 and while it's not wholly original it's still very effective. Bolstering the plot is Maria's remarkable performance. She’s full of lust here as she fucks with incredible enthusiasm and energy to the point where she’s glistening with sweat.

She takes the lead in every scene in a convincing fashion. Definitely one of her better performances. When it comes to the action this film is no slouch with 3 full sex scenes and an outercourse scene. My only real gripes with the action as a whole are that the outercourse scene is quite underwhelming. Also, there’s a setup for a great potential thigh-fucking scene that goes to waste. Beyond that the action is fantastic. There’s plenty of creampies, squirting, some amazing face sitting, and great positions. Production quality is superb as well with a stunning wardrobe for Maria with sexy lingerie and stockings. Not to mention some fantastic camerawork and lighting. You just can't go wrong with this superbly executed film.

13. CJOD-267

"Slutty Prison Life"

What could be better than Kurea playing a slutty and dominant prison warden? It's a setup that just writes itself and thankfully it lives up to the hype. The plot centers around Kurea playing a very controlling prison warden. She makes her way around and "punishes" her inmates by engaging in various sex acts with them such as handjobs, blowjobs, full-on sex, and some pegging. Kurea's dominant on-screen persona was made for this type of premise and the result is an intense and wild ride that will leave you breathless. You'll definitely be gasping for air from Kurea's performance. This is without a doubt one of the best femdom performances I've ever seen. Her energy and enthusiasm are off the charts and her facial expressions are equally as good.

She makes even the mundane handjob scene a blast to watch. Hell at one point she's pegging a guy from behind while shoving his face underwater. The action is no slouch either with some great sex scenes, solid handjob/outercourse scenes, and of course a pegging scene. Every scene is widely intense. There's even some male squirting due to Kurea feverishly jerking the guys off long after they've cum. Position variety could've been a bit better as it's mostly cowgirl but at least that's her best position. And she looks damn good while doing so as her wardrobe is stunning. One look at the cover will tell you that. This is dominant Kurea at her best as this film gives her a genius plot to show off her skill in spectacular fashion.

I absolutely love the timestop genre so to see Hitomi in a film based around it made me excited. The premise revolves around a student who is infatuated with his teacher, Hitomi. He then meets with a doctor(?) and with the help of a special device are able to freeze time and proceed to toy with Hitomi. Starting out with just a tittyfuck before moving onto full-on sex. The film goes for a more "goofier" take on the timestop genre and really capitalizes on the fantasy of it. One example is a scene where they make her squirt over and over and hang some humiliating signs on her. It really leans into the timestop theme well and indulges in all the perverted aspects. The sex here is really solid. There are several full sex scenes all ending in creampies.

Plus there's a paizuri scene and a group blowjob/handjob scene. The pacing is excellent here and the camerawork too deserves a lot of praise for capturing some real nice shots of Hitomi's body and her facial expressions. This leads me to her acting and I must say she delivers one of the best timestop performances ever. She manages to remain 100% still in every scene no matter what is happening to her. Whether she’s getting fondled, kissed, fucked, or even squirts. No blinking or flinching at all. You really get drawn into the plot much more as a result. Lastly, I should mention her stunning wardrobe as she sports some sexy lingerie and even a swimsuit. All this makes for one of the best timestop films ever.

11. MIAA-320

Starring "Kurea Hasumi and Mao Kurata"

Kurea and Mao made for one of the best and most thrilling duos in JAV in 2020 and this film is a perfect showcase of that. It casts the pair of Kurea Hasumi and Mao Kurata with working at a massage parlor and giving their clients a very hands-on massage. However, it doesn't take long for it to advance past just a simple massage to something far wilder including some handjobs, outercourse, and even full-on threesome action. Pretty simple with no big surprises but its execution is flawless. For starters the action here is incredible. It contains 2 full sex scenes and 3 "outercourse" type scenes. The threesomes feature a stunning variety of sex positions making for an exciting watch. There's lots of facesitting too which is definitely a huge plus in my book.

There's never really a dull moment at all and you'll be entertained from start to finish. Across the board the production values are remarkable. The settings are fitting and the lighting is terrific. However, my personal favorite aspect has to be the wardrobe. Every single outfit is stunning and suits them both perfectly as it showcases their amazing booty. Last but not least is their brilliant acting. They each boast incredible enthusiasm and engage with the actor and each other pretty well. MIAA-320 may feature a simple plot but it's one of the best massages films in recent memory thanks to some thrilling threesome action, superb acting, and stunning eye candy for any ass lover.
