JAV Fetish Review: Armpits Part 2

Likely the most obvious aspect of armpits that people find unattractive is the fact that there's a stigma that the area is "unclean", "gross", and "unhygienic", as it's an area that produces significant sweat. That might be true, but it's not like the area can't be cleaned or maintained. Despite this, the anal region is also considered gross for practically the same reasons, yet there are many people fixated on anal. So many might dislike the armpits by default just like how they might also dislike the anus in the same way - which I believe is a bit unfair.

That being said, most JAV pay particularly close attention to keeping actresses clean and presentable - after all, visual appeal is one of the most important parts to sexual attraction (though, some JAV specifically specialize in fetishizing ugliness, but that's a whole different discussion). The creators are naturally going to focus on making the females as clean and neat as possible, otherwise watchers will be turned off. That being said, much like the anus, some people just can't get past the fact that the armpit is just naturally a "dirty" place, and it's a frequent reason why many are turned off by it.

This usually isn't a problem with JAV since most women shave their underarms, but I think the fact that people associate underarms with armpit hair is also part of what makes the area gross to them. Many people find women that have hairy armpits to be gross and unsightly, which is comical considering many people have no issues with vaginal hair. Hell, tons of people are obsessed with hairy vaginas - take hentai for instance, we see heart-shaped pubic hair all the time, and I'm sure there's tons of JAV out there where the central fetish is hairy pussies. And yet after all that, women with hairy armpits are where people draw the line.

I guess it is understandable though, I naturally don't like women with hairy underarms either. Likely this is due to the fact that underarms are associated with sweat and filth, so the unkempt, messy hair only adds to that grossness. I mean, you can imagine sweaty and filthy hair - having that on the armpit is just grotesque.

Another obvious reason might be the fact that many associate hairy underarms with men, since most men don't shave their underarms. Seeing something that reminds you of men isn't exactly the most attractive thing in the world, disregarding the existence of luscious tomboys.

Like I've said before, some people just don't understand why armpits are appealing. Honestly, it makes sense, because even I don't particularly comprehend their appeal or why I find them alluring, it's like having a fetish for elbows or knees - it just doesn't make sense on a biological level. In that same train of thought though, there are people who like feet and navels, which are both questionable on a biological level, yet those are accepted as a common form of fetish.

So I think what it really just comes down to is preference. Different people are just going to like different things, even if they can't quite explain them. As a result, there's going to be people confused about their fetish who just won't understand and probably also won't like it. I suppose that's just an inevitability. That being said, much like with feet, there might be some detractors who'll find you strange for being enamored with underarms - so I guess that could also be a negative, in that people will rather unfairly think you're "weird" for liking such a strange body part.

There's also the fact that the armpit doesn't really have any sort of "wow" factor. An armpit is just the crease between the upper body and the arm - there's really nothing to it. Breasts on the other hand, they can vary in size and shape, they can have vastly different nipples from woman to woman, and biologically men are meant to be attracted to them. Same with vaginas - they are distinctly different, meanwhile armpits are mostly the same on every woman. An armpit can only do so much in a scene because of this, so they have to rely more on either the actress' actions herself, or on other fetishes. This is one of the main reasons that armpits are usually never the focus of a scene, and instead are most effective when they compliment something else.

So after reviewing all these good and bad things about armpits (when it comes to sex scenes in JAV), I've come to the decision that I think armpits are worth exploring and are sexy as a fetish. Admittedly, I am biased since I do already understand their sexual charms, but I do think other watchers would be better off if they understood it too! I know I can't quite explain it myself, but the sight of a woman raising both her arms and (perhaps unintentionally) showing off her smooth underarms is an incredible sight.

Tons of people are of the notion that armpits are gross - they sweat heavily and can be nasty and grotesque, just like the anus. But it's not like they're always in a disgusting state, and it's not like they're not properly cleaned ever - JAV are usually pretty strict about cleanliness. When you see armpits on-screen in JAV, it is smooth, it is clean, and it is in a proper state. Still, some can't shake the idea from their minds, and honestly that's okay. Armpits are a bit of a niche fetish, and I can understand that not everyone will be able to comprehend their beauty.
