Way back in 2016 when we first started showing AOYAMA movies, the original plan was to stick with their most well known therapist, "Y.S.". The studio, GOGOS, told us she was the best by far and this is something even after handling other lesbian massage JAV movies we can agree to. However, while few truly nailed the amazing talking WHILE providing a surprisingly realistic massage routine as well as her, dare I say others have come close and pretty much all have done at least a half decent job.

The plan nevertheless was just to show the 30 or so movies Y.S. appeared in and then move on. After all, be it the first movie that we're showing today originally released so long ago that someone born the year it was shot is one year shy of being a legal adult, all were SD releases, a format we originally promised to cease with due to being in a more 'modern' era.

But the emails. While we don't get too many, the ones that specifically request content more often than not want more Aoyama even with the above potential flaws. If saying is true that for every person who makes the effort to email, there's ten who want the same, then we really needed to rethink showing more of GOGOS's legendary series. Thus, we backtrack and yes folks, we do so in a way most grandiose: beginning with today's update and with a very small (can count on one hand as of writing this) number of scenes that cannot be shown due to actress delisting requests, ALL of the AOYAMA movies through 120 will be shown on ZENRA.

What's more, we will be remastering the ones we haven't shown yet (such as today's!). The resolution we have elected to keep the same as testing a HD upscale did not result in a night-and-day example of quality increase. However, even an SD -> SD remaster ended up smoothing out fuzziness in the edges of bodies, adding more natural color to areas that were before washed out, and overall adding in detail to where it was lacking (most notably the hair of clients).

With all the talk so far about Y.S., it would be a dishonor not to make use of some digital ink to introduce the first therapist of the series. Her name is not given, but she's an intriguing one: slightly tan in spite hailing from Hokkaido and pretty much nails the dialog which is all the more surprising since unlike all other therapists in the series, she essentially had nothing to go on! Her massage skills definitely feel closer to the less than ideal authenticity of the massage itself in the SEXUAL LESBIAN MASSAGE series which also segues into the only issue of note in AOYAMA 1: in all three scenes, all clients remain face down and face up while the therapist seems more into painting oil on them than providing some semblance of a massage. This is not a critical issue all things considered, but for the ultra realism purists, it may be a 'point down' moment.

We now to move to the set itself: it's the same! However, aside from the location of the massage bed, the setup is different: different color sheets for starters, massage equipment positioned in other places (and yes, the Aroma Sonic is present!), the four fixed cameras are positioned to cover different angles, and it seems for the first dozen or so AOYAMA movies, the curtains seem to remain open allowing natural light to help enhance the image. Out of all these changes, it's the natural light that I kind of wish we saw more of in later editions of the series, but for evenness across all scenes, relying on steady studio lighting may have been a better long-term choice.

Not much has been noted about the three clients themselves and with that, we'll conclude the review for AOYAMA 1, an altogether good entry into JAV's most realistic lesbian massage series. They're all cute. That's about it. None are absolutely babes on another level, but all are easy on the eyes. None are what you'd call super busty and that's OK. For a series that pushes realism, but still wants to cast women who are pleasing to look at, GOGOS decided wisely both with the clients and the therapist herself. AOYAMA is BACK!
