June Lovejoy Finally Makes Her Retirement Official, After Months Of Rumors

Perhaps one of the biggest headlines to hit this January is that of June Lovejoy calling it a day to her magnificent career. I bet with a few fans might’ve missed out on her discreet announcement that slipped out on January 13th. But even June may not have thought that she was about to take a leap of faith, a suitcase, and absolutely no idea what would come next.

“Six years. It seems long, but it’s gone by so quickly!” she wrote, almost laughing at the absurdity of how quickly it passed. And she’s right, six years in JAV can feel almost like a lifetime. Careers are made, burned, and forgotten in half that span. The fact that she lasted this long as a gaijin and left on her own terms already sets her apart.

What will strike you the most isn’t the farewell; it was the origin story tucked inside it. “When I came to Japan, I started with no idea,” she admitted, and that line alone tells you everything. Just a foreign country, a risky industry, and a willingness to walk straight into the unknown. She didn’t romanticize it either. “I experienced everything in this world: anxiety, uncertainty, and joy.” Notice how she mentioned joy at last.

At least she’s honest about the grind. “It wasn’t an easy path,” she said plainly, no emojis to soften the blow. And yet, she stayed. Not because it was comfortable, but because something or someone kept her grounded. “Thanks to the people I met here and the fans who supported me, I was able to persevere until the end.” And just like that, June persevered.

That word matters.

Honestly, I saw it coming. It was almost evident that she was about to exit with the multiple hints that she had been dropping in the past. Her gratitude is expansive, almost restless. “To everyone who supported me, who watched my work, and everyone involved in creating it with me on set, thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

And then she puts it outright, “I’m retiring from the JAV industry!” without much thought. What follows feels less like a farewell speech and more like a toast raised with tired hands. “Thank you for the wild six years!” and anyone who’s followed her career knows exactly what she meant.

What I love most is that she refuses to frame retirement as disappearance. This isn’t a retreat into silence or obscurity, she’ll use these days as a pivot to better oppurtunities “Here’s to more love & joy-filled days after my retirement~” she wrote. And then, because she’s nothing if not consistent, she circles back once more to the people who walked with her through it. “Thanks for supporting me for these past six years~ xoxo.”

And just like that june’s half-decade-long career comes to a halt.

Six years ago, she arrived with no idea what awaited her. Six years later, she’s leaving with clarity, and that might be the most positive thing to come out of this. In an industry built on excess and noise, June Lovejoy exits quietly, gratefully, and whole. And somehow, that makes the goodbye echo even louder.

Natsume Hibiki Drops Hints Of A 'Final JAV' Before Summer Comes To Close

SODStar’s poster girl, Natsume Hibiki, who starred in more than a couple of dozen JAVs after having debuted with the studio, had put out an announcement earlier that was so intimate it reads less like a press release and more like a private confession that somehow slipped into her SNS.

Nanami addressed her fans, “Thank you for your continued support. I have an important announcement to make,” before dropping what many fans couldn’t expect: “In the summer of 2026, I will be retiring from my career as an adult video actress.”

For the unversed, the countdown has already started.

By the time she discussed her milestones, “Last year marked my fifth anniversary, and this spring will mark my sixth. It’s been a very fulfilling time”, one could sense her words lingering. “As I write this, my mind is filled with memories of the many times we’ve shared together. They’re all miracles and treasures,” she reflected upon her past.

Then she happened to say something that had me reflect on it for a while, “For me, being an adult video actress was a moratorium,” as she chose to pause for a moment. What begins inevitably has an end… I often feel lonely about making this decision,” and asks her fans not for approval, but understanding. Just as they welcomed her at her debut, she hopes they’ll accept her farewell the same way.

Natsume posted a lengthy reitrement tweet on X

By the end of her announcement, Nanami almost inevitably turned philosophical: “It was fate that you and I met. There must be meaning, not a lecture,” and I bet she wanted her fans to feel what she said. “True destiny doesn’t come around very often in a lifetime. Making the right choice at the right time… is steering your own life.”

“The key… is not the results, but the determination to take responsibility for yourself.” And she’s doing exactly that, even as she admits she hopes quietly, honestly, that this decision is the right one. “Until the day of my final moments, I can smile and say that this life has been quite interesting.”

But don’t mistake this announcement for a retreat into silence. It’s far from it. Filming for her retirement JAV has already begun. “Filming for my retirement film as an AV actress is just beginning,” and she plans to be very present until the end. Again, there will be many monthly chances to meet her. Ongoing talks with SOD and her production company. And a promise that some plans will be “a bit quirky.” Consider that a tease, not a warning.

“My life is not over,” she insists. “I’ve simply decided to put an end to my career as an AV actress.” The future remains undecided, but the affection from her fans remains unwavering. “To all my loved ones… please support me until the end of my AV career. I love you forever.”

Some exits slam doors. This one leaves the lights on, the calendar marked, and the feeling that every remaining moment will matter just a little more.

Recently a number of US states and a few countries of note have enacted age verification requirements for adult sites. On the US front at least, legal experts both within and outside of our industry do not believe any will pass a constitutional test. However, since these laws currently are on the books and thus have the ability to be enforced, we are choosing to comply with them at this point in time.

ZENRA uses Bluecheck.me, a third party verification service, to perform this important task easy to install filtering software does infinitely better.

Information used in the verification process is not stored on our servers. Phone number and address verification is instant and uses database cross referencing (no calls, no SMS messages, nothing mailed to the address). ID verification takes about one minute and is performed 'blind' on Bluecheck's side where the ID is reviewed by someone unaware of what service the submitter is attempting to access.

Regardless of what method you choose, it costs you nothing, but does increase the cost of our operations in order to somehow make the internet a 'safer' place.
