Oppaira's 2025 JAV Debut Roundup

Hey guys, welcome to another edition of the yearly roundup of debuts. How do people feel about 2025? Now that I've done this a few times I wonder if we could do a bingo for debuts? S1 snags a super busty debut? A debut I review retires before the end of the year? I watch a debut from December? Sure, a bunch like this I could predict. But Madonna getting an N cup debut? A debut that always wears a mask? Might be interesting to play a game like that. A -> S

Let’s face it, Kanna Seto is the biggest star. While she’s not the prettiest or the bustiest or even the best performer she does a lot of things right. There’s something about the way she maintains eye contact that makes her come across more attractive, and I find myself actually liking her face more and more as I watch her. I would be surprised if she wasn’t competing with the best debuts of this year or competing with S tier from last year.

Hinami strikes me as someone who just doesn’t have the goods to continue. Her career looks more and more depressing every time I look, like barely even getting solo videos now. I pretty much never watch these random group videos so if that’s where her career is going then just the same I don’t care to watch her.

Hikari Ogura hasn’t had a release since November, missing two cycles now. There’s no social media to reassure me otherwise and E-Body has a terrible track record with debuts, where you’re either S tier or might as well be F tier. Not quite so sure Hikari is gone as two cycles is quite early to call a debut gone, but it’s not looking good for her.

Kazuha has been gone since September, not looking good. Worse, she’s released in only 4 months of the 11 since she has debuted. Really don’t expect her to come back with her Twitter being nuked as well.

Like Kazuha, Umika Minamisawa’s Twitter is also gone. She still has videos coming out but I’m fully expecting her to retire any month now. Will S1 even bother putting up a retirement label on the cover? Maybe not but I don’t see anything positive from her.

Nano Ogasawara was in my mind the prettiest debut. She just had this cute, charming look to her that made me want to watch her more. It’s kind of crazy that SOD has quite a number of the prettiest actresses despite their roster being on the smaller side compared to Madonna and S1. What’s even crazier is the fact that they manage to find the ones that aren’t mature that i like given my preferences. Nano isn’t quite the level of other SOD debuts like Rei or Suzu yet but who knows, I do tend to prefer more mature women and I also do tend to have actresses grow on me.

Yuka Niizuma came in second for me. While I think Nano is a full step above her I quite liked Yuka’s face. There’s just something about her being slightly milfy but not quite and those big eyes that she has. She has this really soft look to her that feels very inviting. She calls herself fox-faced and I can kind of see it, and I think it just goes over really well.

Would you be surprised if I told you Ako Kimura had my favourite tits? Probably not one bit. I mean damn those things were big and you know me. I’m maybe not quite as big on pepperoni nips as everyone else is but at some point size plays such a strong role in how much I enjoy boobs. More than just the size though they do have a good shape to them and seem very full despite their size (perhaps even too full but that’s a conversation for another day).

My runner up for favourite tits is actually going to Kanna Seto instead of Momose Jogasaki. Kanna’s have really grown on me since I first watched her. They’re sized reasonably big at the 100J mark so the size is not an issue, even for someone like me. The shape is quite nice, they have enough firmness to look excellent when she’s upright but enough give to let them bounce and jiggle. That’s on top of her having nice pink nipples/areola, and ones that nice are a rarity. Maybe most people would be aligned with Kanna’s being nicer than Ako’s so maybe take it with a grain of salt knowing who is posting.

Ran Aoi had my favourite ass. Plain and simple I like big butts but you rarely tend to see big butts quite this nice. I find in JAV a lot of bigger butts just tend to be on bigger women without the nice qualities Ran’s had. It jiggled exactly how you want but didn’t just feel big, it felt shapely. A really nice ass that I would honestly watch another video for just to see that bum.

Second place was Yuki Kanoha. The size, the thighs, just a lot of lovely qualities. I tend to be bigger on juicier butts than I am on toned butts so there’s definitely a world where you can be toned to a point I start seeing it as a bit of a negative. Yuki struck me as being right on that line and I think with Madonna it will be interesting to see how they take it. Will they give us some dedicated ass films? Will seeing her ass in whatever dramas be good enough? I find myself quite willing to watch random Madonna videos of say Nao Jinguji and just enjoy her ass as it comes up, and maybe Yuki has that same strength to her.

Kana Aoba has the nicest body and it’s hard to argue. Athletic fit like her is such an unusual body type and damn did it look good. Thicc thighs save lives is the name of the game and honestly I’m drawing blanks finding anyone with thighs as nice as hers. I might be afraid to fuck her thighs when they would crush me but they’re so nice I might take my chances.

My runner up for best body is Yuki Kanoha, perhaps just edging out Soa. Like Kana, Yuki had some incredible thighs as well. Not quite the professional cycler kind that would crush me but the kind that would make you try a few unusual positions just to be able to get a better view of them.

Marina Momono’s video was the best. Part of that was certainly some performing skills by her, being able to keep her voice down and being able to deepthroat as well. That whole apathetic style she had just suited the video nicely. Speaking of which the video’s concept was quite nice. I find if it’s not office lady then it’s konbini and if it’s not that then it’s nothing at all. The idea of a warehouse worker like her goes really hard especially when you get a narrative that isn’t just your standard NTR or whatever. It legitimately felt different and when coupled with some good variety and outfits and all of that the end result was very nice.

Yuka Niizuma’s video was the runner up. It was this quaint little story of a married guy spending his bonus on incalls to Yuka instead of on his pregnant wife. Maybe that trope of “my pregnant wife won’t let me hit” is a little overplayed but at the same time this felt quite a bit different from it when it was mostly out of the picture. The video instead felt like him and Yuka sort of falling for each other knowing it was only going to be fleeting. Maybe she was just putting on the act because it was her job to, maybe he was trying to make the most of his last few moments before the storm, but either way the video really did a good job of seeing that plot through, especially as Yuka opened up and the intimacy went into overdrive.

Fumika struck me as the best performer hands down. It felt like it wasn’t her first rodeo, she was way too comfortable for that. The way she would kiss super deep and sloppy was incredible among other things like her deepthroating and squirting. It really sucks to see her at Center Village because she has so much more potential, but maybe her acting is good enough to get CV out of their comfort zone a little bit.

I found Yuka Chiba to be my second favourite performer. Yuka felt like a younger Fumika, not quite as experienced but with some clear skill in all the same areas. Some squirting, some good deepthroating, and a penchant for kissing like few others. Yes, her moaning wasn’t great, but I feel like that’s an easier thing to fix than learning how to deepthroat and squirt. Could have been better, and there’s a reason she’s not #1, but she certainly impressed.

Kanna Seto is definitely the most likely to succeed, and anyone saying otherwise is living in denial. She basically became the face of the industry overnight and it’s absolutely insane to think how she has been doing. I hope she didn’t sign a long contract cause she can basically ask for the world at this point. I think at this point the sky is the limit for her and it really begs a question about what she wants to do. Does she want to stay at S1 and coast with her fat stacks? Does she want to go to SOD and do some creampies? Moodyz and do some Bako Bus Tour videos? Or maybe she’ll become a freelancer? Okay I seriously doubt that last one but Kanna is living the dream and no doubt about it is on top of the industry.

Ako Kimura is my runner up for most likely to succeed. It’s not that she has the huge boobs, I mean yeah they are huge, but that’s not why. Go look at her social media and tell me you don’t believe in her. Photos and videos of her lounging around as well as behind the scenes. The little cute おはあこor おつあこ (あこ = Ako) greetings she does. I mean sure, say it’s from her manager or whatever, but whomever is running it deserves a raise.

Fumika Kashiwagi is my most disappointing actress. I expected far more out of her, what we got was just the generic E-Body debuts that we always seem to get. The kind where she’s not quite what you expected, cleaned up a bit by Photoshop to get suckers like me to watch. That's on top of her just being at E-Bod where I have very little faith in anything meaningful coming of it.

Hono Watanabe was my second most disappointing actress. I know not every busty debut for S1 is going to be good but I expected way more. Maybe I read too much into some hype about her actually having huge boobs because they seemed nowhere near as nice as I expected them to be.

My runner up for second least likely is Hinami Fujimori. When it comes to lower tier actresses you really have to think about what might actually get you to watch them. Is there something unique about them? Is there potential for more? I ranked Fumika Kashiwagi lower but she’s going decently strong at E-Body and I could see her transferring somewhere. Hono Watanabe seems very underwhelming but there’s always a possibility of a duo or group video at S1. Or Hikari Ogura seems like she might be retired but there’s at least a Noa Haruna duo that maybe I could peep. When I look at Hinami Fujimori she’s barely even getting videos at this point. Her strength was her height but that doesn’t really seem like enough to me. I’ve seen other tall actresses, hell I know Ichika Seta did a handful of videos where they premised it explicitly around her height. Those didn’t really do well enough with me to think the height is enough of a premise, so I just don’t really see much likelihood. She’d have to get a video premised on height + something else when her stocks are this low, I just don’t see it happening.

Ako Kimura is my most likely to watch again. What can I say, these omega busty S1 actresses always do well for me and each of the last few like Hari Minami, Momoka Kagura, and Yu Tano have done well. I don’t think anything will change with Ako, I’ll watch her a bunch, I’ll enjoy her, things will go well. She already has some videos that look interesting enough to watch and we’ll see how things go.

Kanna Seto is my second most likely to watch again. Let’s face it, she’s the face of the industry right now for a good reason. There’s something about her performing with that level of eye contact and I really want to see how a couple of different types of performances hold up in the face of it. There’s only one way to find out, and while she seems to generally be doing random generic videos, there’s at least some things

An Anzu seems like the biggest dark horse out there. She’s got a bunch of good qualities and strikes me as someone who could overperform by quite a bit. Sometimes a bit of charm can go a long way, and perhaps An got a bit of a short stick from her not standing out particularly strongly. Moodyz can be hit or miss but I’m starting to see some videos that look interesting at least and who knows where she can go from here.

Rui Shido is my second dark horse pick. I put her lower partially because I gave her an A ranking, but I think there’s some small potential for her to ultimately be an S rank debut. That is to say, in a year or two she might be one of the 2025 debuts I’m watching the most. She had some of the best stats out, the only one to get a 5/5 ass and tits score from me, and S1 is a good studio. Time will tell if she starts getting proper videos but they seem to be finding simple dramas based on her being a gravure idol. Maybe that’s enough? It’s certainly better than the bland stuff S1 typically produces so here’s hoping.

Once again I felt quite good about the list of debuts I watched. One commenter pointed out that I probably watch more than just the good ones as there's not really that many good ones. They're probably right given there aren't as S and A ranked debuts. But I generally see myself missing fewer debuts and not being so worried about it. I feel like most of them are late year debuts where they might be good but the bar for one or two months in the industry is rather high. I'd watch an Ako Kimura debut in December but would I watch the others listed above? I watched Yuki Kanoha but the others I passed, noting that I will come back in the middle of this year anyway.

Woah, a graph? Yeah, sue me. But one thing I got interested in was to see if there's any value in watching earlier debuts, among a few other things for analysis. One of the strongest hypothesis I would have had was that the earlier the debut the more likely they are to get an S ranking. I would expect that because longer in the industry, more time to produce a good video and get some experience, seems straightforward. Turns out it's only a very weak correlation, both in 2025 and in general of all the years I've been doing this on ZENRA. The only thing that seemed to have a strong correlations that later months tend to have more middle of the road ratings. I can make sense of that by virtue of them being new, not really having a good grasp on potential, and giving them the benefit of the doubt in some places.

tl;dr - Watching earlier debuts has no meaningful contribution to my rating, and I have a tendency to rate late debuts more neutrally given there's less confidence from less data.

2025 feels like yet another good year. I feel like these days we don't have bad years. It's easy to get things I quite like, such as a good busty S1 debut or two, a nice Madonna debut or two, a couple of good all-around type actresses. Yes, lots of actresses who I don't have a ton of faith in, but ultimately I don't need everyone to shine. In fact, everyone shining would probably be a problem for me because there would be too many to keep up with.
