EXCLUSIVE: Nanami Kodama Mulls JAV Retirement Over Rude Taxi Driver

It's been a while since we've mentioned Nanami Kodama on this blog.

Readers have been constantly asking, “What the hell happened to Nanami Kodama?”

Recently, her X account was taken down, which left me wondering where she is. It’s a fact that, for the time being, Nanami has deactivated her account.

And, thanks to an industry insider, we happen to have tweets from two of her most emotional episodes before everything disappeared. So let’s take a look at what happened.

A few days ago, Nanami knowingly deleted all of her previous tweets, then she announced that she simply couldn't do it anymore and was giving up on social media.

But there was one particular tweet in the middle of all this that actually caught my attention, and it had to do with some taxi driver. In that tweet, Nanami explained that she's physically quite weak and sometimes has trouble closing a car door properly. On one occasion, she deliberately shut the door a little harder than usual.

Apparently, the taxi driver immediately leaned out and yelled at her, questioning her action. Nanami tried to explain that she's a little frail, which is why she sometimes has trouble closing car doors, and that she'd simply used a little more compel this time. But before she could even finish explaining herself, the driver reportedly called her an ill-mannered woman.

And that really seems to have affected her mentally. In a tweet subsequent to that, Kodama said that after being yelled at, her heart started racing. She compared the feeling to the fear she experienced when her older bro used to hit her when she was a kid.

Nanami narrated the whole ordeal with the taxi driver in a series of tweets before taking them down. She repeatedly wrote, "I can't do it anymore, I'm quitting X"

Now, I obviously can't say that her decision to take down her account boiled down to this one incident, but when you put these tweets together, it's hard not to wonder whether the taxi incident became the final trigger. To be honest, this isn't the first time we've seen something like this.

Not long ago, Nanami also caused quite a stir among her fans when she talked about removing her debut work, back when she was known as Nanami Ogura, and she gave quite a naive reason for taking it down.

She felt that she had been “too fat and ugly” at the time. Naturally, most fans responded by trying to reassure her. “No, you're not ugly at all.”

But, as always, there were also people who took her words literally and decided to pile on her, and Nanami started responding to them one after another.

She called her debut production terrible, said she'd been waiting for it to disappear, promised her fans that she'd never put on again, and even joked about wanting to be reborn as a beautiful white tiger in her next life. Then things became even more uncomfortable. She started quoting posts where people insulted her and repeatedly apologized.

Nanami got so affected by being called 'fat' that she vented her frustration in a series of tweet & ended up taking down her debut JAV.

At that point, I think the problem became pretty obvious.

When most people are trying to encourage you, but your attention keeps getting pulled toward the handful of mean comments is the time one should detox from social media, and she did exactly that.

Maybe stepping away from X really is the best thing for her right now.

Does this mean Nanami’s career is taking its last breath? Hard to tell. There hasn't been a clear announcement about that. So for now, I’d urge readers not to jump to any conclusions.

Her social media account is gone, but what happens with her career remains unanswered. We'll just have to wait and see.

Hopefully, she can take some time away from all the noise and get herself back to a better place.
