BREAKING: Saika Kawakita Lands TV Gig, Nina Nishimura's Surprise Comeback & Latest Dating Show Starring JAV Stars!

Catch up on the most trending gossip that we had our eyes on in July
Saika Kawakita Lands Mainstream Television Gig, Sparks RETIREMENT Rumors
Assume stuff about me, but I bet I keep a closer eye on JAV's Twitter, more than your ex stalking you on Instagram.
And this time, I bumped into some interesting gossip involving Saika Kawakita. So, ride with me on this one.
For a brief time, Saika has remained radio silent regarding her activities. While her JAVs are releasing as usual, things seem off on the other end.
So naturally, rumors of retirement started bubbling up like sake at a summer festival. Now, before you spiral (I already did that for you), let’s unpack what’s going on behind the scenes.
First off, it's not unheard of for even top-tier actresses to skip a release month. In today’s era, the biggest stars have the leverage to say, “Nope, not this month.” Be it anything, one dry month doesn't equal a crisis. In fact, as someone who's been stalking release calendars like a maniac since the pre-Mikami era, I’ve learned to only worry if someone vanishes for three consecutive months.
So, are things alright with Saika? Well, from what I know, yes. More than okay.
She’s not disappearing into thin air anytime soon. Word on the street (and confirmed by Saika herself) is that Saika is making her debut in mainstream entertainment with a Japanese drama titled "A Letter to Momo" under a different stage name, likely the one she uses for her music. And it’s not some cameo role either, Saika is supposed to play the female lead.
Hear it from the girl herself, "Oh my goodness. I've been confirmed to appear in a terrestrial TV drama. I'll be playing the role of Umino Hiroko, so please look forward to it."
But wait. There’s more.

You may have noticed Saika’s subtle shift in posting lately. No more flaunting those curves; rather, she’s busy filming travel vlogs in Taiwan, casually performing her sets.
Some fans speculate it to be but a steady cover-up, perhaps a soft launch into retirement.
And honestly? I get it. Look at the path forged by her legendary predecessors, Yua Mikami and Asuka Kirara, who transitioned from JAV royalty to building fashion empires and walking PR machines. But what they had before they bowed out were lucrative endorsement deals, massive product lines, and brand collaborations that shouted: “I don’t need porn to pay rent anymore.”
I believe Saika is not quite there yet.
Sure, her Mahjong commercial was cute, and the latest gig she landed is a flex. But compared to the full-blown business empires built by Yua and Kirara, Saika’s post-AV portfolio still lags.
So while some are convinced she’s lining up a dramatic exit, perhaps on the TRE stage, I’m not so sure. As someone who’s seen more retirement rumors fizzle out, I’d say Saika is testing the waters, not jumping off the boat.
And if we’re being honest, who could blame her? The JAV industry is fickle. The mainstream world is brutal. It takes a strong commitment to handle those. She’s navigating a tricky transition, and yes, she’s doing it in her way, so kudos to that!
We’ll update you more on her latest television gig, so watch out for this space shortly.
Abema TV’s Back With Famous Dating Show, Features Four JAV Actresses Looking For Love
Get over Love Island, mate! This exclusive gossip will have you reaching for your wallet to pay for a subscription. Abema TV recently announced the latest season of the much-talked-about dating reality show, Love Hyena, and as is the ritual, the inclusion of JAV actresses is very much real with this one. The lineup will have you losing your minds. Starring four of the most recognizable names from the JAV industry. This season has it all: high stakes, heartbreak, and high-profile drama.
Gracing your screens this season will be Yura Kano, Asaro Kokono, Airi Nagisa, and the recently retired Yuki Takeuchi. Four JAV actresses are locked in a house with men they haven’t met before! If you’ve ever wanted to see JAV actresses try their hand at romance without a script, this is your moment. The casting seems exciting, to say the least!
First off, we’ve Yuki Takeuchi, the eldest and undeniably the most recognizable out of the lot, making her return to the spotlight after announcing her retirement from JAV last year. You might recall that she had exited the industry, claiming her “aspirations had shifted” and she was seeking “new challenges.” Well, turns out that falling in love on national television might be that challenge. And trust me, after the year she’s had, including getting scammed out of millions by a fake tax officer over the phone, Yuki could very well use this as a redemption arc. A show that could give her morale a boost.
Next up, we’ve Yura Kano, whose tweet in response to the show’s announcement gave fans a rare glimpse into her softer, more vulnerable side. “I entered the industry without much experience with men,” she admitted. “I haven’t had the kind of romantic relationships worth talking about. But I want to try facing love properly.” Yes, Yura, we’re all for seeing you transform from a JAV siren to a hopeless romantic. I’m tuning in!
Meanwhile, 22-year-old Asaro Kokono isn't holding back either. She hopped on the bandwagon as well by confessing, “I’ve been cheated on so many times, I’ve lost confidence. I’m tired of always trying to please others… I want someone to see the real me.” While reality dating shows thrive on emotional vulnerability & drama, Kokono might just bring us to tears between the hot tub scenes.
Airi Nagisa, the baby of the group, maybe the least known among her show peers, but her fresh presence could be the wildcard viewers don’t expect. And let’s not forget: when it comes to taking those dating shows off the charts, it’s always the ones you least expect to shake things up.
According to Abema TV, the show will run weekly for four episodes, each episode, presumably packed with emotional mess, a few smooth pickup lines here & there, and maybe even a tearful confession or two. The first episode is free to stream for a limited time, but only for the domestic audience. So for the rest, I’d suggest you get a VPN subscription. Trust me, you won’t want to miss this!

I appreciate how the show makers decided to cast a former JAV actress, it’ll shoot up the ratings! But the question lingers, can stars known for performing intimacy on screen find intimacy in real life, in front of cameras again, but this time without a script or stage direction?
Here's what the most senior actress of the lot, Yuki, had to say: "This is my first time appearing on a love reality show. I never thought I'd be in this position. The two-day, one-night pure love trip went by in the blink of an eye. It was an incredibly intense time. I'm appearing as a woman who wants to fall in pure love, unlike when I'm an actress! After the broadcast, it will be available for free for one week. Please watch it. Even though I say that, I'm so embarrassed that I don't know if I can follow it to the end, but I hope you'll be kind and supportive."
You can also read about the previous iteration of the show that featured some of your favorite JAV actresses like Sumire Mizukawa, Kokomi Naruse, MINAMO, and Riko Hoshino, on a quest to find true love. The show began airing on August 29, 2023, raking in some familiar faces from the JAV industry like Mihiro and Yua Mikami, former JAV icons as mentors. The whole season was shot in the stunning island of Okinawa, and honestly, the show gave off major "Love Island" vibes.
How this season performs, only time (and ratings) will tell. But I, for one, will be glued to the screen.
This JAV Legend Just Made A Surprise Comeback, And Twitter Can't Handle It!
Just when we thought she’d hung up her heels for good, Nina Nishimura has pulled off a comeback no one saw coming, and the JAV Twitter space has gone wild over the news!
On June 30, in a tweet that felt more like a mic drop than a regular tweet, Nina declared that she’s finally, finally back to filming JAVs. That’s right. After a brief hiatus that felt like an eternity, the crowd-puller is returning to the sets!
"I will be returning to filming. Thank you to the manufacturers."
Here’s how the events unfolded: Nina posted the tweet casually saying, “It’s a blessing to be back on set,” and tagging several AV manufacturers while basically putting out an open casting call. She’s still got it. The 37-year-old made it crystal clear that she wasn’t announcing her return; rather, she was inviting offers from all those with whom she had previously worked.
The tweet, which had racked up over 50,000 views at the time of writing, immediately set off a flurry of fan reactions. One follower commented, “I was on edge wondering when you’d suddenly retire. So glad you’re back.” Another wrote with almost comedic relief, “Finally! I thought we’d lost you to real life forever.” Even our in-house staff writer, the ever-enthusiastic ‘love’, dropped a celebratory comment: “Great news! Can’t wait to see more of you in JAV!”
And honestly? Same.

Now, for those just tuning in, let us rewind. Back in February 2025, Nina announced a sudden break from filming, citing health issues and her recent marriage as the reason.
In her own words, “Due to health issues and the resulting inability to receive support, I have decided to indefinitely suspend AV filming… Whether I can return depends on me, so when that time comes… I hope for your support again.”
It was heartfelt. It was mature. It was final… or so we thought.
When Nina announced her break, although understandable, it felt a bit bittersweet. But if this year has taught us anything, it’s that the industry is full of surprises. And honestly, nobody expected this U-turn from Nina, not at least this soon! It’s like watching your favorite soccer team making a comeback in the 90th minute.
Of course, there’s a layer of intrigue here. What changed between February and now? Was it just the undeniable pull of the spotlight? Because let’s face it: once you’ve built an army of devoted fans, walking away isn’t as easy as turning off the camera.
Now that she’s back, it remains to be seen which studio she affiliates herself with going forward. Let us know your guesses in the comments below.
So what does this mean for her fans? Expect the unreleased works Nina mentioned back in February to drop soon, likely followed by new, hotly anticipated releases. Production houses will no doubt be circling her inbox like paparazzi on payday.
As for me? I’ll be keeping a close eye, and you should too by following her on X And something tells me, this comeback is just the beginning.
FALENO's Tsukimi Wakaba Takes An Early Exit From JAV
Moving on, the latest to give us a shock retirement is Tsukimi Wakaba. Yes, the soft-spoken siren who first burst onto the scene with FALENO in March 2024, announced on X that she’s calling it quits.
In the late hours of July 3, Tsukimi Wakaba revealed she would be stepping away from the JAV industry at the end of this month, with an immediate halt in all future activities. And just like that, we’ve another rising star from the industry fading into the sunset.
But right now, you don’t need to bother, as per industry tradition, she’ll still be gracing our screens for a while longer. As she noted in her farewell tweet, the unreleased works she’s already filmed will continue coming out until fall or winter. This girl is the real deal for taking care of her fans! "I think the works will be released around winter, so I would be happy if you would watch until the end!"
Here’s what she had to say in her parting note: “I will retire from AV at the end of July. I have been supported by everyone for about a year and a half since my debut, and about two years since filming. I am grateful to everyone who has worked with me. Thank you so much for taking so many photos of Tsukimi Wakaba… Everything from now on has already been decided and is moving forward! I wish you all happiness in your lives and mine too!!”
The girl had all the gratitude in her heart for her peers, and it’s evident through her tweet.

— 月見若葉 (@otsukimi_wakaba) July 3, 2025
Now, let us rewind back to her heyday. Tsukimi entered the scene under FALENO’s banner. But she didn’t stretch her stay with the studio, unlike some. Like many ambitious 20-year-olds, she too freelanced her way through the industry, filming with a variety of studios and genres, proving she had range beyond her demure looks and busty appeal.
And speaking of which, her latest JAV is set to hit the market before her retirement announcement, on June 30, with studio MAZA. A classic NTR plotline, the film casts her as a voluptuous housewife caught in a storm of temptation. You love to see someone like Yuki in such scenarios.
Now is also a good time for those who are scrambling to grab her past titles before they become collector’s gold.
For now, Tsukimi doesn’t raise much alarm, but this is JAV we’re talking about, and sudden exits rarely stay quiet for long. Will she reappear under another name next year? Perhaps launch a Fansly account shortly. Who knows!?
What’s certain is this: Tsukimi’s presence, although short-lived, was significant, and now she’s slipping out the side door while we’re all still catching our breath. Whatever she does next, I hope she keeps the fans posted. Stay tuned to her X handle for future updates.
