Panking's 2025 JAV Retrospective: Top 10 Disappointing Videos of 2025 Part 1

It's now time for my last retrospective post of 2025. This time counting down my 10 biggest disappointing videos of the year. Now these films aren't all bad. Many still have some redeeming qualities but they pale in comparison to their true potential. I was expecting much more.I'll be counting down from number ten all the way down to my most disappointing at number one. Without further ado, let's begin.

I went into this film expecting a solid watch as the director had really grown on me with his past several works. But sadly it was a completely forgettable time. The setup isn't anything fancy with her playing a masseuse sporting some Chinese inspired dresses. With this being a Chijo Heaven film, you can expect an overarching lewd aesthetic all throughout. This sounds fine on paper given Mina's proficiency at these roles. But the overall execution really is a letdown. One of my biggest gripes by far is that she doesn't get naked until the final scene. She's covered up for the majority of the film which is very frustrating. Especially in one of the sex scenes where you're begging for her bra to come off and it sadly never does.

I'm also not the biggest fan of this wardrobe style either so the outfits didn't do much for me personally. Another major issue is the fakery. Not only is every cumshot fake but they also utilize several fake dicks for some scenes. C'mon guys! It's so obvious too when the guy ejaculates silly string style ropes. I also found some of the technical aspects to be very mixed, mainly the camerawork. There are a few decent shots for sure but an even greater amount of wonky angles and copious fish eye lens use. It's frustrating as the last sex scene is solid and her performance overall is classic Mina. But the fake nonsense really ruins many of the scenes. There's potential here but it's ultimately squandered. What a shame.

Himari Kinoshita really caught my eye in late 2025. She's dummy thick with some incredibly meaty thighs. Imagine my hype when I see a seemingly ass focused film with her booty front and center on the cover. And unfortunately, the film doesn't live up to it. The plot itself is fine enough with Himari playing a volleyball player who seduces her coach with her big booty. Things begin to go off track soon after starting with the action. We get two sex scenes, both of which are decent. But it's everything in-between that's a letdown. It's just two assjob/blowjob scenes marred by fake cumshots. In fact, there's just one single real load which is very lame. This makes the middle of the film feel like such a waste.

It's unfortunate as the two sex scenes aren't terrible and have a few highlights. But there's another issue that gets in the way and that's the lighting. It's a tale of two halves really. The first two scenes employ a more flat and drab look while the other two utilize a dimly lit setup, more so the last scene. It's a dark room with just a single light source coming from right behind the camera. I don't think any of this really looks all that great. The whole production just feels cheap. I wasn't too keen on the wardrobe either and the camerawork can be quite mixed with some really poor angles at times. It's a tale as old as time. An enticing premise gone to waste thanks to some poor execution all around.

Momona Koibuchi seems like such a no-brainer to cast for a doujinshi adaptation given her deliciously thick curves and big tits. But this one left me feeling pretty underwhelmed. The plot is rather interesting at least. It centers around Momona dragging herself to have sex with this guy and make him cum to satisfy his desires so he'll stay away from her older sister. It starts with just letting him rub his dick on her panties and hair before gradually ramping up leading to full on sex. For what it's worth, it's a pretty faithful adaptation and Momona is a good fit. She does a fine job at being cold and disinterested as she just goes through the motions.

She looks pretty nice too and the action itself is solid with three sex scenes in all, just like in the manga. I also appreciated the frequent cut in with panels from the manga. It's a nice touch that I wish more studios would use in their doujinshi adaptations. So what exactly is the problem? Well it's all in the production values. The entire film utilizes the exact same lighting setup and setting for every single scene. There is zero variety. I understand they may be a little restricted by the source material but at least change up the lighting. It makes all the scenes blend together and feel quite repetitive as a result. It's far from a bad watch and is still a decent time but the lack of variety there really drags it down.

Such a vibrant cover for such a mediocre film. The plot is fairly unique at least with it centering around a guy who agrees to help his best friend's sister, along with her friend, with setting up the neighborhood association samba carnival. It doesn't take long though for the pair to start seducing him as they fuck him senseless. I'll give the plot some points for originality with the samba inspired setup but this unfortunately leads to one of my biggest problems, the wardrobe. While I appreciate the colorful outfits and samba aesthetic, they end up getting in the way. The tops completely cover up their chests and they keep them on for half the damn video.

It's incredibly frustrating. This frustration continues with the lighting and settings too as 2/3 scenes reuse the same room with nearly the same lighting too. It doesn't help that it's pretty bland overall with little sauce. It's a stark contrast to its vibrant samba inspiration. The action isn't too hot either. Sure we get two threesome scenes but there is next to zero interaction between them which is a huge missed opportunity. It's especially painful when we know both are open to it. Both of their individual performances are good with them really letting loose in the last scene. I'm also just not a huge fan of Miu's current look honestly. But anyway, this film really underdelivers on it's promising samba setup with extremely bland visuals and middling action. A big swing and a miss.

Everyone knows I love Alice Otsu. She's actually one of the best when it comes to anal. She's such a trooper and really makes the most of it. The combination of anal and cosplay sounded intriguing but it really was a huge letdown in several ways. One major issue is the wardrobe. Now I don't mind the outfits themselves. In fact, many of them are pretty sexy. I really liked the form fitting onesie from the first scene. And the see through maid outfit in the last scene isn't too bad either. The problem is that she stays completely clothed for both sex scenes. You can sorta see her tits at the end but not entirely.

She does actually show off her tits at some points...in the non sex scenes. Yes it makes zero fucking sense. There is a 70-minute interval in-between the sex scenes consisting of just some anal toy use and masturbation play. We can enjoy her chest in all it's glory there but that's it. Who decided on this? That's my other hang up is that the middle of the film is a complete drag. It's the same issue I have with all anal films. They always insist on these types of scenes and they're utterly boring making for a complete waste of time. It's a shame because the sex scenes aren't that bad with some decent DP action in the last scene. I was really hoping this could be an anal film to buck the trend of disappointments but sadly not.
