Maria Nagai is a little thicc for my tastes but, just as you wrote, I love a pregnancy kink JAV!
I can understand this dilemma. It's a tough choice to make but, in the end, I think it was the right one. Even mainstream magazines and newspaper have article limits for free users and the limits you guys decided on are not as restrictive as some others online. That said, I'm little concerned about whether this will hurt your marketing, and ultimately subscriber counts and financial solvency. I found (and subscribed to) Zenra through the blog and I'd be willing to be that others do too. Hopefully search engines and other places that pick up the Zenra blog roll will still be able to do so often enough that results will roll to the top and help more people find (and subscribe to) Zenra. I don't know much about your business model and maybe this won't even be an issue but, as a non-Japanese speaking JAV fan, I'd hate to lose access to what you guys do. I'll keep paying for Zenra as long as I can still pay for food and housing so I'm in it for the long haul no matter.
There are some very beautiful Korean women but I'm not sure they can compete (in my eyes) with the beauty of Japanese women. I'm curious about KAV but I'm sure (just as you write) their nascent industry has A LOT of catching up to do if they're going to be any competition to JAV. Certainly JAV still rules the roost when it comes to creative, seductive, and hot concepts but, just as you point out, JAV has become formulaic over the last couple decades. It's too bad that South Korea demands censorship too. Seriously, with all that's available worldwide, the mosaics are an anachronism at this point. Culturally, I'm still team Japan and while I might entertain some KAV now and again, it's JAV that keeps me captivated and probably always will.
I agree with most of this take. Watch a Japanese movie or show that's been dubbed, then watch the same with the original audio. It's always a completely different feeling. Even if you don't speak Japanese or understand it, the feelings conveyed in Japanese are different than what's conveyed in a dub. Besides that, Japanese women cultivate their voices. Love it or hate it, they work to sound as they do. I agree it's incredibly sensual and the voice contributes a lot to the appeal of JAV. It even makes Japanese actresses in predominantly English casts more appealing. Japanese language is definitely hotter than English.
Enjoyable overview of the ahegao fad. Thanks for the write-up. I like ahegao when it isn't done in an over-the-top, comical way. I've seen JAVs where eye-roll and loss of tongue control (and the resultant drooling) looks unforced and natural. It's absolutely a turn-on in the way that you say: this person is overwhelmed by out of control ecstatic overdrive! Great to see. I don't like the insane (and ridiculous looking) ahegao that's so over-the-top that it makes a viewer think: "Is this person so bored they've turned to making absurd faces?" The problem I have with it is not the comical silliness, but that it's dangerously close to the over-the-top (and utterly idiotic) facial expressions American mainstream AV stars make. I can put up with the ahegao that JAV stars are currently offering but I can't stand the farcical expressions seen in other AV. Maybe it's just not my kink. Keep the ahegao but don't let it get so outlandish that it obscures the actual fun and becomes that main event.
