At first glance, one may mistakenly assume the FIRST TIME LESBIANS/FEMALE EMPLOYEE WITH BICURIOUS AMATEUR series (in the plural!) by GOGOS are about 'breaking' in women to lesbianism. I mean, in a way, yes, these are almost always about first experiences, but it's less 'breaking in' and more of a calm and collected romantic immersion into same-sex love normally dreamed of, but only now consummated upon. The sex itself is always welcome, but the back-stories also turn these into something truly glorious.
This time we've something of a doozy. A call center employee, a divorcee with history. Curious, but cautious. She's been burned, she's had issues with guys. She's never been with a woman, but it's always been an idle thought in the back of her head growing larger and larger like a clump of hair around a disposer (sorry, first metaphor that came to mind). Eventually, an outlet is needed and that's where GOGOS and their latest female employee comes in. Appearing as YUMI MOCHIZUKI (more well known as REI HANAMIYA), we've a new face taking on a familiar role as a 'lesbian navigator' nonpareil. Holding a camera, holding a hand, and later, holding a butt to help steady herself as she eats out her new (for a weekend at least) life-mate.
FEMALE EMPLOYEE LESBIAN ONSEN WITH BICURIOUS AMATEUR 4 does not add nor subtract from a series that takes the realism we've seen in its sister series and gives it a slight spin. At the end of the day, the flow and format are almost identical, but the 'navigation' portion adds extra titillation and excitement since they know along with the viewer where that train ride and onsen visit will most definitely end. This is less about friends coming out and hopefully leading to lesbian romance (filmed almost nonstop of course!), but a journey on well-trodden tracks.
From a production standpoint, this one is good. It's all self-shot, but the camera even in the hands of an amateur (and mind you, it's the real deal, not a smartphone!) remains relatively steady. Perhaps thanks to an off camera helper, the lighting and angles get the right amount of bodies in frame and even the bathing encounters--something steam can work mischief with--appear as picturesque as the out of town journey itself. Before closing out this review, long-term fans may be curious about why we are showing these out of order and the answer simply is seasonal. There's no continuing story-line across the movies so they can be watched however you please.
