Some JAV move worlds, others stick to just unusual themes. Every so often, what one wants most is just a straight-forward but not too vanilla love-dovey JAV.

That's a good question though: how can a "lovey-dovey" JAV movie avoid also being a "vanilla" JAV movie?

I few today's update featuring the vastly under-rated and never-aging REN MIYAMURA along side Silk Labo's ITTETSU to be a perfect example of this. Vanilla, I view as straight forward JAV where on top of there being essentially no plot in a scene, it still features sex that feels...well, kind of porny. You know: the over-acting, the positions rarely attempted in real life because surprising nobody they may look great but feel anything but. Lovey-dovey is not just "real sex" (as there are a ton of movies like that both within and outside of JAV) but encounters that feel incredibly organic. One can say all self-shot POV content fits the bill but I highly disagree. Most, in fact, do not.

BEFORE BED is a simple movie with excellent execution: two adults happy to be with each other have cozy sex. Discount the lighting (which isn't too bad but obviously brighter than natural conditions) and the fact that there is indeed a cameraperson and this is a movie that nails it. The casting works--it very much works! Rare to see ITTETSU in mosaic-free land though REN flitted back and forth showing the sheer might and opportunities taken by freelancers when the velvet curtain between the industries was more porous. Here, adorable and would make the most perfect wife of anyone.

There's obviously one flaw to this movie. DREAMROOM movies are known for two things. One is super obvious and the other a little less. It does, however, tie in with the first. Here, for reasons beyond me and all the stranger given the lovey-dovey plot focus, something was used that you almost never see employed in mosaic-free productions. Care to guess what it is?
