TRE 2025: The Biggest JAV Convention Comes Back
What is TRE?
TRE is a massive convention that takes place in Taipei, where the biggest and brightest stars in JAV come to meet their overseas fans. Since coming back after the pandemic, the convention has grown larger than ever and is arguably the largest event in the industry now. In Japan, actresses and agencies will run smaller and numerous events, but this overseas event bundles them all together. Its rising popularity has led to even more events abroad in the greater Asian region.
The convention is essentially just a massive fan meet. A place where you can meet your favorite AV actresses, take photos, buy merch, and get signed merch. They run small events and silly skits on stage. For Taiwanese fans and other fans from nearby areas, it’s the one time a year when their favorite actresses come by.
Everyone is here
Anyone who is anybody came to the big show as all the big players sent their girls to the show. On stage, we can see studios like S1, Idea Pocket, Moodyz, Prestige, SOD, and more represented with big stars like Saika Kawakita, Momo Sakura, Mia Nanasawa, Mio Ishikawa, Remu Suzumori, Rei Kamiki, and Mayuki Itou. While rising stars like Kanna Seto, Mitsuri Nagahama, Mitsuba Ashitaba, Kiho Kanematsu, and Yu Tano came along.

The vets came to play too, like Meguri, Alice Nanase, Hinako Mori, Waka Misono, and Suzu Honjo. Well, most of the biggest names because some skipped out on this year, and others have yet to make their appearance. With the way the show has been shaping up, it has become a highly desirable slot for an actress to book.
Kanna Seto is a Hit
Does Kanna Seto just put up pretty numbers? Is S1 just inflating her popularity? Those reservations clear away when you see the crowd reaction and lines for her events. She is a bona fide superstar and looked so natural her first time on stage for such a big event. As I’ve said before, her rise to stardom has been pretty nutty and unprecedented. I don’t know what the special sauce is for success, but Kanna’s got the sauce.

Saika Kawakita’s World
Kanna Seto might be nipping at her heels, but Saika Kawakita once again proved to be the biggest attraction of the show. The biggest reactions and crowds swarmed Saika as she proved once again that she’s the biggest star in JAV today. So popular that fans have begun doom-posting about her impending retirement because of how popular she has become outside of JAV.

Off the Main Stage
Not everyone made it to the main stage and had to settle for a side booth. Actresses like Ichika Matsumoto, Mizuki Yayoi, and Nozomi Arimura settled for a smaller stage for their own space. Kurea Hasumi made an appearance in her own booth as she prepares for her comeback to porn.
Not just JAV
While the main organizers of TRE invited a host of JAV actresses, there are loads of other players at the conventions. Taiwan’s own adult industry, TAV (Taiwanese Adult Video), came out to show. As did Korea’s budding industry (KAV), Amateur performers, Gravure Models from all over, and more.
SOD’s Taiwanese Debut
Speaking of TAV, it seems one studio is finally trying to pander to that market. SOD unveiled Saisai Itsuki, a new Taiwanese debut to hype up, even enlisting JAV actor and legend Genjin Moribayashi. It’s always been a small mystery to me as to why JAV doesn’t try to recruit more talent from neighboring regions such as Korea, Vietnam, or China, but SOD seems to be answering that call. With the rise of TAV and the fact that it’s uncensored, I think it can become a real competitor against JAV in the Asian porn market. So perhaps we are seeing JAV’s first response to a growing competition.

And so closes another TRE. It's pretty fun watching all the biggest names in JAV come together for what is basically a huge fan event. It has become an event that fans from all over, not just Taiwan, want to go to because of the sheer number of stars attending. Now onto TRE 2026.
