What is the Allure to Cheating in JAV?

I think relatability is one really strong factor that contributes to the popularity of cheating. Like I said, anyone could end up cheating on a partner, and the temptation to do so is strong, especially amongst men. Male instincts makes them yearn for multiple women - any beautiful woman is enough to tempt a male, and that's purely biological and can be hard to ignore. Beautiful woman = arousal, and there's no real getting around that.

In a way, it almost feels "natural" to cheat, it's just that hard to ignore. Even if the woman isn't actively trying to seduce the man in question, a man has to try and quell his natural desires and stay faithful to his partner. In the end, the man makes the conscious decision of whether to cheat or not.

The concept of having this intense sense of temptation, and then finally the man caves and it surges into pure pleasure - that can make for quite the enticing sex scene. Picture a JAV where the man is tempted and seduced all movie long by this woman, the temptation only growing as the movie goes on, only for him to finally succumb to his natural desires, betraying his partner in the process. It really is a great concept for a JAV - as you can delay the sensual scenes and have watchers just waiting on bated breath wondering whether or not the man will submit, all the while, the movie does it's best to show how hot the woman is.

Finally, it culminates in a sex scene that demonstrates that the woman's beauty was too much to ignore, and in a way, saying that sex with this woman is "more important than my relationship". It also pushes the idea that the woman was so tempting that even a strong relationship could shatter, which is really quite the impactful message for a story-driven JAV. It really is an art, and it gives the JAV a lot of sophistication, while at the same time delivering a great sex scene by building it up over the course of the movie.

All that said, cheating helps to add stakes and tension to a movie. When it comes to more normal sex scenes, the perversion plays out and there's nothing to lose. But, take someone whose in a relationship and have them starting fooling around with other mates and there's now something at stake. The cheater in question has to do everything in their power to keep their "secret" from getting out (that is, unless the cheating is allowed and a fetish of their partner's... but that's a whole other topic entirely), otherwise it could lead to not only a break-up, but something even more dire depending on the story. For JAV that focus on plot, cheating is a great way to add conflict and tension, allowing for more deep and meaningful moments. Sadly, most JAV don't do this and only focus on the sexual allure of cheating.

And another part of that allure is the "secrecy" of it all. To go behind the back of the one you love the most, and essentially betray them - a lot of people find that sort of thing thrilling. Make it a love affair where you have sex with another woman and it's even stronger. The secrecy behind carrying out this betrayal without the partner knowing just makes it that much more stimulating, on top of the cheater thinking that they could possibly get away with it. It's no different than doing a bad deed - it's exciting because it's deemed "wrong". Think of those certain moments in JAV where a couple are having sex while someone else is in the room, but the couple is shielded physically by something, covering up the sex from being visible. I think cheating is a lot like that, just on a more mental level.

I touched on this slightly before, but cheating feels way more deliberate than a normal JAV. With a normal JAV, things happen spur of the moment or however those involved feel. With cheating, while it could still technically be a spur of the moment thing and/or unexpected, at the end of the day, the cheater makes the decision to cheat. Viewers know that this person is choosing to go through with something that they know they shouldn't, adding weight to their actions and making scenes more dramatic.

Another unique thing to cheating JAV is that it breaks the usual routine. Many JAV tend to follow patterns, and while that's not necessarily a bad thing, it does make things that break this formula stand out more. A cheating scenario is not like a new fetish that comes into play or a sexy new outfit, it's a conflict with different implications that causes chaos amongst characters. It typically involves a different range of emotions, and adds a level of drama to everything. It's like whiplash in a sense. Imagine a movie with a standard romance - the two get to know each other, they go out on a date, they go home and have very safe vanilla sex. Then in the very next scene the woman's in a gimp suit and demands anal sex and there's a lot of yelling during the penetration. That's quite the jump from how things were, and it makes things more interesting, because you wonder, "what will happen next"?
