BREAKING: FANSA Calls Out Alice Nanase For Missing Out An Event!

Catch up on the most trending gossip that we had our eyes on in August

Well, things got messy pretty quickly between Alice Nanase & an HK-based event organizer.

So this particular organizer, known for cosplay, photography, and creator events, has found itself in an online dispute with JAV sensation Alice Nanase. Honestly, the wording of one particular announcement is what caught my attention.

The organizer’s Instagram @fansahk currently has fewer than 1,000 followers, apparently after its primary Instagram account was hit with multiple bans since it operates in a grey area with erotic content. The newer account was created as an alternative communication channel and is generally used for official announcements, ticket information, and updates about participating creators and cosplayers.

But one recent post definitely stood out to us. Thanks to one of our staff members for bringing this to my attention.

The organizer announced that Alice Nanase, who had originally been scheduled to appear at FANSA 08 on November 14, would no longer be attending the event.

The statement read: “Originally scheduled guest for FANSA 08, Alice Nanase, has been unable to attend the event on November 14th due to personal reasons. Therefore, Alice Nanase will not be considered for future guest appearances at this event.”

The organizer then instructed ticket holders seeking refunds to contact its Telegram channel before September 10, while also promising that deposits for reserved time slots would be refunded.

So far, this sounded like a fairly standard cancellation announcement, but apparently, Alice wasn’t particularly happy with the way the announcement was handled.

She later called out the organizers in the comments, claiming that they had failed to respond to her messages and questioning why the announcement appeared to go beyond simply explaining that she couldn’t attend.

Alice also said that she was willing to provide for the missed appearance, and this is where things started getting interesting.

According to Alice, she had already explained the personal reasons behind her absence, so she felt there was no need for the organizers to publicly make the situation sound worse than it was.

In other words, from her perspective, the issue wasn’t necessarily the cancellation itself. It was how the cancellation was communicated. The tone didn’t sit right with her.

The organizers, however, didn’t seem to agree. They responded by explaining that they were simply stating the facts: Alice would no longer be attending the event for personal reasons, and because she would not be participating in or representing the event in the future, ticket changes would not be possible.

Alice didn't waste anytime to call out the event organizers.

They also pushed back against the suggestion that the statement was a personal attack. “There was no attack on you. Please read the message carefully.”

Honestly, this is one of those situations where both sides seem to believe they’re simply explaining themselves. Alice appears to feel that the wording was unnecessarily harsh, while the organizers insist that they were only informing customers about the consequences of her cancellation.

The interesting part is that the original announcement didn’t merely say Alice couldn’t attend. It also specifically stated that she would no longer be considered for future guest appearances. That’s a pretty definitive statement.

Whether that was necessary or not is probably where the disagreement comes from.

For now, it doesn’t look like there’s been any further resolution between the two sides. Alice has made her position clear, while FANSA appears to be standing by its original explanation.

Recently a number of US states and a few countries of note have enacted age verification requirements for adult sites. On the US front at least, legal experts both within and outside of our industry do not believe any will pass a constitutional test. However, since these laws currently are on the books and thus have the ability to be enforced, we are choosing to comply with them at this point in time.

ZENRA uses Bluecheck.me, a third party verification service, to perform this important task easy to install filtering software does infinitely better.

Information used in the verification process is not stored on our servers. Phone number and address verification is instant and uses database cross referencing (no calls, no SMS messages, nothing mailed to the address). ID verification takes about one minute and is performed 'blind' on Bluecheck's side where the ID is reviewed by someone unaware of what service the submitter is attempting to access.

Regardless of what method you choose, it costs you nothing, but does increase the cost of our operations in order to somehow make the internet a 'safer' place.
