Man, I loved Nanami Kawakami so much when she was active. Yes, she overacted at times, but she was a genuinely tremendous performer and incredibly sexy from the start of her career right to the very end. In fact she just got better and more beautiful with time. She definitely had a few more years of greatness in her. Thank you for honouring her with this series. She may not have been the top of the bunch at any time, but she was a legend nonetheless and her career deserves respect and to be remembered for as long as JAV is around.
There’s no underestimating how incredibly hot Kana was during her first few years at Ideapocket. That bristling bush and enthusiasm, not to mention a seemingly genuine love of sex, left a permanent impression on me. It’s too bad she altered her appearance so drastically over the years and lost so much weight. I think success and having to live up to others’ expectations exacted a tole on her. Nevertheless, she’s an all time legend: at her peak, one of the cutest and most alluring there’s ever been.
I think Kanna Seto’s incredible debut success is down to a few very obvious factors: She’s incredibly cute in an approachable way, while physically being a knockout: big breasted AND tall, fair skinned, and tremendous body shape; She radiates friendliness and uncomplicatedness; She’s totally unselfconscious while naked; Her facial expressions - especially while having sex - are mesmerising; she actually looks like she’s in the moment; And she’s an expert social media marketer and communicator. She’s the real deal and while I doubt we’ll see a classy renaissance woman like Yua Mikami ever again, Kanna is almost the perfect Gen Z usurper to Yua.
Saika has been doing some phenomenal drama titles recently. I hope we have her in AV for a long time still. Once these legends retire, there’s no filling the gap. Yua Mikami and Minami Aizawa are still desperately missed.
