May brought in quite a few interesting oddities, and none more interesting or odd than this wrestling parody. The soon-to-be exclusive star, Ruisa, headlines the show as a rough-talking and badass wrestler. She seems to be parodying WWE star Rhea Ripley, and man, does she go all out for the role. She’s wild, loud, over the top, and putting on a show. You have to appreciate when an actress goes above and beyond for a role.

The video is a series of matches with Ruisa facing off against a group of men. There’s a lot of fake fighting that turns into sexual battles where Ruisa and the men take turns being on top. We get holds, pins, and takedowns that turn into blowjobs, fingering, and fucking. Lots of variety in the positions and poses. If you are a wrestling fan, I think you would love this. It’s weird, fun, creative, and they go all out to bring the spirit of the ring into JAV.

More interesting videos follow with this pervy Idol take by Studio Offside. A newer maker who specializes in group titles with creative premises. In the video, we see a trio of pop Idol hopefuls who are auditioning for a spot in a new group. They are put through a lewd gauntlet of tests to see if they pass muster. The extra twist on this pop competition is that their lovely managers also take part in the test to help their talent.

I absolutely loved this premise as it was strange and strangely erotic, which is what I love about JAV. The scenes of these women putting on lewd shows while acting all chipper and needy to get a spot, while their managers did their best to support their girls. Not only that, all the women were down for some girl-on-girl play, and it was especially nice seeing the younger idols play with their more mature managers. A nice group title with a deliciously twisted and lewd take.

Some videos toe that line of being too weird to enjoy, and your own mileage may vary. Such is the case with this Panty on head/Hentai Kamen concept by Madonna. They debuted another new Milfy actress, Sayaka, and her gimmick is that she won’t show her face. All of her titles so far have been masked, with her not showing her full face. We see all sorts of gimmicks, and this might be one of the more frustrating. This video takes her gimmick and runs with it. We get Sayaka, panty masked, in a variety of group scenes from a shower jerk off, to a scene where men draw lewd things on her body, to a twisted wedding scene. Not seeing Sayaka’s full face is one thing, but the men also don pig masks, and the whole video has a humiliation vibe to it with how the men treat Sayaka like a piece of meat to be used.

None of those are deal breakers by themselves, but all together it made the video a bit off-putting for me. To their credit, it’s all well done and shot in a style that suits it. And also, to Sayaka’s credit, she has a nice body and a pair of beautiful breasts. I’m hoping to see her full face when they decide to do away with this gimmick. She seems quite cute from the little glimpses we get.

The video goes for that Gonzo style where the camera is shoved up into their bodies for an extreme close-up with the harsh lighting. However, I can’t fault the performances as Rumina and Asuna brought the energy as the demanding and aggressive women of the cloth. Nor can I fault the Gonzo style; they set out to make it and executed it well. I just think the style is poor at capturing the action, and it makes everything too busy. If that Gonzo style is your jam and those Nuns catch your eye, then you should look into it.

Now for a check-in with Mitsuri Nagahama, Idea Pocket’s newest golden girl and face of the studio. I was a big fan of Mitsuri out of the gate, and she was one of my favorite debuts of last year. However, I have felt a bit whelmed by her output in 2025. Particularly by her performing, which feels a bit weak. She seems to be coasting a bit and is too passive in her videos. Like her performances in this Orgasm themed title, it doesn’t feel like she’s making any strong impression. IP has had such strong performers like Momo Sakura, Kana Momonogi, and Karen Kaede that the bar seems set for Mitsuri. Mitsuri is a very pretty rookie, and she has a great little body, but I need to see more from IP’s heir apparent.

Now, for a rookie who made a big impression on my first watch. Jun Ururu debuted in the latter half of 2024 as a freelancer and is far more experienced than your average rookie. This mature babe sports a part of fake tits with a slim figure and a round ass. Her boob scars weren’t very pleasing to look at though she does have a fit body. Just like with Mitsuri, she stars in a gimmick light title but makes a far bigger impression with her performance.

Jun was sexy, animated, relaxed, and fun to watch. The thing that struck me the most was her flexibility and how she used it during sex. To how she pops her ass out when taking it from behind or splaying her legs during cowgirl, all her positions looked even better thanks to her limberness. Add to that her liveliness and sexiness, and you’ve got a great hidden gem in the making. Performance alone, I want to see more of this limber Milf.

Back on the fun JAV track with this Super Sentai entry by Minamo. Minamo the Pink Ranger is infected by a virus that turns her into a horny ravenous beast. A classic plot device that is sprinkled with the Super Sentai theme. What I really liked about it, outside of the few hacky action scenes, was Minamo slutty performance. Her ahegao faces were so well done and didn’t go super overboard with it. No E-girl Ahegao faces here.

I’ve been a fan of Minamo since she debuted. She’s beautiful and total Gravure material. Her performing has never felt consistent; she’s had some great showings, but most of the time feels just okay. Having her play the horned out Pink Ranger was great, though. She brought on a sexy and silly energy I don’t expect from her videos often. Seeing her pretty little face make those silly and lewd faces, fantastic.

Now for the perfect video that combines smut with a comically serious Kana Yume. Since getting back onto the Freelance track, she has been ripping up the course. Kana plays the landlady of a man who has broken his arms and needs help during his recovery. Of course, his recovery includes her sexually gratifying him. All par for the course for a JAV film, but Kana’s take on the role made into one of the memorable films of the year.

She plays the landlady as a serious, stern, intense, and yet socially awkward woman. Someone who doles out hand jobs with the seriousness of a clinical researcher. However, that seriousness starts to fade as she starts to enjoy the sex more and lets out her horniness side. Still the tsundere, she tries to hide that nasty slutty of herself from the man. It's just a fantastic direction to play the character, and Kana sings as the comically serious woman. I recommend this odd yet oddly satisfying video where Kana puts on one heck of a performance.

Now to talk about one of my favorite Deepthroating videos of the year so far. This video by studio Real Works takes place in a hospital where the nurses do their best job to take in the hard and deep thrusts of their patients and colleagues.
