JAV Sales Report - March 2025

Welcome to the March sales report. As always, let's go see what was making waves.

This month shows something pretty crazy with most of the SOD roster doing extremely well. Often we only see Yotsuha doing well, but this month has Riko, Mana, Rei, Minamo, Momona, Hikari, and Suzu all in the top 25. Typically we see them doing a little less well than you would think because SOD has their own distribution platform. I don’t know what kind of major sale DMM had this month to spur it, or maybe SOD’s website was down or something, that’s all I can think of that would cause everyone to do well. I get Yotsuha and Riko doing well with their release that I spoke about last month, maybe even Rei and Suzu with theirs that I will comment on a bit later, but everyone else, these don’t strike me as anything special to spark this kind of success.

Suzume Mino is up a lot of spots and I’m not entirely sure why. What I can say is that this video does look quite nice. I’ve always enjoyed this “across the hallway” video where you share a window with a hot milf. It’s one of those “my husband neglects me” type situations but with an added teasing dimension that you don’t see elsewhere. I’ve enjoyed enough of them from Madonna and others over the years that if you’re a Suzume fan this is probably quite nice.

Haru Minato has easily been the most frustrating actress for me the past couple of years. She goes in and out of filming like it’s nobody’s business and it’s really annoying as a fan. I get it, there are other things to do, but surely one video a month isn’t that bad, right? I’ve found the work and makeup she has lately to be quite off, and any social media images you see are so touched up that it might as well be a different person. But those boobs - those boobs can’t be touched up. They’re so incredible and they alone keep me coming back. I just really hope we get some small amount of consistency out of her.

Akari often does quite well though Fitch has been a bit hit or miss in my mind. Recent videos have kind of been all over the place, especially one of Akari’s most recent ones. Her alongside Ran Kikuno in a VR strikes me as a nice little bonus. Personally I’m team Akari, something easy for me to see when looking at them side by side, but I won’t blame anyone picking Ran as they do pair up quite nicely. Will we ever see Ran up top? This seems to have been enough to bump Akari into the top 25, but Ran is still off the top 100 even (though she is 76th on Bookmate).

Rika Tsubaki has really been having a career resurgence lately. She seems to be everywhere these days, whether it’s starring in a famous series or VR or just pumping out videos non-stop. Riko has also always filled a niche I don’t see many people talking about, which is a younger, busty gal. She isn’t quite super heavy into the gal spectrum like an Alice Otsu, and comes across more like say Mayuki Ito, who has a bit of it but not too much. Rika is obviously younger and bustier than Mayuki, and it seems people prefer Mayuki. Or at least, maybe they did, because Rika is really doing well for herself. I don’t claim to be the biggest Rika fan but honestly as someone who watches a lot of JAV, it feels like you kind of have to check her out at this point.

Miu is often a filler type actress, the kind that’s starring in group films and ready to show up when you need her to. Other times she gets really great opportunities to showcase herself, like this one alongside Hana Himesaki in Hana’s first lesbian film. It’s obvious this is a slam dunk of a video even if maybe it’ll be a bit bland. I don’t expect Hana to look like a seasoned lesbian pro but her unban is definitely something that will attract a lot of heads. I just hope we can get some great things down the line.

Top of porno star is right with this one because holy what a cast this is. It’s got the big three big titty at S1 in Momoka, Yu, and Ren, along with many others like Miyu, Ai Hongo, and the queen of S1 herself Saika Kawakita. It’s exciting to see the industry return to pre-covid norms with mega films like this, a 9 actress film is pretty good. It kind of pains me a bit to see someone like Haru not joining in these because it makes me have to accept she’s the bottom barrel of the big titty actresses there. Regardless, it’s quite the cast and I didn’t think we would continue to get these, and I’m hopeful we’ll get one eventually that has only actresses I like.

Rei and Suzu teaming up is a great film and I think these photos give you a bit of insight into why. Honestly, I just wanted an opportunity to post these images, because I’ll be damned if they aren’t very interesting. It’s like a SFW and NSFW set of photos, for the same video, with two slightly different product codes using one each. We focus so much on the video or the actresses but honestly, I always love to give appreciation to SOD for the work they do in the promo pics. They blow every other studio out of the water - it’s not close. But also, take a second and just marvel at the film that is Rei and Suzu because you’re not likely to see something like this from them for a long time.

Debut Yuka Niizuna is doing extremely well for herself. Makes me wonder if these barely MILF yet busty actresses are where it’s at. She’s listed at 31 with 90H boobs which is pretty close to ideal for me. They can always be bustier, sure, but something above 90G on a MILF is good with me, and at that point something like her being prettier (which damn, she looks quite pretty) is more important. I’m not sure I’m as excited as everyone else is but I think there’s a very high probability you’ll see a review of Yuka from me at the end of the year.

Speaking of debuts, Noa Araki from S1 is also seeing a lot of success. Feels like the duality of fans here since Noa is not nearly as busty (84E) and a lot younger at just 20 years old, but she’s doing almost as well as Yuka. I know what my preference is, and honestly I feel like I know what S1’s preference is. I think most of us are only talking about the omega busty ones because of how much they stand out, but remember that S1’s roster is nearly as big as Madonna’s and filled with many actresses just like Noa. There’s an obvious debut buff from her but we’ll have to check back in a few months to see if it was an actual debut buff or she’s got a little something there.

I’ve been talking a lot to friends about how juicy Yui Hatano (波多野結衣) has been looking these days and these photos from a release in March emphasize that perfectly. Her boobs, her ass, and I will promise you there’s no touch ups as I’ve seen this film and can attest to it. Is she a little heavier? Sure, but not enough to make anyone upset while adding a ton to her ass and tits. It’s been fantastic watching and I think I’m not the only one excited given how Yui is rising up the rankings again. Her score line this month is 5/5/7 which is absolutely insane. Sure, Kanna Seto might be 1/2/1 but when we’re talking about a 15 year veteran still being a fairly comfortable top 10, that’s very impressive.

It’s pretty convenient that we have Iyo Shinohara (篠原いよ) and Sayaka (紗弥佳) beside each other this month because it paints a pretty interesting picture. On the one hand, they stack up fairly similarly. Both are busty milfs with similarly sized boobs and slim figures. Iyo strikes more as this homely milf who will bake you cookies because she loves you, while Sayaka comes off dark and brooding like she’s up to no good. I still find it interesting to see Sayaka is maintaining this mysterious look while being quite popular and getting films. You don’t tend to see someone make a career look successful without taking off their mask. Will she continue to compete with Iyo? Do fans secretly love it? Will she start fading into obscurity? I feel like Madonna asks her 5x a week if she wants to take it off, I can only hope they will be successful with it.

Fumika Nakayama (中山ふみか) doesn’t really get a ton of the spotlight if I’m being honest. She’s always just sort of there pumping out videos but rarely doing quite this well. She’s obviously got huge boobs but her figure seems to be overshadowed by more recent debuts, either at S1 or even lately at Moodyz. Don’t take that to mean Fumika isn’t nice, I mean who doesn’t want to watch a busty nurse like that? It’s more so that the advent of actresses like Himari, An Anzu, and Mitsuki Momota cause Fumika stocks to drop.

Sakura Miura (水卜さくら) will always remain one of those “I don’t agree but I see it” type actresses. She’s slim and stacked and for a lot of people that tends to be enough. This cover of 12 hour compilation is definitely photoshopped, perhaps even a bit too obviously, but it points out exactly what people are seeing from her. She’s doing well not just on Bookmate but on DMM too and clearly shows how being attractive can trump other things like performing. And it’s not like she’s the first to do so, nor will she be the last.

Julia is one of those fan favourites that will never go away. Which also begs the question of how long she can keep doing the same thing over and over again before people start getting bored. I don’t blame people but Julia is still great and I’m still having a great time. If you want something new though, Wanz will have you covered in May. Yeah maybe a booty hole focused video without actual anal isn’t the thing to be excited about but it is at least different. And, as some people like to remind me, Julia’s bum isn’t as bad as I think it is.

Ao Ebisaki (海老咲あお) has been pretty interesting in my mind as someone who went from an Idea Pocket debut moving to their Attackers sister studio and now being a duo for Attackers and Fitch. I find it very interesting to see when IP moves from IP to Attackers just because it just offers more narrow focus for the actress. Pairing it with a studio that will have more neutral content, like Fitch, is a great idea. I guess I maybe shouldn’t be surprised considering Miu Shiromine went the same way (except she’s at Prestige) and maybe this is kind of a new era we’re going to see with more and more shared exclusives.

Why do Himari covers seem to look the same? Show her topless, downplay her midsection, and make her boobs look incredible. Maybe that last one goes without saying, I don’t think she has to try to make that happen because boobs at Q cup do that all on their own. It’s interesting to see them often being squeezed as if to prop up how incredible that would be. I don’t really care much either way, her boobs do the talking regardless and it’s great to see people starting to appreciate her the way I have been.

Studio crossovers like this are always a big deal so you’ll have to pardon me and everyone else for being excited for this from Marina Shiraishi (白石茉莉奈). Madonna is a great studio but there are certain things they don’t do. Marina has always been fairly curvy and who better than Fitch to get that fill in? Madonna sure as heck won’t and while I do love my dramas there’s a time and place for eye candy like this. I suspect Marina may keep up some of this success with her VR as well, and hopefully some of that success naturally carries over as people are reminded about her.
