The Best JAV from Oppai Festival (OFES 2025)

One of my nostalgia baits in my long history of JAV Fandom is thinking back on the times when the AV Open was still around. A quick JAV history blurb: The AV Open was a seasonal AV festival that ran from 2014-2019 that allowed for extensive, varied and unlikely collaborations between studios. While the world of JAV freelance is lucrative, the big $$$$ is absolutely in the JAV studios, but certain things like exclusivity contracts, strict AV laws, and brand loyalty/messaging meant that JAV talents mostly kept to their lane. But the AV Open was a time of the year when there was some interesting intermingling between studios and talents that weren’t possible before. Unfortunately, The AV Open died in 2019 from even stricter AV laws (and the COVID pandemic didn’t help either).

Now we have AVOP’s… much more tamer successors, if they could even be called that. If we’re being honest, this is more like a showcase with barely any collaborations. A DMM affiliated studio releases a movie under the code, and I suppose it’s some kind of popularity contest to the theme. The Panty Festival, coded PFES-XXX, is a yearly springtime AV festival event focusing more on panty / underwear themes that started in 2021. And now, we have the Oppai Festival, coded OFES-XXX, is having it’s inaugural season for the summertime, this one more coded towards boobies. While this version of the Open is but a shadow of it’s former self, they do release some bangers in these sets, so I’m hopeful that maybe it’s a start to swinging back the pendulum to the wild west that was the AV Open.
