This was easily one of my most anticipated new releases from this month. Just the cover art alone is enticing. Thankfully, I can report that the film more than justifies my initial hype. It's no secret that I love nurse themes and Yui so this is right up my alley. The plot indeed casts Yui as a lewd nurse who loves to tend to her patients' sexual needs, all with a focus on ASMR and masturbation support. As a result, this means the entire film is shot in POV. There's the occasional wonky immersion-breaking camera angle, but for the most part it's on point. And thankfully, the ASMR/JOI play isn't too egregious. What really helps in that regard is Yui's standout performance. I don't need to tell you that Yui is a professional performer and she once again proves why she's among the best here. She's extremely lively with upbeat facial expressions and top-notch engagement. This is exactly how to play a smutty nurse.

A great performance is vital for POV and Yui knocks it out of the park. The action is also, mostly, a home run. It features two sex scenes, two handjob scenes, and a paizuri scene. There are some fake cumshots sadly throughout but that's sadly to be expected. Beyond that, I must say the second handjob scene falls flat. This is mostly due to the unsatisfying camera angle. The first handjob scene is solid though and serves as a perfect intro. I actually love the fact that Yui stays clothed during it with just a teasing glimpse of her cleavage. It's a nice touch before things really ramp up later on. The paizuri scene is great with its tittyplay emphasis. Both sex scenes are excellent too with a nice balance of positions that highlight her strongest assets. Couple this with some fantastic lighting and nurse outfits(and the nice orange lingerie piece) and you've got an absolute banger. Don't be shocked to see this land in my top 10 videos of the year.

It seems like Ako Kimura's films can be very hit-or-miss. This one unfortunately is way off the mark. The setup is potentially interesting with it tasking Ako with going around in various outdoors settings while sporting some vibrators attached to her nipples. They really try to amp up the risk factor but it falls completely flat. This is mostly because it's staged with many noticeable JAV sets like the infamous konbini location and others that feel pointless such as a moving car with the entire background censored. Now the adult dvd store theater room is an interesting pick with Ako looking very nice. However, the scene suffers from being shot in a rather cramped room leading to some unsatisfying angles.

The sex scene at the bar also shares a similar problem with mediocre camerawork and lackluster lighting. Speaking of which, the first sex scene is sadly ruined by some lousy lighting that sometimes looks like it was filmed inside an oven or something. Not to mention there's less than ten minutes of actual sex. It's just a complete waste of time all around. Aside from this, there's a so-so tittyfuck scene that just ends with a weak handjob finish. This is capped off with a mostly average performance from Ako with her middling enthusiasm. SNOS-385 has a few nice moments here and there but all the outdoor fluff in-between is tiresome. Trying to pull off this theme in the modern era is just pointless with how staged everything is. This is an easy skip.

I do think this is a good fit for Hana as she boasts an air of naivety matched by her budding sexuality. I really liked her enthusiasm overall and her pleasant facial expressions. Now, one aspect that isn't quite as nice is the lighting. The first scene is just far too saturated and bright for my liking giving it a very flat look.

Thankfully it greatly improves in the second sex scene but it's a bit too late. This is especially rough as there are just the two scenes in all. It's quite ridiculous as the first scene just goes on and on...and on. It ends with a group blowjob/tittyfuck scene which could've been nice but all the cumshots are sadly fake rendering it completely pointless. The second scene is far better with superior lighting and a sexy outfit(the one featured on the cover). I also liked the touch of attaching used condoms to her. It makes for a great visual. MUDR-399 is ultimately a tale of two halves. The first half is just much too long and suffers from poor lighting while the second is a complete 180 making for an average at best watch.

I really went into this with very low expectations, but I was ultimately pleasantly surprised. The biggest reason why I was not looking forward to this one is due to Taku being the main actor, combined with the setup. The action is another big highlight, for the most part. It consists of two sex scenes with one being the aforementioned group fuck alongside two paizuri scenes. My only real complaint is with the first sex scene. I REALLY could've done without the Taku fluff and the position variety is a tad limited. The lack of doggystyle there is a real shame. The two tittyfuck scenes are both enjoyable thanks to the real cumshots and I liked the added risk factor of the first one with her husband being in the nearby room. The group fuck at the end is easily the best scene with tons of sex and varied positions along with her receiving multiple real loads at the end. This is all on top of some excellent production values all around. The lighting is distinct with a nice range of setups and the camerawork is terrific too. I especially appreciated how well it handled the group fuck scene without being too messy. Against all odds with the premise and Taku, I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
