And the fascinating thing is, we know the exodus is happening in front of our eyes, but it's not limited to the leftover talents of the AV industry; it’s slowly gaining traction among the cream of JAV talent. Because now the renowned names are ready to leap.

And that’s exactly why veteran male actor Taku Yoshimura’s recent tweet caught so much attention. Honestly, it wasn’t even controversial. If anything, it was how casually he said it that made people pause. “Since the start of this year, I’ve been receiving more requests from doujin creators,” he wrote. “With Fantia, MyFans, and XFans growing rapidly, we may be entering a new era…”

Then he said something that stuck with me: “I will accept any project as long as it complies with the law.” Yes, that was the confirmation doujin producers may have been looking for. Because that didn’t sound like someone treating doujin AV as a temporary side hustle anymore. It sounded… open-minded. Curious, even.

And let’s be honest, Taku Yoshimura is a veteran, and when someone like him starts talking this way publicly, fans notice.

One fan summed it up perfectly: “Even Taku Yoshimura is joining doujin AV now. The times are changing.” And honestly. I think they really are.

We’ve already seen actresses stepping outside the studio system. Established directors like Samoari are experimenting with independent productions. Fan platforms are slowly turning performers into their own distributors, marketers, and business owners all at once.

But ironically, the arrival of bigger mainstream names may also compel the space to mature faster. Because once recognizable faces switch to independently produced JAVs, it may suddenly have more pressure to professionalize itself.

And Taku just dropped a hint.

Moodyz producer Tomoko P went on a rant earlier this month. And honestly, after witnessing what happened this week, I kind of understand her concern.

Just the other day, Tomoko was already warning aspiring actresses about jumping into low-paying doujin productions. She had a simple piece of advice… join a proper agency, debut with established, censored studios, and build a legitimate career instead of chasing quick fame with independent releases.

Fair enough. But then, suddenly, she came back online again. And this time, you could feel the difference in her tone.

“This isn’t even an S1 production. I hate these sleazy bait-and-switch tactics. Don’t look down on S1.”

She was clearly frustrated, and so what exactly pushed her over the edge?

Apparently, a doujin release connected to a particular Akari Momoka crossed the line that Tomoko clearly couldn’t ignore. The project used a slightly tweaked logo, “51 No.1 Style,” and honestly, the resemblance to S1’s branding felt almost absurd.

At first glance, even I had to double-check. The design looked eerily similar.

And immediately, it reminded me of FakeTaxi dupes floating around in the market. Kind of the same idea. Borrow the visual identity people already trust… and let assumptions do the rest.

Except this JAV wasn’t meant to be a parody. It’s marketing at its best

Some fans brushed off the outrage, saying nobody could seriously mistake “51 No.1 Style” for the real S1. But honestly? I think that completely misses the point.

Because this isn’t just some random actress trying to get attention. It’s Akari Momoka.

And if you recall, she has a particular affinity towards S1 because that’s where she originally debuted before retiring. So when a former S1 actress suddenly appears under branding that looks almost identical to the studio she came from… of course, people are going to react.

Honestly, she’s free to do whatever she wants now. Independent JAV under her own production or Doujin releases. Direct-to-fan content. Nobody can stop that.

But using branding that feels this eerily similar? Can’t you let that pass right? And honestly, I don’t even think Tomoko’s anger is really about the logo itself.

Because lately, more actresses have been quietly drifting away from the traditional JAV. Some are moving toward independent creators like FC2, while others are establishing direct fan channels where agencies and studios no longer control the schedules, or even the careers themselves.

At first, it felt small. Now? It’s starting to feel like a shift.

And if actresses realize they can keep more of the profits, own their content, and operate without major studios taking a cut… then the entire balance of the industry suddenly looks unstable.

That’s the real tension here. Not doujin AV. But the possibility that the old system is slowly losing control. And judging from Tomoko P’s reaction, I highly doubt this will be the last clash between mainstream studios… and the new generation trying to break away from them.
