JAV Sales Report - June 2025 ft. Kanna Seto's Dethrone

Welcome to the June sales report. Let's go see where we're at now that we're half way through the game.

Do people ever believe the left video? Where the AV actress goes out and becomes a normal person and has sex with normal people? Does anyone think that you can be this slutty and find men who don’t recognize a top actress like her? It’s probably even worse now considering contracts have to be signed well in advance, actors can’t be swapped out - really ruins the fun of what made JAV magical just a decade ago. That being said, that and this new OL video are certainly two big reasons why Remu is up top this month. I’d like to think it’s more the office lady video if only because I think office lady is a much nicer theme, because really it doesn’t look like the office lady part is that strong in it. Either way it’s nice to see Prestige actresses getting some love outside of Prestige’s site.

Mina’s gone freelance recently and the effects of it are instantly showing. She’s been a pretty strong performer from fairly early on and nothing excites me more than her getting an opportunity in my favourite series. Maybe her boobs aren’t quite what I want in that series (or really are nowhere near what I want) but the performance will undoubtedly be fantastic. I’m as excited as everyone else appears to be and we’ll certainly be seeing a review of this down the line.

Hina Nitori is an actress we really don’t see much of on these lists. She’s kind of gone through the ringers, having debuted at S1 less than three years ago and having been exclusive at three different studios and now a freelancer. I do feel like she’s doing well as a freelancer though and people seem to be rather happy with her despite not being at the top of the industry. I certainly think the early signs are that Fitch was a better studio than the random stuff she’s doing now, but maybe Hina is just a dime a dozen actress that is better suited to being a freelancer for volume over quantity.

Ichika continues to be one of the most popular actresses in the industry. I can respect it, even if she’s not my type I get what people see in her. Especially when she’s releasing multiple VR in a month despite being an exclusive, now that’s some hard work! I feel like she generally doesn’t move much on this list but it is interesting to see S1 actresses eclipsing her so much when she does have double VR.

Is ASMR really that big of a thing? She’s eating what, some banana candy? And people eat it up? I always find it’s a little much for me and I find it interesting that Mia is doing so well this month especially when she skipped her June release. Maybe she’s getting lucky she was in like half a dozen omnibus videos, not sure how that came about but I guess she’s reaping the benefits.

Would you want Yuria to sit on your face like that? Yuria isn’t the actress I would pick first, and I’d rather her smother me with her boobs, but I guess I’ll take it either way. Yuria’s just got that plump body which really stands out in the industry since BBW is such a rare genre. There’s so few mainstream actresses that do, and it’s hard to compete with Yuria’s boobs as well. It’s also just nice to see Yuria doing something that isn’t another hentai adaptation. Nothing against hentai adaptations but they’ve gone from “wow she looks like hentai irl” to making that her entire identity. It’s the same sort of problem Hitomi had at Oppai. I wouldn’t mind it if hentai adaptations were as good as they could be but alas they’re not. Either way though, curvy Yuria like this is definitely something to peep.

S1 looks like it’s having some competition at the top, and by top I mean their top halves aka their chests. Several busty actresses did well this month, not just Kanna Seto. Well, sure, she is on top, but watching other recent debuts compete or even Mei Washio do well is a good sign. It’s nice to see healthy competition and nice to see everyone get a chance in the spotlight. Watching Yu Tano keep up with the new poster actress is nice, and seeing Ako still at the top makes me excited for when I check her out. I’m still hoping she gets something good before I do but those tits look so good that I can only hold out for so long.

Sana Mashiro is also doing very well for herself this month. Debuting in second place is always a great sign, and I can hardly say it’s not a boon when it’s next to Kanna Seto. I mean, if this was a year ago she’d almost certainly be first place but the Kanna buff is too strong. I can’t say I was this excited about her when I peeped myself and I’m more into the 10th place name as a debut, but regardless it’s nice to see debuts hit the ground running and will undoubtedly make me double take on watching Sana.

What’s the verdict on Rui Shido? Does she seem like the next best thing since sliced bread? She seems fine to me but fine doesn’t exactly cut it these days, especially not with the reputation Muteki has. Muteki seems like such a strange studio to me these days because of how little they release and how mediocre things are. Just a few short years ago we were talking about how Muteki debuts were a sign from the gods until they dropped the ball. Maybe I’m being a bit sensationalist and we can wait to see how it plays out, but I’m not sold just yet on her.

It’s interesting seeing S1 make this the cover because this is actually from a photobook they did. It’s a really nice one too with a sort of disco theme and the red background. My favourite images are the ones that have the S1 sign on it but hey, the whole thing is nice. What’s actually most interesting to me is not that two actresses were skipped but that the promo pics here are actually not in the photobook. I know because I logged into DMM and looked through my copy - they’re not there! I feel scammed! At any rate it’s fun to get a lot of content from a lot of actresses and they had a solid roster back in 2023 (which is when the photobook came out). Also interesting to see Miyu Kiyohara front and center, Saika and Yua I understand, but did not think they would pick Miyu over everyone else. At any rate it’s almost certainly a sale contributing to this success but I think it’s still good to see someone other than Kanna in the spotlight from them.

Mitsuri Nagahama (長浜みつり) stealing first place from Kanna on this list is wild to me. I mean I like Mitsuri as much as the next guy does but the bar for Kanna was really high and Mitsuri was not the one I expected to take over. I guess it helps when you get some quality releases, and man does she have some. While Bookmate’s results are probably more due to the Harlem (this will never stop being funny to me) release, I expect good things next month too. We already see others doing well like Saki Sasaki in 8th and Momo Sakura high on multiple lists, but will be interesting to see how this continues to play out for Mitsuri.

Rei Kamiki (神木麗) might not do well on DMM’s site when people are split between DMM and SOD sites, but at Bookmate she can show us how popular she is. Rei is just an incredible actress for me, very pretty, a strong performer, and has the body to back it all up. I’ve mentioned how I think people should be watching her and she just keeps climbing up my list of favourites. It’s nice to see her in the spotlight here and I hope she continues this.

Yui Sayama (佐山由依) has been on a bit of a tear lately, or maybe what I would personally call a downward spiral. She’s moved on to freelancing but hasn’t really had all the right opportunities. Her GES stands as a highlight, not just because it’s my favourite series but because the opportunities she’s getting now are pretty mediocre. There’s so many bad releases that mid tier studios stand out. It’s a bit of a shame and I expect her to drop down many spots unless she just takes so many gigs she floods the market.

Yuika Onosaka (小野坂ゆいか) is another exclusive turned freelance that wound up on Oppai’s GES series. Unlike Yui where her GES is recent, Yuika’s was half a year ago. Still, she’s got other stuff for Oppai still coming out. Like Yui I see Yuika at a lot of mediocre studios but I guess she’s getting that critical mass of videos to make her stand out. I didn’t think she was anything special but when you film as much as she has been and you sprinkle some lesbian in the fold I guess it gets the job done.

I’ve written at length before about my infatuation with Maki Tomoda (友田真希). She’s crazy nice for someone who’s over 50 years old, easily my favourite at that age. Maki took some extended time off, conveniently enough as if she was pregnant. Would have made an interesting story but she was on social and clearly not, plus she runs a bar called Labyrinth. Regardless I’m glad to see she’s back to filming. I always find the extreme cases to be interesting, like who can film the most videos, who can have the longest career, or in Maki’s case who can be the most popular older woman. And, like I mentioned, she’s not just a MILF, she’s visibly in GILF territory. I still think she’s great and I hope we continue to see her on the list as she pumps out releases again.

Ryouka Sakura (桜りょうか) is perhaps better known as Ren Yukishiro. Or maybe she’s honestly better known as Ryouka because Ren was an absolute flop. She was heavy and the industry didn’t seem to like that. Big tits, yes, but heavy. I think she was also just really bland and all the videos were equally bland. She’s debuting at Madonna now, and as an exclusive. She looks like she’s nicer physically but I think she’s likely to be the same old. Which honestly, I can’t exactly complain when she has 101J cup tits that are just above the line for ultra huge. We’ll have to see if she’s in it for real or not this time, Madonna is certainly a much better place but they’re also willing to drop actresses like flies. We’ll probably get at least three videos so maybe in the mid fall we’ll have a better sense of what’s going on with her. Even though I’ve seen Ren I’m willing to give Ryouka another shot if she’s still with Madonna at 5 videos, or maybe even just as long as she’s still filming because damn 101J is a nice size.

I feel like not too long ago we were talking about how Ruisa Totsuki (都月るいさ) was everywhere. That still seems to be true but it feels like people have cooled down a bit on her. I mean, this video looks interesting but is it actually good or is it just a gimmick? It looks like quite the gimmick that might have a few good moments but mostly be trash. Feels like maybe she did a speedrun of being at the top and kind of exhausted everything. It’s actually been nearly three years since she debuted and the IP debut has spent more than 75% of her career as a freelancer. It does look like her actual peak was a year ago, though she has remained on DMM’s top 100 actresses for well over a year. Still interesting either way to see how short-lived peaks can be and maybe puts it into perspective a bit for other aspiring freelancers.

Ai Sayama (佐山愛) is certainly giving us a great sendoff. If you haven’t heard she’s retiring later this year but she’s making the most of her last few months. I’d argue that the last year or two have been quite revitalized from her, plenty of fantastic videos despite how much she has already accomplished. If you haven’t heard she’s joining Moodyz as an exclusive actress (and I suspect she’ll end up shared exclusive). While I’ve only seen the hentai adaptation listed so far it’s still great to see her taking on more interesting stuff like this. Here’s hoping we get something super special before her final sendoff.
