BREAKING: JAV Agency LIGHT Splits Into Two!

This is one interesting development to look at!

JAV talent agency LIGHT is splitting into two separate agencies after a decision by its management, and honestly, this is one of those industry announcements that could have some impact on the overall JAV scene. LIGHT announced the news through X, addressing both its business partners and fans who have supported its talents over the years.

In its statement, LIGHT commented,

“We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your continued support of the actresses affiliated with LIGHT. We are writing to inform you that the actresses previously affiliated with LIGHT will now be moving to separate agencies, ‘ELTRA’ and ‘EST,’ and will continue their activities under this new arrangement.”

The agency added that information regarding the actresses' future activities and inquiries will now be handled by their respective new agencies.

So, in simple terms, LIGHT as we knew it is officially ceasing operations as a whole entity and is effectively being divided between ELTRA and EST, and here is where things get interesting.

The reason this announcement caught my attention is that LIGHT isn't exactly some small agency that is unheard of by fans. For the unversed, LIGHT represents several well-known names in the JAV industry, including Ichika Matsumoto, Yuka Murakami, and Mary Tachibana.

So naturally, the first question that comes to mind is: Who is going to land where?

Because splitting an agency like this isn't just about changing the name on a business card. For the actresses involved, it could potentially affect management, bookings, promotional activities, and even how their future careers are handled.

Out of the major names associated with LIGHT, Mary Tachibana is probably the least affected by this news. For those who know, she has already retired, so there isn't exactly a pending JAV release or contract signing to worry about.

But Ichika Matsumoto is a completely different story. She remains active, and her most recent JAV appearance was in a Moodyz release back in July. So naturally, fans are going to be wondering which of the two new agencies will be handling her going forward.

The same applies to Yuka Murakami and the other actresses who were previously represented by LIGHT.

Will the existing management teams simply divide the roster between ELTRA and EST, or will certain actresses have a choice in which agency they join? At the moment, I don't really know.

LIGHT's announcement itself doesn't appear to go into much detail about how it would divide its talent roster.

So for now, there's still a lot left to figure out. They’ve only confirmed that the actresses will continue their activities under the two new agencies. But considering the number of recognizable names that came out of LIGHT, I don't think this is something fans will simply ignore.

The interesting part will be seeing where already renowned names end up and whether this split changes anything about how these actresses are promoted and managed.

For Ichika especially, I'll be keeping an eye on her as she is relatively quiet since her last Moodyz release, and now we have another question hanging over her future activities.

So, for now, let's wait & watch to see who gets ELTRA, who gets EST, and what exactly this means for the future of LIGHT's biggest stars. I guess we'll find out soon enough.
