Alice Otsu has already made a strong case for Model of the Year. She's been on my radar forever but I wrote her off as an Azusa Misaki type: the type of actress who gives elite performances but only appears in sporadic and forgettable videos. Never expected her to dye her hair and become a breakout star alongside younger models like Rino Yuki and Ena Satsuki. As a sexual performer, she excels in Yumika Saeki-esque "Super Slut" roles but her acting instincts allow her to do much more. Like Yuna Ogura and Ichika Matsumoto she's able to add layers to a performance by just being present, reacting, and finding interesting things to do. For example, in DASD-994 she appears to surprise her costar a bite of her pizza and then gives him another bite during the sex scene. It's a small detail, but it shows how fun and charismatic she is.

I'm happy Alice Kisaki is doing well. She has the appeal of a shy "girl next door" while having one of the best bodies in the business. It is a given that she would have a fanbase but I didn't expect her to show up on this chart. She is still a stiff performer but she is keeping busy and has shown noticeable improvements. She may have a higher ceiling than anyone thought, I was surprised how dialed in she was when working with Chisato.Aoi Amano has been on my radar and I was even more surprised to see her here. Her face is average, her body is average, but her personality is S tier. She was introduced as someone with eyes on being a voice actor and she really chews the scenery when she is on camera. I'd love to see her work with Ichika Matsumoto, they have similar approaches to acting and it would be fun to see the sparks fly.I rarely see people talk about Mia Nanasawa but she is one of the best performers in the business. I imagine she works fast because Moodyz doesn't do a lot of gonzo specials with her. Everything she puts out is top shelf: high production values, great acting, amazing sex, great camera work. If I was Moodyz I would beg her to enter directing or some other creative position when she announces her retirement.

My theory is that sex workers built a toolbox of non-penetrative sex acts like nipple play and sumata, and guys retroactively built a fetish around it. A full 30 minutes of nipple play is not something you would ask of your partner but watching it in JAV would remind you of an IRL soapland visit. If you don't have that memory you don't have that fetish.

I had a similar reaction when I discovered her. I love the art direction for the Kimihore label but their talent tend to disappear after their debut contract. After losing Meru Kusumi & Eren Miyazawa I had little interest in getting my hopes up for Rima Arai. I checked out APAK-212 not knowing it was the same girl and was blown away. I suspected she had work done but my OCD wasn't being triggered by all the obvious signs. It is possible that she just naturally has a face that looks enhanced for maximum sex appeal. Her breasts have an unnaturally full shape from multiple angles but as soon as they start moving you see how insanely soft they are. I hope this is the Kimihore girl who sticks around. At least long enough to work with Rara Kudou, Mitsuki Nagisa, and Ichika Matsumoto

Rara Anzai is a unicorn and I doubt she pays much attention to the industry. For nearly decade she has been an elite contract girl and S1 likely bends over backwards to film only when it is convenient for her. Fans online are constantly complaining about low effort but she doesn't have social media and likely only bothers to see her sales figures. Yua Mikami my be a rung above her and Yui Hatano may have a bigger net worth, but there are only a handful of actresses at her level. There is little incentive for her to change anything she is doing.I feel the best comparison for Alice Kisaki is Aimi Yoshikawa. They both have an uncooked quality, like the weird girl next door who suddenly blossomed over summer break. They can look exceptional when professionally photographed but in action they can appear inconsistent, performances marred by pained or uninterested facial expressions and looking generally uncomfortable in their own skin. Despite this, Aimi was special enough to garner a large fanbase, while ultimately not being happy and feeling trapped by adult work. I can easily see Alice reaching Aimi's tier. She still very raw. Tweaks to her appearance will happen (a gym membership and new hairstyle wouldn't hurt) and just being more comfortable in front of the camera can lead to huge leaps as a performer. Her potential is fascinating.
