What truly makes or breaks a great game show JAV is not the theme or whether all the women are babes. It's the dialog. The rivalry, if you will. This goes double in ROCKET's famous and by now legendary series THE PRIVATE PARTS GUESSING GAME. While all of them have been excellent, in previous reviews we've lamented that at times, the banter was lacking; RIRI KOUDA almost was given an impossible task to carry it all on her shoulders. Visually a work of art, but not always perfect (and since I've been asked, my favorite of the series is the NAIVE YOUNG STEP-MOTHERS one due to both casting and out of this world antics). Today's update may not feature the best casting (personal opinion) but per the rivalry element, it's way up there.
The most obvious face--or chest really because it's still hotly debated whether they're natural or some heterodox form of fat transfusion--is that of MARINA YUZUKI. Alongside her we've KOKO MASHIRO, an actress who I'm 95% certain is a closet metalhead (takes one to know one). With these two we've the 60+ year old NANAKO YOSHIOKA who possesses a body those decades younger would be envious of. The one missing face: the aforementioned RIRI KOUDA whom at this time was taking something of a JAV sabbatical to focus on her burgeoning career as a stripper. Her replacement: AYAME ICHINOSE.
As we've seen in past ROCKET game show movies, the only face that really could hold her own is YUI KAWAGOE though for GUESSING GAME, we need less 'young sexy mama' and more slightly older with two teaspoons of dominance. AYAME had big shoes to fill and she actually did a pretty good job. No RIRI, but she definitely did her homework and props must be given.
The overall play this time was pretty much par for the course. We did not get any new elements but this was a fun title both to subtitle and of course to watch. The three female contestants do a great job of playing off of each other's differences. It's hard to imagine people will go to this lengths to win a measly five day Hawaiian vacation, but then again, with airline ticket pricing being the way it is...
