As HARUNA fans know (and I'm just going to assume that most any who read these reviews for long-running series are the major fans), it wasn't too long into the series where pretty much two formats were decided upon: lesbian massages and seeing how far real friends can go. Per JAV finances, the former probably was a lot cheaper since you only need the masseuse and one woman per scene rather than the two or three (if we factor the hostess who may not always appear in every scene) that the latter format requires. Nevertheless, PETERS for the longest time ensured a good combination of both came out and most likely Director Haruna deciding to move on to less confining pastures was the reason why as of writing this, the series is on ice.

Attempting to really dive into what makes HARUNA 56 any different from others that make use of the REAL FRIENDS STARK NAKED EXPERIENCE format is like trying to describe the tastes of various 100% apple juice products in a supermarket: they're all sweet and tasty and even for someone who loves AJ, I can't really tell a difference. This is no shade on HARUNA. Please keep this in mind! HARUNA 56 in some ways reminds me of the semi-recently released AOYAMA 7 a movie I described as "coasting". As noted there, being "samey" with others in the series is not a bad thing. After all, aside from Haruna (and her AD) herself, the cast is all new. The host this time is fresh from a hostess club AZUMI MIZUSHIMA (really, she's basically sports the hostess look harder than most any JAV star retired or active) whom given the setup totally nails the slightly dominant sex-loving lesbian navigator a series like this direly needs.

The real friends vibe runs strong in each of the five scenes. The real deal? Actresses portraying friends? A little bit of both? The elusive real friends both deciding to do JAV at the same time and together? Who knows. That's the beauty of movies like this and where JAV really just rides on high: these amateur 'people monitoring' movies that excel at realism. Look ma, no tattoos in sight! Instead approachable cute, but perhaps not supermodel beautiful Japanese women in their twenties lezzing out in the back of a van parked in a coin parking lot somewhere in western Tokyo. If you still have not seen a HARUNA movie, this is as good an entry into them as any. If you've been here for awhile, then welcome back. The suspension on the van may be lacking, but the vibrators are plugged in, charged, and ready for girl-on-girl stimulation!
