Rika Aimi To Spearhead DAHLIA's Next Generation Of JAVs
Wait a second... what?! I honestly didn't see this one coming.
If you've been following industry news lately, you've probably already heard that DAHLIA, the mature-actress label under the Faleno Group, recently declared that a "revolution" was coming. Naturally, that had fans talking.
As it turns out, the answer seems pretty straightforward. DAHLIA appears to be leaning further into story-driven JAVs, particularly the dramatic relationship narratives that have traditionally performed well in the mature-actress JAV genre.
And to pull that off, they needed a new face, or more accurately, a familiar one. That's where Rika Aimi enters the picture.
DAHLIA has officially announced her as its newest exclusive actress, prompting fans to flood her with congrats in the comments section. But I have to admit, the announcement surprised me.

この度DAHLIAさん専属女優となりました🙌🏻

Not because Rika lacks the credentials, rather it is quite the opposite. After all, she debuted back in 2019 and has already been an exclusive actress for some of the industry's biggest names, including S1 and Madonna. Her resume speaks for itself.
What caught me off guard was the timing. Lately, Rika hasn't been releasing work at the same pace as before. From the outside, it almost felt like her focus had gradually shifted elsewhere, particularly toward her stage activities. I had started assuming she was taking a more relaxed approach to her JAV career, and she has willingly set aside JAV in the backseat. Shooting when opportunities appeared and focusing on other projects the rest of the time.

Apparently, I was completely wrong.
Shortly after addressing retirement rumors on X and reassuring fans that new projects were on the way, she followed it up with something much bigger,
Rika has turned into an exclusive status. That’s after roughly six years; she has once again signed an exclusive contract with a major studio. Now, that's a significant development.
And honestly, the more I think about it, the more the move makes sense. Rika's current image fits DAHLIA remarkably well. She has years of experience, strong name recognition, and the kind of on-camera confidence that only comes from spending years in the industry. She's also versatile enough to handle the more narrative-focused direction DAHLIA appears to be pursuing for its mature genre.
In other words, she's not just another addition to the roster. Rika feels like a strategic signing.
Of course, when the announcement first dropped, I found myself wondering whether DAHLIA might have gone after someone else instead. A few names immediately came to mind.
But looking at the current situation, especially with some actresses becoming increasingly inactive or stepping back from appearances, DAHLIA's decision suddenly looks pretty smart.
Maybe even a little foresighted. Either way, one thing is certain: DAHLIA wanted a statement signing for its next chapter, and judging by the reaction online, they got exactly that.
Now the real question is whether Rika Aimi will become the face of this so-called revolution. I'm very curious to see what happens next.

JAV's Newest Agency On The Block Is On A Recruiting Spree!
Honestly, at first, I almost scrolled right past this announcement because on the surface, nothing about it seemed particularly dramatic. Just a simple announcement from a JAV actress
Earlier, the Faleno Star exclusive Rara took to X this week to announce that she is officially leaving BStar and joining the newest agency on the block, StarNext. Nothing dramatic about it, right
In fact, if you're a casual fan, you probably wouldn't even notice if anything has changed. RARA gets to keep her stage name. She'll keep her social media accounts. Her activities will continue as usual. Business as usual.

この度、デビューよりお世話になったBstarを退所し、StarNextへ移籍しました。

But the more you look at the announcement, the more interesting it starts to get because lately, StarNext's name has been appearing everywhere.
For months, I have observed that they’ve been quietly ranking an increasing number of actresses. Naturally, that led to speculation. Some people even started assuming StarNext was somehow connected to Bambi Promotion, the agency that found itself under scrutiny after Mizuki Aibara accused them of cutting wages.
The rumors spread so widely that many began treating StarNext as if it were simply Bambi operating under a different logo. Apparently, that's not what this is. And strangely enough, the person who helped clear that up wasn't RARA. Instead, it was her former boss.
Shortly after the transfer was announced, BStar's president posted a message that honestly caught me off guard. “Although I'm a little sad to see her leave, I respect RARA's decision and will continue supporting her activities.”
少し寂しさはありますが、RARAの決断を尊重し、これからの活動を陰ながら応援していきたいと思います。

When I read that, I paused. Because if you've followed agency transfers long enough, you know they don't always look like this. It is very common for actresses sometimes to lose their stage names. At times, their social media accounts disappear overnight.
But this felt completely different. Not only did he openly wish her well, but he also reassured fans that RARA would keep both her name and her accounts moving forward. Honestly, the entire exchange felt surprisingly warm.
What made it even more interesting is that messages like this aren't exactly common. Over the years, plenty of actresses have changed agencies without receiving a personal farewell from their management, or maybe it is happening all behind the scenes.
Yet RARA did. That says something. And it speaks to the relationship they built over the years. It feels like an actress leaving one agency and joining another on genuinely good terms.
There's quite a bit to unpack because whenever a growing agency starts attracting established talent, people naturally start asking questions. And lately, StarNext is becoming one of those names that's getting harder and harder to ignore.
