I know it'd be somewhat silly to add Yuma Asami since she had a career spanning more than 5 years, but she had arguably the most famous (and in many respects most tragic) reason for cutting her career prematurely short. Who knows how many more years Yuma would have gone on if it wasn't for her very unfortunate illness. She didn't seem burned out psychologically, and although in her last two years you could see she started to regress physically, the quality of her work didn't show any marked decline. Had she not gotten sick I think she probably would have hit the decade mark. Her friends like Aki, Rio and Aino Kishi were still going strong, so I think Yuma would have continued for some time and we might even have seen her expand into things and characters we hadn't seen up to that point. So unfortunate, but at least we have more than a hundred Yuma titles to treasure.

Congratulations on the first year of the blog. Thanks so much for creating this space where English lovers of JAV can get together and share their appreciation and love for the genre. It's an awesome place to visit on the regular, especially with the high quality writers you guys have as contributors.

Not sure. Is her butt even "real"? That's kind of important. I might be wrong - probably am wrong - but it looks as if her butt might be augmented. Butt-wise, it's gotta be Kurea Hasumi. Her butt isn't just a great JAV butt; it's an all star in all of porn. I'm not really the fetish type, so I can't just zero in on one outstanding aspect of a performer and let that be my entire reason for liking them; they have to have many qualities I find appealing. They need to be a sort of all-round package, if you will. I don't mean to disrespect Shiori Tsukada, but she doesn't really appeal to me, nor do I know if she has wide appeal. If she does indeed enjoy wide appeal - even if that appeal is based around one thing - God bless to all. And you're damn right I'll fight for Yuma-chan. She's been my number 1 from the start. I've discovered many performers I've come to love over the years - many of them recommended by you guys, so thank you on that front - but Yuma has never vacated that number 1 spot for me. She's just too unique, for many reasons. She's kinda like Messi - an all time legendary great, but somehow still feels as if they're underrated.

Forgive me if I sound hyperbolic, but Yuma Asami's breasts are perhaps the most important pair in JAV history. I cannot even imagine how many people across the world got pulled into JAV because of that singular pair. I most certainly was, more than 10 years ago at this point. You can argue the merits and demerits of her Yuma's oppai, but there's no discounting how unique they are and how important they've been to JAV. This is gonna sound really corny and again, I apologize, but Yuma's breasts have character, and the way she flaunted them - with such obvious delight (especially when she dealt with "fans") - really imbued them with a kind of magic. Perhaps Yuma's breasts aren't to your taste, and that's fine, but to omit them completely...well, that just feels like quite the oversight. On the topic of Julia's breasts being real or not, I side with you in believing they have to be real. For me personally the giveaway is how they change in volume depending on her weight. Augmented breasts, no matter how great a job was done on them, simply do not behave like that. I actually don't mind her breasts having changed with time; it actually makes them feel more special. It's as if we've all matured along with those wonderful specimens that have brought us so much enjoyment over the years. Julia, for my money, has never been sexier than she is now, and not just because she's now firmly ensconced in the "mature" faze of her career; her body just looks more "complete" than it ever has before. I can honestly enjoy every aspect of her physical being at this point, especially her legs and ass, which have only gotten better while she's toned up a bit, but especially, to my mind, what's always been her best, but perhaps underrated by most, features: her glowing, flawless skin, and her heartwarming smile (especially now that she's got some wrinkles to go along with it, which just makes that much more endearing). Also, the fact that she looks more comfortable now than she ever has makes me love the faze that she's currently in even more. Thank God for Julia.
