JAV Sales Report - October 2025 - Will Kanna Seto Ever Be Dethroned?

Welcome to the October Sales Report. We've seen Kanna Seto just dominate report after report. Is she still going to do that this month? Let's find out!

Miyu was not the actress I would have guessed to take down Kanna Seto’s reign but at the same time it also makes sense. I don’t think it was ever going to be Saika but Miyu has seemingly been everywhere these days. She’s basically the hottest freelancer I mean just look at these. It’s VR and they both look like great videos between schoolgirl and bloomers. Will be curious to see if this is just a fluke and Kanna goes back to her top spot next month or if Kanna’s reign is over.

Kanna Seto doing paizuri was not the release I expected to dethrone her. Like what? She has nice boobies and will undoubtedly do a good job of it. What are these people thinking?!?! Regardless it’s interesting to see her finally dip below first. For the record, she placed first every month since her debut until now, so 10 straight months in first place. We’ll have to remember that if it ever comes up again with a new debut, but 10 straight months at first for the start of your career is absolutely incredible.

SOD as a team absolutely killed it this month with multiple names in the top 25, including many who weren’t even in the top 100 last month. It’s wild to see them do quite this well collectively. What’s interesting is that they’ve all had a lot of different releases in October. Some of them are generic releases others have done and yet they’re doing well. I don’t even see anything that suggests something special, just them doing well because SOD is nice. Will be curious to see if it really was just a sale propping them up.

I don’t claim to be the biggest Ichika fan and I don’t think I ever will, but sometimes you need to stop and appreciate good things when you see them. 4 hour best 8K VR collection looks great. Look at it however you want but maid and more maid from Ichika looks nice.

Kana has done well for a while now and hovering in the lower half of the top 25 sounds about right. Sometimes you get fluctuations like this and when I look at this cover I can see why. Kana has a lot of skills as a performer and it feels like she just needs the right film to make it work. Maybe just letting her cook like this one seems to is enough. Get some good camera angles, get some good framing, she’ll find a way to make it hot. It looks surprisingly nice for what it is. Maybe Flavory is just a good studio, this is only their 11th release but maybe they’re able to unlock something special with director Pero Motofuji. The studio does feel like an offshoot from Deeps’ Flavors label, the name, the covers, the video codes, even taking the same director. Either way Kana is doing well and hopefully I’ll see something from Flavory to find out if they’re any good.

Nozobuki are seeing a lot of success this month, no doubt from their idol harem release in early October. For those unaware the four of them are in an idol group called Mi Luna and this sort of cross studio collab was obviously going to be really well received. I would have expected some others to be doing well too as Nana and Honoka aren’t strangers to the list. Wouldn’t be surprised if this carried some momentum into the next month or two just because of how special the release is.

Nano Ogasawara has been doing quite well for herself as a new SOD debut. SOD Star tends to not have that many debuts each year but they tend to be quite good at picking winners. I guess it helps that you can just film a video, see how they do, and shove it onto a different label if it doesn’t. I don’t know if they negotiate with label they end up on, if I were an agent I totally would. She gives me a lot of Ai Hongo vibes and I think that’s just great for Hongo fans, I’ve also heard Rima Arai and I agree there as well. Either way I’ll be curious to see how she stacks up against the rest of their star roster.

It’s finally here. Final Impression. 引退. Retirement. Kana Momonogi’s career is over. It’s always a sad time for fans seeing a retirement but it’s especially sad for someone like Kana with a 10+ year career. She’s been one of the biggest names at one of the biggest studios for a decade and that alone is impressive. I really hope she continues to keep up everything on socials because they’re always a treat I wish I had gotten into Kana a little earlier but she’s been a pleasure to watch and hopefully doesn’t stray too far.

Some girls are just meant to play schoolgirls and that’s what we see here. Mia Nanasawa (who is up to 25th on digital sales), Mio Ishikawa (up to 12th on digital sales and 2nd on physical sales), Arina Arata (7th on physical sales), this all makes sense with a release like this. It turns out that sometimes a schoolgirl outfit alone can be enough, and my biggest criticism of these kinds of films (schoolgirls outside of school) is getting fully nude and abandoning the theme, so maybe this series has it right.

I heard you guys like 50 year old milfs. No? Okay fine, how about a 49 year old one? That’s what we find here in Sanae and I’m not sure what to make of her. She certainly seems a bit older and a bit generic but then again sometimes this kind of natural look can go hard. I feel like I need a little bit more out of my porn and that I’m not the audience for it (despite my affinity for milfs). Maybe it’s her not being busty, who knows. Regardless SOD seems to do well with these random actresses and we’ll have to see if she pops up again anywhere.

This is what Hono Watanabe (渡部ほの) fans have to look forward to this month. If that doesn’t get you excited you may not be attracted to women. I mean seriously, she’s cute, she’s busty, she’s slim, she’s everything you could want. S1 has proven time and time again they have the best scouts and let’s face it, the results speak for themselves.

Iyo Shinohara (篠原いよ) has been doing incredible for herself since she redebuted and November looks like it’ll be her best film yet. I cannot get over the idea of Maki sucking some milk out of Iyo’s tits, what a film that will be. I have no more words, either that makes you hard as a rock and you'll watch it or Iyo is not for you.

I know I’ve written about it before but Unpai (うんぱい) and Ren Gojo (五条恋) are doing quite well for themselves after having swapped to Moodyz. As much as I enjoy S1 I think most of that enjoyment just comes from the women and production quality. Sure, film your 4K videos with someone having giant 110L cup boobs, absolute peak. But sometimes, and by sometimes I mean all the time, I’m disappointed with their plots. Turns out going to Moodyz and having the ability to do creampies means you can be more creative, and it turns out being more creative gives you more variety and quite frankly that just means better films. I’ll still be curious to see if either of them can move up into the top 25 because I feel like there’s room for them to keep going, especially once Ren gets more and more interesting films.

There’s just something about a hot older woman working as an office lady and it’s no surprise to see Yoshino Moriya (守屋よしの) being the next big thing. It’s not the first time nor the last we’ll see someone do well on SOD’s Female Employee label. Yoshino feels like she’s primed to make the swap to the main roster just like Haru Shibasaki did. She’s got a bit of time to get there as Haru did a full 12 releases and two VRs so Yoshino is only about half way. Still maybe worth keeping an eye on Yoshino as she might be worth taking a gander for this year’s debut season.

I don’t know what it is about Yu Shinoda (篠田ゆう) that makes her still top all these lists. She’s on not only Bookmate’s top 100 but even top 25 at DMM. I mean I get that Yu was a great actress and all, she was one of my favourites too, but her last film was almost two years ago. Maybe it was how many films she released? That can’t be it, Kurea Hasumi didn’t see the same success when she retired. Maybe it was that she didn’t film a retirement video so people can’t move on? No that can’t be it, Kurea didn’t do that either. Maybe she was just that popular? But Yua Mikami isn’t seeing the same success. I’ll probably never figure it out but it will always be something to watch.

When Sara Futaba (二羽紗愛) left Moodyz I saw the writing on the wall. I knew she’d bounce from Madonna and go freelance and just be a whatever actress. Turns out I was wrong. No, not about her bouncing from Madonna, she definitely did, but she’s turning out to be a decent actress. Yes, she does film with some lower end studios like Nagae Style and Aurora Project, but it turns out she’s still doing well enough for herself. I guess it turns out if you’re cute and have big tits nothing else matters. At least, that’s what I tell myself because that’s really the only way I can make sense of it. Maybe I still feel like there’s something missing with her to make her shine, but I also think that maybe the industry let her drop down a little too fast.

When Rea Marumo (丸最レア) debuted I wasn’t quite sure what to make of her. She wasn’t quite what I was led to believe she would be and I think people saw the same thing I did with where she ended up. At the same time I can accept that S1 was never ever going to be the right studio for someone with that kind of personality. I look at this release from Halentino and wonder if we were a bit early with writing her off. Of course, she has to make this film work but this seems like a perfect chance to validate my parking - either she does this justice and you watch more or she doesn’t and we let her fade into obscurity. Either way, I can see how she’s hanging on and this feels like the make or break.

Hinano Kanon (ひなの花音) aka Shio Asami seems to be holding on now that she’s over at Idea Pocket. I have no clue what goes into a transfer from a lower tier studio (Faleno) to a higher tier studio but I sure as hell will be interested in whether it works or not. We tend to really see the exact opposite, you go from S tier to A tier to freelance and then repeat the cycle. Maybe IP sees something in her that I didn’t, because I really didn’t see the making of a star. Maybe they just needed someone a little bustier on their roster, she’s no Himeka Iori but they’re listing her at 96J which is by far the biggest they have. I don’t expect much but my analytical mind will be curious about this play for months to come.

Another great month in the books, especially seeing Kanna Seto finally dethroned. It was bound to happen eventually though secretly I wanted to see her make a full year. Either way what she has done is very impressive, a feat I do not expect us to see beaten pretty much ever. Either way let's keep an eye out next month to see if she's able to reclaim her top spot.
