Ryou Sasaki - A True Story About a JAV Makeup Artist

Let me get it out of the way:  A TRUE STORY ABOUT A JAV MAKEUP ARTIST is a really cool movie.  Like the other one we showed from the same series some time ago, this one features a pretty unique theme paired with above average production value for an uncensored movie.  What's more, we've DREAMROOM going all out by including an extra actress (in a full sex role (albeit with a rubber) no less!).  The actress is a beauty, but the star of the show is "Rie Satou" (RYOU or RYO SASAKI depending on how you like to romanize your Japanese) who could've had an A-rank career, but opted to appear in a slew of mosaic-free releases before quickly retiring.

A TRUE STORY features those two beauties paired with two actors whom we've seen many a time.  The leader, Abe-chan of many voices, plays the director whom later on receives side benefits.  At times, this guy talks way too much, but even earlier in his career, he always excelled at roles that require him to be authoritative and he does that flawlessly here.  RYOU, the new makeup artist, steals the show.  She combines natural eroticism with wide-eyed inquisitiveness only new employees can muster.  Just what does a makeup artist need to do on a JAV set?  Does she have to watch the performance too or just wait in the break room in between takes?  New to the industry, she goes for the latter which piques her interest (and arousal) leading to the bulk of this brief, but effective 73 minute title.

I'd like to pad out this review with more praise and even try to dig up some faults.  Sure, it's not a brand new movie, but this is a solid example of theme triumphing over release date.  Even today with big studios, you don't usually see this type of plot done.  Smaller sadly seems to be the norm though with the pandemic slowly subsiding I believe a return to these types of campy, larger group JAV movies is on the horizon.  A TRUE STORY ABOUT A JAV MAKEUP ARTIST covers many bases and really does go all out.  This is one most fans and lovers of beauty mixed with unique themes should love.
