So… if Alice Nanase isn’t retiring, what exactly is she planning?

Honestly, that’s the question I’ve been asking myself ever since she uploaded her latest YouTube video.

For months, fans have been trying to figure out what direction she’s heading in, especially with so many changes happening inside the JAV industry these days. This time, though, Alice finally sat down and gave everyone a much clearer picture of what’s on her mind.

Alice was quick to bash rumors and made one thing very clear. She’s not retiring anytime soon. She repeated it once again... no retirement plans at least, not for now!

That said, Alice admitted the industry itself is changing.

Naturally, the conversation turned to the now heavily discussed M System, the contractual framework that’s generated plenty of debate by restricting actresses from participating in fan-produced AVs and, in certain cases, limiting which studios they’re allowed to work with. I’ve briefly discussed this in one of my columns in the past. It has become one of the hottest topics in the industry in the last couple of months.

But Alice’s stance was surprisingly straightforward. She said she has no intention of filming doujin JAVs anyway. And although she doesn’t have any immediate plans to return to studio filming just yet, she still sees her future primarily within the JAV industry.

So… If she isn’t actively filming, how is she supporting herself? According to her own words, there are currently two major projects keeping her busy.

The first is her paid OnlyFans community. The second is a crowdfunding campaign for her upcoming sixth-anniversary photo exhibition. Now, the crowdfunding thing caught my attention.

At the time of her update, Alice is halfway through her 3 million yen goal, with more than a month still left to go. Can she make it in due time? Who knows!

But there’s an old saying in crowdfunding that the first few days usually determine how a campaign will finish. We’ve already seen actresses like Nana Yagi smash their goals almost immediately. Alice’s campaign has been moving at a steadier pace. Maybe it’ll surge later, or maybe it will die down.

But fans can have access to her OnlyFans… She didn’t reveal subscriber numbers, so unless someone reading this is a member, your guess is probably as good as mine.

But here’s the part of her video that really made me stop and think. Some fans have started wondering whether she’s slowly transitioning into becoming an online creator rather than a traditional JAV actress.

Alice didn’t completely dismiss the possibility. Rather, she revealed something that’s honestly quite eye-opening. Despite spending six years in the industry and building an enormous online following, she says she’s actually considered to be past her peak within the JA.V industry

You know what’s even more surprising? She hinted that her earnings from studio work are far lower than most people would ever imagine… so AV income has dried up. At least for her.

That really puts things into perspective. Which leads to the biggest mystery of all. Alice says she’s currently working on an entirely new project something that doesn’t fit within the industry’s existing business model. If everything goes according to plan, she hopes it’ll become a reality sometime next year… or, at the latest, the year after.

But she hasn’t revealed much about it & that’s the exciting part. So, it’s pretty evident that Alice Nanase has made it clear that she isn’t preparing to leave the industry anytime soon. She’ll operate but on her own terms. Watch out this space for more!
