Timing and Translation by ZENRA

Spring is here! OK, it's not but in a way, it kind of feels like it. A time for renewal, a time for throwbacks, a time to dig deep into the past and see what turns up. Where some may unearth churches from the Justinian era of the Eastern Roman Empire, we at ZENRA head to the forests of eastern Tochigi Prefecture and see what random old JAV we can find--and we discovered some! And here if one does not count the slightly odd-ball of a seventh iteration as part of the proper series as it was most likely shot by a different crew with a different set of actors, today sees the conclusion of an almost too long seven year (!) hiatus in between the last 'proper' movie in HOT ENTERTAINMENTS's popular series all about real friends having sex while one watches (and sometimes gets in on it herself!) aptly titled HAVING SEX WHILE MY FRIEND WATCHES.

It's almost clockwork where somewhere in the review--here, perhaps--where I note that given this is a series and one that's very developed, there is not much in terms innovations. Justinian merged clerical and Roman law, all we got are a new batch of sex toys and some new faces to use them on. That partly may be why it eventually ended: fans get bored and something something invading Gauls but is this a review for a JAV movie or historical commentary? But is that really the case--for either? Can someone get bored with such a unique theme? Even though the setup may be quite contrived and at times downright unbelievable (magazine interview and minutes later the host is bottomless spreading her lips with almost no surprise from the friends?!), seeing how these encounters unfold remains a bona fide riot. In today's update, the eighth---and yes, there are more coming--we get four scenes running just under two hours. While this is not a 'golden age JAV' movie, I salute the editing as nowadays this concept would net a 5 hour movie that sounds great on paper, but probably would have too much of just about everything making for skip city. Here, rapid fire with perhaps the only weakness being the progression from interview to sex where not even five minutes of talking could have expanded to ten or more with the dialog gradually going from fashion to sex and then to outright sex insanity as only JAV can do.

Each scene sees a pair of friends, our host played by a perfectly thick and outgoing KURARA IIJIMA (remember her? I don't, but now I want to!), a trio of familiar actor faces for any HOT fan and two friends who in some of the encounters such as the first two feature what could very well be JAV stars 'playing' friends given their resemblances to actresses (wink-wink, as they say. Scripted?! It just may be!). The progression of scenes themselves may be fast, but over the entire movie I'm happy that KURARA in a way gradually becomes more naked, more exposed, and more horny with her finally--FINALLY--getting to have wild sex while two friends watch in the final scene. That the friends per performing don't do much beyond oral can be disregarded due to how well KURARA gets in on the action.

To be honest, I'm happy we are showing more from this series, but this is not my favorite of the ones on our site at the moment (that would be the first for reasons noted in its review). It's far from bad though I say some of the rivalry and chemistry in previous movies just felt weaker here outside of perhaps the third scene (and even there once sex started, it got almost too quiet among the friends). KURARA, conversely, may be the best female host of this series and I sure hope we see more of her again soon be it in other updates from this series or other movies from an era long gone, but still awaiting our subtitle treatment.
