In some ways, ZENRA remains a rarity among most any adult site on the web. We avoid silly "porn movie" descriptions to deliver solid reviews that go well above the norm. This goes especially hard for a movie like this, one which even by ROCKET standards is unlike any other. There remains a strong chance that not everyone reading this--let alone the masses who may skip our lovely reviews and go right for the goods--may not be totally sure what is exactly going on here. Allow me to explain: The Three Stooges but...with two! Explained super simply, that's Manzai in a nutshell: a comedic duo consisting of a "straight man" and a "funny man" with the former existing sort of like Jerry Seinfeld in his famous show: the one person whom the audience can relate to, the person who is part of our world, not the insane world the "funny man" represents. That's why Manzai (and some say Seinfeld) work so well.
The following I have noted in other movies and holy cow does it hold hard here--maybe even harder than ever: unless you're very fluent in Japanese including knowing cultural mannerisms down solid, TWO MANZAI COMEDIANS FROM OSAKA MAKE THEIR JAV DEBUT is one of those movies you absolutely 100% no ifs no buts need actual human-made subtitles for. Hands down, no excuses. This is not a few minute routine at the beginning followed by two hours of sex, but multiple routines, sometimes clothed, sometimes stark naked with random bouts of especially wild coitus throughout. Really, ROCKET delivered here; neither the comedy routines NOR the sex feels shoehorned. Per screen-time, the balance obviously is given more to the latter, but there is some real comedic gold present. If you understand what Hot Apple, the name of our duo, is saying (and you will if you're watching it here!), there is a high probability you will be laughing and doing so HARD.
One begins to wonder which career path makes most sense for Hot Apple: attempting to hang in there with the big leagues in Japan's extremely cutthroat mainstream entertainment industry or bridge the gap sort of like chika idols have done with one foot in...not exactly mainstream...OK, so chika idols generally don't have far-reaching options so perhaps Hot Apple doing what they do best: being JAV stars that make one laugh (and later, perhaps ejaculate) may indeed be the best path. This is a movie that delivers in many counts and if there ever was one that really could--nay, SHOULD--cross the cultural barrier to show you can shoot an adult movie that is more than simple themes, look no further!
