There's times when you see something at first glance and it seems to check all the boxes:

"I love hotwife movies!"

"I love Magic Mirror movies!"

"I love massages movies!"

"I love busty Japanese women!"

"I love JAV" (OK, this one's a freebie)

As luck would have it, there exists movies within JAV Land that seem to satisfy all these declarations of adoration and we're happy to be showing one of them today, our final update of the year (well, penultimate technically as this movie's second half deserves that credit). SOFT ON DEMAND took the above and really went to town when coming up with the idea for MAGIC MIRROR - HOTWIFE EROTIC OIL MASSAGE WHILE HUSBANDS WATCH which as the title implies, offers a heck of a lot all within one movie.

But does it live up to the hype? Not necessarily "is this perfect?", but I'm just hoping it perhaps takes the mostly hotwife movies we have been showing mostly by GOGOS and gives it a more mainstream touch. In some ways, it does succeed on this front, but on others, it kind of falls flat. Make no mistake: what we get here is awesome and does deliver, but this could also be a good example of asking for too much and getting it heaped on a place that just can't contain it all.

Even the concept already is a bit odd from the wife's perspective at least: being treated by her husband to a "free" 90 minute massage in an upscale clinic that's staffed by MYUU of all people who acts as both the receptionist and later, some type of 'announcement lady' (my phrasing) during the bulk of the treatment. As much as I love MYUU, seeing her simply standing around when the wife is being fingerbanged to an epic shiofuki conclusion while holding an oversized binder and reading (loudly!) out of it in a movie about sensual couple massages may have overdone it. In fact, in the sequel to this movie that we will be showing sooner than later (subtitling work is done already!), the location is the same, but some of the audacity is turned down.

Because that--"audacity"--probably is where things get a bit too crazy. Realism unlike GOGOS is sorely lacking. Even the wife's reactions in all four scenes seems to be less "I'm a married woman who's doing something totally wrong with my husband only a few feet away!" and more "I'm a JAV star going through the motions with a guy I worked with many times in the past". I'm grumbling, I get it. But as a fan of a genre that sadly does not get too much love, please cut me some slack...

...because even with all these nitpicks, this still is a pretty darn good movie and I'm happy it serves as a closer for a truly tumultuous year when one steps back and surveys affairs across the world. Sometimes the best form of catharsis isn't poetry about natural transcendence, but pretending we're that elated husband getting to beat off while watching his oiled up top-heavy wife give another man a titjob before getting on all fours for receiving the outcome of her fine and thorough tit-thrusting. To a happy new year with more hotwife movies, more massage movies, and more of everything we all desire! JAV, peace, happiness, and non-staged nakadashi!
