Something changed with social media in JAV. Either their managers stopped monitoring them or stopped caring, but they got spicy this year. We get the usual complaints about management, which many actresses have done so loudly and openly. Nanami Kodama, for one, complained about her pay at S1 despite being popular. Interestingly enough, she was ranked 9^th on DMM's first-half rankings but was reduced to a footnote. Then we get into pettier stuff like complaining about commenters or Yuri Adachi saying that her fans better not show up to other girls’ fan events.

Ball is Life for Ibuki Aoi

The most viral moment for JAV social media came when Ibuki Aoi went to an NBA game at the Lakers' home court. The shot of her and Lebron James went viral, with unsuspecting Americans asking what the big deal was with this cute chick. Many search histories got a surprise when people looked her up, after all, Ibuki doesn’t look like a Western pornstar. This wasn’t just some clout-chasing post by Ibuki; she is a legit hoops fan. You can see her personal subaccount and see her talking hoops regularly. Either way, it might’ve gotten her a whole new host of fans, worth the ticket prices.

Saika Continues to Haunt Our Dreams

Saika’s thirsty clip continued to do numbers in 2025 and even got its own meme page. It still gets millions of views every now and then, and I don’t get it. Is it her expression or the power of Saika?

A look is all you need, like Ayane Sezaki’s angry to confused to smiling look in 348NTR-020, which went viral. Something about hot women with hard-to-read expressions gets the algorithm going.

Ichika at School

Ichika got some viral posts in the bag for the year. First was a clip from early on in her career, with her writing in pleasure at class. The second was just her shyly showing her panties. Both posts involve her in schoolgirl uniforms.

Miyu Aizawa’s Arrest

I hope some people didn’t bite the onion too hard with this post and think Miyu Aizawa was actually getting arrested. This behind-the-scenes post was for a series about former female inmates returning to society. Not the only female criminal related to JAV this year who went viral for just being a straight hottie.

How popular are you when a harsh comment hits over 15 million views? That was the case for Kanna Seto when her hyped up Debut film finally came out. I agree with the commenter in that Kanna’s performing wasn’t good in her first film. However, she has since improved since then and even without that has become mega popular. She probably has the last laugh right now.

Some comments are straight hate, but this commenter seemed to genuinely give their thoughts on Rena Miyashita. The post went viral, with Rena even responding before deleting it, saying she doesn’t get much choice in her videos. The exchange was rather polite, and the fan seems like a Rena fan with gripes about her. As another Rena fan, I have to say they are spot on. She’s incredibly beautiful, I think one of the prettiest girls in JAV right now, but her performing is also very dull. I hope this type of discussion can be constructive and not just brushed off as hate comments.

Better to talk about their AV work than their personal life, I say. Sadly, Rena couldn’t escape rabid fans who pieced together her social media to link her to musician Takahashi Umi of the band LUCKY TAPES. On her subaccounts, Rena didn’t confirm or deny the rumors to rumors. Just giving a nonchalant response that she can do whatever she wants. That’s the right way to respond to rumors. Saika Kawakita couldn’t escape either as tabloids reported on her getting chummy with Volleyball player Ran Takahashi.

Taku, the actor known for licking actresses like a golden retriever, took his talents to the US and wasn’t there to sightsee. No, he was there to spread his tongue all over American pornstars as his adventures continued in the States. He bagged some pretty big names like Chloe Surreal, Maya Woulfe, Lilly Bell, and Molly Little. Japan is clearly getting the better deal with the exchange program and getting Melody Marks.

Samoari’s Exit Plan

The light is coming at the end of the tunnel. Director and nipple aficionado, Samoari is announced that he will leave JAV in the next few years to expand beyond Japan.
